Magical Device Craftsman Dahlia Won't Hang Her Head Down Anymore

38. Chairman of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce

Tobias had come to his parents' Orlando Chamber of Commerce to have the material of the magic conductor picked up.

I don't see my mother in the store all the time, and strangely I feel like I have a small employee mouth count.

"Tobias."

Looking back at his unchallenged voice, his 10-year-old brother walked over.

Ireneo Orlando.

He is my own brother and Chairman of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce.

He is a little long, has black eyes just like my father's, and has corked tea hair.

Tobias looked terribly like my father, I didn't like this brother.

"Welcome home, brother. When did you get back?

"It was midnight yesterday. I need to talk to you. You got time for this?

"Oh, I'm fine"

When the two of us enter the room for the meeting, Ireneo sits in the back chair and Tobias sits across from it.

The clerk lines up two teas and leaves in a gracious manner.

As such, only two brothers were indoors.

"From the breaking of the engagement to what happened after, I heard the whole thing"

"I'm sorry. Sudden things bother your brother too"

"You and my mother, it was more laughable than angry that you'd do this while I was gone for a little while."

My brother spread the thick bundle of paperwork he had brought when he entered the room by the side of the table.

Seeing it nearby, I had a tight bear under my eyes directed at me. There are blood vessels floating in my hand that I had the paperwork on, and I am covered in fatigue that I cannot hide.

"The guild's debt was fully repaid. I kept 30 gold coins in your account, but I think this is guild credit, don't reduce it. And don't ever borrow it under the name of our Chamber of Commerce again, it'll be a credit issue for the Chamber of Commerce"

"Sorry......"

"Next, it's about registering a magic guide for a commercial guild. This one's heavier, let the guilders I'm breathing stop talking to some extent, but not even you, and you can't do much. There is also a risk that Gabriella will take it backwards. You're not going to the commercial guild for a while."

"Okay."

"Next. There are bad rumors that you have a new woman, and that you have abandoned the Dahlia you made in your marriage."

"It's..."

Tobias gets stuck with the word because it's actually intact.

"Whether it's a lie or a fact, bad reviews depend on your future and the credibility of the Chamber of Commerce."

Ireneo continues as he turns several documents. On top of a handwriting like a beating, I could read some Darya's name.

"I followed (once) around Darya to make sure, but you seem to be dating a man from the Earl of Scalfalot family. Let the rumored sparrows (gossip) turn their money around in time to talk about having a new man and making magic equipment, and I guess I didn't want to quit my job or have a tough marriage. You'll be quite calm in two months."

Rumor sparrows are people in the city who get confused and spread rumors and propaganda.

Originally, Sakura talks about the store and the quality of the product, but this time, she intends to use it.

"Darya, with the Earl's man? Is that true?

What Tobias remembered was a badly dressed man he had previously met on the terrace of a coffee shop.

Indeed, he named the last name of the Earl of Scalfalotto family.

I wondered if Darya had been dating that guy ever since, and for some reason I was uncomfortable.

"You were walking with a tall, dark-haired, golden-eyed, eye-catching beautiful man. This would match Scalfalot's youngest son. At a store near the tower, a tall black hood man said he paid for Dahlia's share and was also doing it with his luggage. Sounds a lot like you're in love there."

Brother continued as he breathed into the hot tea.

I also saw the documents with the Count's name on them how I looked them up in just two days.

"There will be no marriage to boulders in the Count's house, but whatever you say, it's a water skull farot. It'll be a good patron."

Tobias shuts up when Dahlia says she can't have a patron.

Surely that day, not her, the other man was more vocal.

"Damn, if I could, I wanted Darya for my wife. I regret being married right now."

"Brother, make such a joke"

"I'm not kidding. He is a capable magician, quick to calculate and book out of high school, has the title of Baron Daughter, and has a home called the Green Tower. After I broke up with you, I stood calmly here, caught a man from the Count's house, and set him up all the way to the Chamber of Commerce by myself. That's what happens to a woman who can do this..."

My brother takes a bitter sigh of relief with the paperwork on the Rossetti Chamber of Commerce at the top.

"Tobias, what the hell were you unhappy about?

"I have Emilia..."

To Tobias, whom I was about to say, Ireneo turns a cold gaze.

That gaze overlaps with scolded memories tough on my father one day, and words stop.

"I can't help it when it comes to women's preferences. But the muscles should have gone through. Six months after we broke our engagement, why couldn't we wait to hang out with Emilia?

"I really wanted to be right with her."

"So listen, Darya had a better man first, so I'm breaking up my engagement, if they tell me we're going to live here together tomorrow, then you've been accepted?

"It's..."

"That's what you did. Stay away from Darya again. About our chamber of commerce, if you wake up with that Count of the Water house, it'll be easy."

My brother says, pulling out the paperwork further down.

"And Emilia, but the Viscounts are bleeding, but it's not a positive connection."

"What do you mean it's not positive?

"I looked into it all the time, but Emilia is born between her younger brother in the Viscount Tarini family and the woman who worked in the mansion. The Viscount family pays a good amount of money then, leaving the notary officially cut off from the woman. When my mother sent out a letter of greeting to the Viscount, she returned that there was no such person. Tarini is a surname that is also a commoner, but Emilia's mother is just that. Maybe he used it well."

