The hunt failed.

The group went back to the academy after a roundabout trip through the forest which included 3 hours of camping and making noise as well as not a single minute of peace and quiet for Tanya. She could not even relieve herself without having Penelope and Yuna continue squeezing onto her arms.

She was just glad to be back in her warm, soft, smooth bed. That was until she was drained of all her remaining energy and left to lay on the bed with two bodies hugging onto her. This time, Rose and Penelope had restrained her.

"This is my life now. An empress… of the bedroom." Tanya sighed.

The very next day would be much more eventful than this one. Tanya kept that in mind as she drifted slowly into a state of near sleep. The wedding would be one of the most important events of her life, no doubt she would be even more tired the next night, nevertheless, she still maintained an excited disposition towards it.

Marriage had always been a foreign idea to Tanya. When she was still a man, as Tane, he just slept with anyone that would benefit him in the grand scheme of things. His body was constantly working on the battlefield and at home. When it wasn't, he would be busy with his administrative duties.

Love was just alien to her. Until now, her heart had never really felt warmth towards women. It had always been a transaction-like relationship, nothing more. Now, she felt like she had met many women that she could spend her life with. This second chance had really done a lot for her.

With that in mind, Tanya finally closed her eyes and fell into deep slumber.

Come the next day, she was woken up at the crack of dawn. The room was blurry in her mind as she rushed to find focus in the split seconds she spent trying to transition into her awake state.

She immediately began witnessing a busy scene. Dresses were being brought forth from the door, the girls and some homunculi had entered to help dress Penelope, Rose, and Yuri; and finally, Tanya was actually not in bed.

To put it more accurately, she had just been lifted up from the bed and was on her way to a cushioned seat. Her homunculi had taken great efforts into not making her wake up. Alas, Tanya's senses were much sharper than the average man.

"Quickly, get everything ready! The wedding is supposed to begin in four hours! We do not have enough time for lazing." Yuna ordered the girls, clearly invested in the event.

'If I help out well enough, Tanya might marry me too…' Yuna had yet again gotten caught up in her own fantasies.

"Snap out of it! We have work to do!" Diana shook her head with disappointment practically written all over it as she saw Yuna daydream.

"The king and queen are coming today, you'd better not slack and make this wedding a disaster!"

Yuri was ecstatic. Ever since Tanya had saved her when she was getting beaten months ago, Yuri had come to see Tanya as the only person she could ever love. Anyone else was just another person that wasn't worthy of her cuteness. Even an infinitely small fraction of Tanya was better than the entirety of someone else.

'Who cares if you have flowers and claim to be a prince. I have Tanya, I would rather be deflowered.' Yuri firmly believed this was an innocent idea. Love between a wedded party is always innocent and romantic.

'Tanya is finally going to marry me. I made sure this wedding would be absolutely perfect, even if Yuri and Penelope are piggybacking off my wedding, my efforts to court Tanya are enough. Just her knowing that I worked this hard to prove I can be an excellent wife is enough for me.' Rose thought to herself as she had makeup applied to her.

'Tanya is so cute today. I love her so much when she is confused like that, it reminds me of when I used to teach her how to write~ I wonder which way we will be doing it tonight…' Penelope silently admired Tanya and had her hair done.

"Make sure the families of the brides have been shown to their seats. There can be no delay when the main event starts. I cannot stress this enough!" Although Yuna seemed very bossy, she did her job well. Because of her, the invites had been sent out on time and all of the more minor details had been dealt with accordingly. It would be no over-exaggeration to say that Yuna is a wizard at planning.

"I heard Alpha will be arriving soon with the rest of the command team. Utter victory behind enemy lines was projected already, this is indeed a terrific victory for our master." A homunculi commented to another as they worked on the brides.

"She will definitely be receiving a commendation from master. I sincerely hope that Alpha is rewarded with the ultimate honour reserved for heroes of the homunculi."

"Yes, I do too. She has shown admirable bravery and was the first to serve our master. She shall represent our brothers and sisters in the court of our master."

The homunculi continued to chatter amongst themselves as they worked through the various tasks they had been assigned. Eventually, after an hour, everyone was ready for the wedding.

He white dresses had been put on, their hair and makeup had already been so expertly done.

As one might expect, the dresses appeared to be of excellent quality. Sent by Yuri's grandma as a gift. Aside from the fact that the dresses all fit perfectly well to the point of being a bit creepy, everyone thought that they were perfect on the girls.

'It fits like another layer of skin… even my chest and hips feel tightly hugged but not too stiff… how did Yuri's grandmother find out our measurements to such a degree without ever measuring us? These old ladies are too scary. I have been an emperor for centuries and I have never been so scared of an old lady.' Tanya shivered at the thought of Yuri's grandmother possibly fondling her while she slept.

"Yuri, how did your grandma find out our measurements?" Rose asked with a slightly confused expression while feeling up her dress.

"I measured you all while you were sleeping." Yuri straightaway answered.

"..."

At the very least, Tanya felt a little bit better that an old lady had not been the one measuring her. Yuri had a pass because she was incredibly cute and didn't constantly cause trouble for Tanya like it was her life's mission. On the other hand, she was also the descendant of the person that kept on making Tanya live on the edge.

"It's time to greet the guests! Everyone out!"
