Morningstar Of Sin

Chapter 66 - Arawn and Rhodysa

(A/N: I actually got a bit of backstory down for my original story. I want to try and get it done by the end of the year but that is a LOT of writing that I don't have the time nor energy for. Tomorrow will be a chapter of Reaper and Mornginstar, also a poll is up, go check it out if you're in the discord.

------------------

It isn't long before Arawn and his wife Rhodysa are standing on the doorstep. I open the door for them which causes Sebastion to stutter a bit.

The door opens to reveal Arawn and Rhodysa with lowered heads. "Arawn, Rhodysa. It has been a while."

"It has my King." She says with a small curtsy.

I gesture them inside "Come inside, my wives are touring the house at the moment. Would you like to meet them?" I ask as they walk inside arm in arm.

Rhodysa looks at me with wide eyes "May I?"

I nod my head "The Matron of my lower harem is in the Library, lets go drink some tea while we bug her, shall we?"

They both nod as they follow Sebastion number one through the doors and I walk behind. Inside the library are shelves lined with books nearly a hundred feet high. The room itself is massive from end to end but has a couch, a few armchairs, and a desk along with a coffee table just at the entrance.

I sit down in a big soft armchair as I speak to The Ancient One through the power of the realm. "Come read at the sitting area, we have guests."

Only a few seconds later she appears down the nearest lane of shelves with a small pile of books floating behind her. I smirk at the comical entrance. Arawn and Rhodysa stand from the couch to greet her as she makes her way to us.

She gives them a nod as she greets them "I am The Ancient One, Lucifer's wife."

They both lower their heads as they greet her "I am Arawn, this is my wife Rhodysa. I am the Lord of Annwn and the second Hell."

She nods "I know a lot about you. I was the next in line for Sorcerer supreme back when Merlin was still strutting around and I knew people who worshipped you. Merlin often spoke of you."

A rare genuine smile comes to Arawn's lips "Merlin was a good man. I remember him well. He gave me his soul when he was sixteen for better aptitude at magic. A cunning human who feared no one."

She sits down on the seat next to me as the books floating behind her rest on the desk. "What type of tea would the masters like?"

I shrug "I will have black."

"Green for me." The Ancient One says giving Sebastion a thankful nod.

Arawn looks at his wife before he speaks "We will have cream green tea."

Sebastion nods, he claps his hands as three tea kettles and four cups with saucers appear. The kettles slowly pour the tea, they float to each of us after they are filled.

"Not be rude but I am curious. Do you have a name other than The Ancient One?" Rhodysa asks as she takes a sip of tea.

The Ancient One laughs a bit "I used to of course. But over a thousand years ago I gave it up for power. I don't even remember it anymore. Frankly, I don't want to remember it either."

Rhodysa nods in understanding "Why don't you choose a new name?" I ask as I grab her hand.

She smiles as she holds my hand "Perhaps… I will if a reason to arises in the future."

I nod "So why did you come Arawn? Just housewarming?"

He smiles "Yes and no. I wanted to know what you think about the city. I also wished to meet your wives. They are the Queens after all."

The Ancient One smirks at me "Sometimes I forget I am a Queen of Hell now."

"Do I not treat you like a Queen?" I ask snarkily.

She rolls her eyes "You are a much better husband than I expected, I will give you that."

I give her a wink "I try." I look up at Sebastion "Where are the other girls?"

He bows as he answers "The girls are currently in the sauna lounge."

My brows raise "Since when does my castle have a sauna?"

Arawn quickly lowers his head "I'm sorry if it is not to your taste. It was my idea to add it as an addition between the pool and bathes."

I gesture for him to raise his head "It's fine. I will not complain about improvements. Especially since the women will be here more than I will. It was a good choice."

"I thank my king for his praise." He says with a smile.

"I will tell you what I think after I go out to the city with the women. I can't get an accurate understanding of the city just by scouring through it with my divine sense. Although my initial impressions give me high expectations." I say leaning back while taking a sip of tea.

He nods "Then I will patiently await your thoughts. Ah, by the way, I don't know if you care but Asmodeus has been getting along well with his son. I heard he has the ability to teleport through the burning limbo of the fourth hell."

My brows raise. "Have you talked with him already?"

"I have. He arrived yesterday morning and I greeted him not long after. His wife will be staying here rather than in their realm the majority of the time. Since Asmodeus has the hell of burning punishment I can understand why she wouldn't wish to stay there long." Arawn says taking a sip of tea after.

(A/N: Hell's time is WAYYYY slower than earth time. Every layer is like that except his personal plane and Empyrean, they are faster than earth time.)

"I plan to make a portal in the castle from this hell to my personal plane. Since I have to handle business at my plane I want my wives to be able to visit me while I work." I say with a small smile.

"Of course. I don't mind you creating a semi-permanent gate. It only makes sense that your wives should be able to visit your true castle anytime they want." I nod at his words.

"I will give Meg the order to create the other side of the gate later." I look at The Ancient One as I finish my words to see her already reading a book.

Feeling my eyes on her she puts down the book "Sorry, I don't mean to be rude but I am an avid reader and these books are worth their weight in souls."

"Souls are weightless," I say with a raised brow.

"I know." She says with a smirk.

I roll my eyes as I finish my tea and stand up "I'm sorry to kick you out but I want to head to town with my wives soon."

Arawn and Rhodysa stand up as well "Of course. I hope you enjoy your day on the town my King." Rhodysa says.

"I hope so as well," I say with a smile as I gesture Sebastion to escort them out.

"Goodbye my King, my Queen." Arawn says bowing his head. He then turns and they follow Sebastion out the library doors.

I raise my eyebrows as I look at The Ancient One who already has her head buried in a book again. "I suppose I will leave you to it until I come back with everyone."

She smiles as she peers past the books "I would be thankful for that." I am already walking away as she finishes speaking.

I lean against the doorframe as I give her a grin "You know as long as you stay my wife you can continue reading until the end of time?"

She laughs a bit "I think even I would be bored of it at that point."

I shrug "I suppose." I walk out of the room meeting the original Sebastion in the entrance hall.

He bows his head "Where would you like to go my King. I will show you the way."

I laugh a bit "I know my way around my palace."

----5 minutes later----

"Sebastion, wherein the hell am I?"