The letter, which was sandwiched in documents, did have the letters of Viscount Tarini. Did they also send back my mother's letter, bracketed together with a string of tea?

"... I'm fine with that. Emilia is Emilia."

"That's good if you think so. Apologize to the Viscount House here. However, my mother, who was trying to use this to make an edge with the Viscount, is very angry. There are rumors. Don't let Emilia come to the Chamber of Commerce anymore."

"Oh, okay"

"And my mother won't be on the Chamber of Commerce table from today. Behind or at home. If you need anything, go there."

"Why not? How you doing?

"Because in case it's possible. To the Viscount Tarini family, my mother apologizes for making a mistake based on her age by giving me something appropriate. That's the best thing I could do."

"You don't have to do anything that far..."

To Tobias, who was about to say, Ireneo turned his invisible black eyes at the bottom of it.

"Don't take the aristocracy lightly. I don't know where or how we're connected. We don't have much information on our level."

"But it won't be like that. In about one of my letters."

"One in 10,000 chances, but try to lead to a disturbance in your home, our Chamber of Commerce is over"

"It's..."

"Tobias, do you know how many employees of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce are now?

"Seventy, maybe?

"121 in the country and 37 abroad. Put in more than 200 more magicians, magicians, mechanics, publicists and cleaners contracted under this. It would lightly exceed 1000 if each family was included. It's not just our family's Orlando Chamber of Commerce. As chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, it's my job to protect this Chamber of Commerce."

With a face very similar to that of my father, Ireneo said.

Not a word to return comes out of my throat.

"Do you hear why our father and Carlo recommended you and Dahlia get married?

"My master told me that we would be able to work together and help each other live because we are the same magic conductor. My father told me to take care of Darya."

My brother exhaled the deepest and longest sigh I had ever heard and put his hands together on his desk.

My father's deep black eyes narrow against me.

"... you're not a child anymore, and this is the time. Sounds harsh but I'll tell you what. Your marriage our father forced Carlo to wish for you."

"My father, not my master? Why would you do that?

"We are common people, and without the blood muscles of the wizard, the wizard is not in the clan. When you're in trouble as a magic conductor, our clan has no one to help. If Darya's next door, we can get help, we can talk about it."

"No... but then, why the master?

My vision shakes for some reason. The tingling pain caused the temples.

"Carlo intends too. If I die, I will have one Dahlia left. I don't have any palpable relatives, and Dalya is a woman. It's easy to target if you stand out too much as a competent magic conductor. As long as I work with you, I don't stand out as a couple. Since we got married, I'll protect Darya and you at our chamber of commerce, that was supposed to happen. It was Ada that my father didn't tell my mother exactly."

"I didn't ask that!

Someone's voice sounds like a scream.

Noisy in the back of my ear is a bloody stream like a strong wave. I have a terrible breath.

"Then I'm like, 'Turned' for Darya, the magician!

"In a way, yes. But Carlo was complimenting you on your seriousness. Even though I was born a merchant, I cared about you, who became a magic conductor just because of your efforts. If you keep trying, Tobias will be a better magician than me. You and Darya, they want us to live together as neighboring magicians, not up or down."

"Why didn't you say a word to me... my father, my master...!

My black eyes rocked like I was in just a little trouble.

"If I told you, you wouldn't have married Darya willingly, would you?

Oddly enough, I was convinced.

If I had known, I would have absolutely said no.

I need the help of my family to work as a magic conductor.

He said he was sorry for being such a jerk to Dahlia.

And I remembered.

Carlo always told me to laugh calmly.

The presence or absence of registered demon conductors is not a good or bad job for demon conductors.

Even one inexpensive magic guide, for those who use it, says it's an important job to make it through properly.

Dahlia has different characteristics as Dahlia, Tobias as Tobias, and Magic Instructor.

Darya's job is creative, switchable, and prototypical.

Tobias' job is polite, no loopholes, and safe for those who use it.

That's both very important.

So as a magic conductor, I told you to make up for it and grow up.

The praised words were forgotten at some point, and even degraded the part of his brother that he was inferior to Darya.

I had to make something new. I left it empty, I couldn't see the production at hand, and someday, I didn't even know how fun it was to make magic guides.

Since the ascetics, I had tried Darya many times with my own jealousy and selfishness during my engagement.

And I took Emilia's hand that I could like, not her that you couldn't like.

I just noticed an overlapping mistake, and it's all slow.

All I can do now is endure this thought that's about to bark from the back of my throat, like it folds us in.

"I disagreed with my father. My father and I are merchants, but you and Darya are magicians, and that's not the plan. But Carlo broke in return for his father, who was feeling unwell. I couldn't stop him, either. So let's shoulder our responsibility together for reneging on our promise."

Tobias finally realized that Ireneo gave him a white handkerchief and he was blurring and crying.

Hold your face with a handkerchief and try to somehow fix the breath you can cut with pity.

But that never subsides.

"... I won't let anyone come here for a while. You should get out of the room when you calm down. Once we have your thoughts together, we'll discuss the future again."

A voice of my brother walking out of the room fell on his back.

That was terrible, resembling my father.
