‘President Olivia? Me? Are you kidding me? I’m in the hospital for no reason. How did I become President Olivia?’

Olivia sat up straight and looked at the kind elderly woman on the tablet with a puzzled expression. There wasn’t a trace of hypocrisy in her expression.

“What’s going on?”

The shareholders looked at each other. It seemed like Olivia still did not know what had happened.

The kind elderly woman smiled as if she was very satisfied with the outcome.

“The business partners have all agreed to continue working with the Garcia Corporation. However, their condition was: ‘I will only work with Miss Olivia.’ Therefore, the shareholders unanimously believe that you should be the President and not the Vice President.”

Only then did Olivia understand what was going on. When she thought about what had happened before, she knew without a doubt that this tyrant beside her had caused it. Her heart felt warm, and she felt that her life was gradually improving.

“Since that’s the case, I’ll accept it.”

One of the men looked at Olivia disdainfully. “Congratulations! I don’t know what methods you’ve used, but you’ve managed to win over so many partners.”

Everyone’s expression changed.

At that moment, two people who looked like policemen walked into the conference room. They took out arrest warrants in front of everyone and acted selflessly.

“Who is Brock Simmons?”

The man that had made the venomous comment earlier looked flustered, obviously unaware of what was happening. He raised his hand under the authority of the police.

“I am.”

A police officer took out a pair of handcuffs and walked toward Brock. “Someone reported that you deliberately hurt someone. Come with us.”

The police officer placed the handcuffs on Brock’s hands without any explanation. He was no longer as arrogant as before. Instead, he looked like he was in dire straits. He didn’t expect that even after being so careful, he was still caught red-handed.

The video call suddenly ended in a rush.

Olivia seemed to have understood what was going on. What happened today was most likely related to this man called Brock.

How interesting.

Was she a hateful person? Why did so many people want to harm her?

Brian’s phone rang, interrupting Olivia’s thoughts. The man stood up, walked to the window, picked up the call, and hung up shortly after.

“There’s something going on at the company. There’s a contract in Europe that I need to discuss personally. You have to take good care of yourself while I’m away, understand?”

A trace of reluctance lingered in Olivia’s heart, unable to disperse for a long time. Unknowingly, the weight in her heart became heavier and heavier, and she hadn’t even realized it.

“When are you leaving?”

‘Damn it, this woman is so direct. She didn’t even ask anything else. Is it boring to be with me?’ Brian was a little annoyed. ‘Why didn’t she show that she couldn’t bear to part with me at all?’

“My flight is at three.”

Olivia got off the bed, hugged Brian, and looked up at his handsome face.

“Be careful when you go out. Also, remember to miss me. You look too handsome. Don’t bring any girls back. I’m not easy to deal with.”

Olivia’s performance shocked Brian. He cupped her small face and gently kissed her tender lips. When the nurse who had just entered saw this scene, she immediately blushed and hurriedly retreated.

The sudden kiss stunned Olivia. When she heard the commotion at the door, she immediately pushed Brian away. Her little face was red like a child who had been caught doing something wrong.

When she walked out of the door, she saw a young nurse with a flushed face. The nurse’s face turned even redder upon seeing Olivia coming out, and she couldn’t speak properly.

“I, I, I, I didn’t see anything. The attending doctor asked me to tell you that you can leave now. There’s a surgery that needs to be performed soon. It won’t be good for you to stay in the emergency room.”

Olivia felt a little awkward and expressed that she would leave immediately. The news that she had become the President was spreading swiftly. Her cousin called and said that she wanted to celebrate for her. The custom-made clothes had already been prepared and would be sent over tonight.

After sending Brian off, the huge villa instantly became a little cold and lifeless. Uncle Ford had disappeared, while Grandpa Ford had returned to his own residence. The servants were busy with their own work, and the villa was spotless every day.

It took at least half an hour to walk all the way to the garden full of flowers. This was probably the place where the spring scenery was described. Olivia really liked the violet flowers blooming on the branches.

The maid walked in with an elegant woman. It was her cousin who was holding a few boxes in her hands, smiling at Olivia.

“The clothes are ready. Let’s pick one out tonight and have some fun. We’ll invite Lina to join us at the bar to celebrate the fact that you don’t have to look at that disgusting guy anymore.”

Of course, Olivia knew who her cousin was referring to. Who else could it be other than her father, Joseph, who bullied the weak and feared the strong? When she thought of him, she felt a wave of displeasure in her heart.

“Don’t mention such a person on such a good day. Have you called Lina yet? If not, I’ll call her. I wonder if she’s busy.”

Tiffany Garcia looked as if she had come to a sudden realization and slapped her forehead.

‘Damn it, I really forgot about this matter…’ Tiffany stared at Olivia apologetically.

“To tell you the truth, I really forgot. It wasn’t easy for me to find you, so I definitely had to focus on you. That’s why I forgot.”

Tiffany swung Olivia’s hand coquettishly. Her voice was soft and sweet, and she didn’t look like a strong woman anymore. Acting coquettishly was quite effective, and some of Olivia’s complaints had disappeared. If Olivia were a man, she probably wouldn’t be able to resist it.

“Haha, it’s not a big deal. I’ll go call Lina. But I only met her once. Do you think she’ll come if I call her?”

This was what Olivia was worried about. She didn’t know Lina that well. Wouldn’t this be too abrupt?

Tiffany smiled. This girl was really stupid.

“If she didn’t want to get to know you, she wouldn’t have given you her name card. If you take this opportunity to get to know her, it won’t be a bad thing for you. You need friends too. Even if you’re just friends, you need to have some companionship. That way, you won’t be lonely.”

Only then did Olivia find Lina’s name card. She didn’t expect the latter to be generous to the point of booking a private room for them.

Olivia took out the clothes that Tiffany had brought. It was the black swan dress that she liked the most. She took it out and tried it on. Looking at herself in the mirror, she nodded with satisfaction. Sure enough, after modifying it, it made her look more presentable.

When Olivia walked out, Tiffany was stunned by her beauty. She looked at her younger cousin, who was slender and elegant and felt a little sad in her heart. She had been searching for her for so many years but still had been unable to find her. Whenever Tiffany met Joseph, Olivia wasn’t around, as if she had been hidden away.

Tiffany’s eyes were slightly red upon thinking of this.

“Cousin, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?” Olivia’s tone was filled with concern, and she felt an indescribable closeness to this cousin of hers. It had been too long since she had felt a kinship. This sudden kinship made Olivia feel rather lost and helpless.
