Masked Girl and Her Prince

65 Chapter 65: Kill...Destroy

Moments ago when Usui was retaliating,

At the same time, Hazel was finding it hard to save her clothes. Gritting her teeth, she decided to just focus on the battle. The guy smirked as they exchanged blows. Explosions occurred around them, destroying the flowers.

"Who ordered you?" she asked once when their attacks clashed.

The guy chuckled as he dodged her move, "Pretty princess, Do you think you have the time to care about that?"

Hazel snorted, "Of course... I have to go after them when I finish dealing with you."

The guy laughed, "Aren't you being too confident?"

Hazel smiled and did not answer. Why should she? When she knows the result.

Hazel mustered fireballs and aimed at him which he dodged successively. He dodged as he approached her and when he did, his eyes glinted, "Why do you have so many enemies? Are you that much of a threat? "

His question made Hazel furrow her brows. However, his next sentence cleared up her thoughts, "Princess, you should rethink about who you choose to keep close and who you shouldn't ."

Saying this, he glanced at Usui who was fighting. The guy frowned hard as this guy ruined all his plans. Alas! if she was alone, then he would have long subdued her.

Still, the one who ruined the plans the most was none other than the princess. His eyes darted to the panting lady whose dress was close to rags. Torn pieces hanging displaying her snowy white skin which had a tint of red from all the battle. She looked ravishing that the guy licked his lip.

Hazel snorted as she aimed her finger and shot fire bullets at him. He dodged it and she continued to shoot at him, "Nice try! Better choose another person for me to doubt, next time."

She couldn't help but roll her eyes at him. This guy was trying his best to protect me, even going as far as sacrificing his health to help her. She remembered the war which happened days ago, her heart winced when she remembered his state. If not for her phoenix, she didn't know what would happen!

The guy dodged her moves and threw spikes at her as he flew diagonally dodging her attacks. He landed neatly and darted towards her unsheathing his sword. The sword shimmered slightly in the sun as it came down on her.

Hazel grunted when she blocked the attack with her firewall, later controlled the fire to circle him. The guy smirked as he jumped up into the sky and came at her from above.

Her arm blazed in blue fire and met head-on with the attack. The sudden clash blasted wind around their surroundings. Hazel didn't hesitate to use her next move. They exchanged blows and when he found a chance he grinned maliciously, "Its about time now."

He grimaced as he landed some meters away from her. He looked down on his arm and saw that the material around his arm had been burnt.

He laughed as he inquired, " Is this payback for what I did to you?"

But his laughter died, when he saw her ghastly pale face staring at his arm. He frowned as he looked down and saw that there was nothing there other than the guild mark.

The huge black scorpion mark on his arm made her freeze in her steps.

Flashes of her past passed through her consciousness... full moon night dyed in red... The time when she was covered in bloodstains from head to toe, the time when she experienced heartbreak, loss, and the time when all she could see was blood everywhere.

The guy glanced at Usui who had them trapped in his array, he tutted as he decided to end this game now. Ignoring her whose eyes had lost the shine and was staring blankly at the floor. He instantly appeared in front of her and raised his sword, to pierce her chest, "Goodbye, princess."

Hazel's eyes darkened when she felt the wind attack her face. Without considering any consequences, she unbinds her cloak and blocked his attack which was just inches away from her chest.

Surprise flashed through his eyes when he saw a dagger appear in her hands. He moved backward and cautiously observed her whole demeanor change from playful to dangerous.

But what troubled him was the dagger, why was it familiar?

Hazel's cold eyes swiped past him as she slowly started taking steps towards him, "How did you guys survive?"

Each step towards him made that night appear vividly in her mind. That nightmarish night... She even remembered giving out orders the next morning to eradicate this guild. Then how were they still alive? Did the soldiers not do their job properly?

Her eyes flared as her sight fell upon him. 'Kill...Destroy!'

The guy froze when he heard her ask ' How did you guys survive?'

His face darkened as he spat the words out in difficulty, "How do you know about that?"

He clenched his fist tight that veins showed on his arm. He patiently waited for her answer and the one he got nearly made him go berserk.

"Huh? Why wouldn't I know when I ordered them to eradicate your guilds!"

So this was the person behind his guild's destruction.. the one who was responsible for their current situation.

What he heard was that it was General Freya who orchestrated the eradication but it was the princess?

He gritted his teeth hatefully at her before focusing his mana on the sword. He dashed forward and struck her countless times but Hazel blocked the attacks easily.

Hazel...no...she was Freya now.

She was like a walking time machine who thought about nothing other than killing the person in front of her. She wanted revenge for all the pain they left her with, the guilt they left her with.

The guy was shocked to see her attack ferociously. Her attacks were getting sharper and faster. His hands trembled from the tremor that he accidentally let go of his sword.
