Morningstar Of Sin

Chapter 71 - The Burden Of Sin

I snap my fingers in front of his face letting off a hint of burning sulfur. His eyes snap open as he tries to struggle but gluttony has left his body so weak he can only just barely turn his head.

I sigh "Why do you have to be so difficult?" I ask with an annoyed gaze.

"Who the hell are you?" He asks with grit teeth still struggling to regain power.

"Lucifer Morningstar, I was trying to introduce myself when you attacked me, you gnat," I say turning in the seat.

"What do you want?" He seemingly gives up his struggle.

"As I was saying before, I am going around looking for aliens. I have my subordinates deal with the evil ones while I'm talking to the neutral and good ones. I am also helping the refugees, I know you are a refugee because Krypton was destroyed, and I know what you want." I hold out a contract in front of him.

I give him a tiny amount of power back, enough to move his body like cripple with bad tendons. He grabs the paper and begins to read, various expressions cross his face.

"You are giving my adoptive parent's good health until they naturally die of old age? And wiping their memories of our fight? All I have to do is not harm innocents?" I laugh under my breath 'fight he says'. He apparently heard me since he is now glaring at me.

I shrug "Well I can't give your real parent's good health. They are dead, like suppperrrr f.u.c.k.i.n.g dead. I would know, I've experienced a few planetary explosions. Trust me, even when it doesn't damage you it still hurts like a bitch." I say remembering my time purging celestials who annoyed me before Galactus was a thing.

I look up to see a deathly glare on the boy's face. I just give him a smile "Was that ins.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e? My fault. Are you going to be a good son and sign the papers or not? I got shit to do and you're wasting my time. If it weren't for Martha's amazing pie I would have just given up and let your dad die from his heart attack."

"What is the price if either of us breaks the contract?" He asks with a grim expression.

I roll my eyes "Lighten up, it's just your soul. You are only mortal after all… If I let your parents die I'll just resurrect them of course."

"Do I have a choice?" He asks setting the contract down on his l.a.p.

"Of course you do, I am the embodiment of free will… But your father doesn't if I had not helped him today he would have died from a heart attack. It will happen again in the future…" I say trying not to be a letdown but still giving it to him straight.

"I'll sign it." He says gesturing for a pen.

I hand him a pen from my b.r.e.a.s.t pocket as a light smile spreads to my lips. "Good, I would prefer your parent's don't know about this deal, they seem religious. Keep it between us."

He nods as he quickly signs his name and the contract burns to flames binding us. "Can I get out now? And have my power back?"

"You don't want us to just take you home?" I ask as I look at Legion who is driving.

"I would rather fly, it's faster." He says with a tired tone.

I nod "Pull over." The car slows to a stop at the side of the road. I step out as I look at him curiously "Do you know the other Kryptonians? Kara and Conner?"

His eyes narrow, "You know them?" He asks stepping out of the car.

"Yeah, I gave Kara a visit a month or so ago… speaking of that someone has a contract to sign." I mumble the last part to myself as I rub my chin.

"What did she ask for?" He asks curiously as I give him his powers back.

I smirk "10,000,000 dollars. She was a simple one."

He smirks "Always has been." He gestures goodby as he quickly makes his escape flying back to the farmhouse.

I scoot back into the car as my eyes meet Hela's "What a strange interaction." She says genuinely curious.

"Why?" I ask looking at Angela to see if she thinks the same.

"You were rather lenient… Why did you let him speak to you like that?" She ask brushing up to me and putting a hand on my shoulder. Angela is also looking back with curiosity in her eyes.

"I'm sure you don't know but I'll ask anyway. Do you know why I first killed the six other sins and deemed them unworthy?" I ask while putting an arm around her.

She shakes her head while Angela gives a small smirk "Because you were too prideful?"

I shoot her a quick glare and smirk "No, because they could not control the power and feelings that came with them… No matter how much I eat, I am always hungry, no matter how much I kill, I still wish to slaughter, no matter how much I waste my year away doing nothing, I wish to do it more."

I look between the both of them "No matter how much I have, I want more, No matter how much I wish murder every man who has even come near you even in passing, it would not satiate me. No matter how many people I keep beneath my heel, it will never be enough."

I put a finger on her chin raising her head to me kissing her deeply smirking as I pull away "No matter how many times we f.u.c.k I want it again… I have lived teetering on the edge of insanity for so long I forgot how emotions feel. But I know how other feel and I want that…"

"That is why I started accepting wives again. I want a family to love. To me that is more valuable than every single life in this multiverse. That is also the reason I plan to leave soon. To punish and get back my emotions so I love you all as you deserve." I say looking at Angela this time.

"And what gives us the right to deserve so much?" Angela asks curiously looking invested in the information I'm sharing.

I brush the red hair out of her face "Because you are a wife to THE Morningstar."

"So who are you going to hunt down?" Hela asks looking between the two of us.

I shrug "I haven't decided yet. I will let you know when I do. Currently, I can raise my power by another level or two without becoming a beast again. So I have many choices as only a few thousand existences can match me at this point."

Hela gives a seductive smile as she leans forward into my ear and whispers "You better give a few more nights like the last before you leave. You have to fulfill your role as a husband after all."

I wrap my arm around her and pull her close, "Of course." I look forward to see Angela rolling her eyes. I smile seeing that her cheeks are tinged a bit red from embarrassment.

"Grab my hand. We are going to Philadelphia." I say reaching a hand to Angela.

I look up at Legion as she takes my hand "Oh, and Legion."

"Yes, my king?" The voice echoes back.

"Forget everything you heard." With my parting words, we vanish from the car.
