"Little Princess was with me, do you think I would let any paparazzi even get a whiff of the situation?" De Xi asked coldly.

De Xiu laughed awkwardly as she missed the crucial point of the topic, which was Natalia. None of the kids were yet revealed to the media and won't until they are in their mid-teens.

Media and paparazzi were scary people who could find even the most minute information. Though the six families had more than enough power to handle them, it was unnecessary trouble.

"Why is Sword Dance good for her body, is there..." De Xing asked hesitantly as nothing else mattered for him.

The Mu Family and George held their breathes, as they knew that De Xing successfully touched the taboo topic of De Xi.

Mu Cong silently coughed to gain De Xing's attention and stop him from speaking any further on the topic, any further and they were afraid a typhoon might blow away the house.

De Xing could clearly sense the tension rise in the air, as the temperature dropped a few degrees.

Lu Bai looked at De Xi silently, he could sense the guilty and hesitating feelings passing through De Xi's eyes, fleetingly.

Lu Bai wordlessly looked at his son, who was standing in between him and his wife. The latter immediately understood what his father meant and cleared his throat slightly.

"Mummy, shall we go ahead with our plan?" Lu Chao asked warmly and innocently as if he sensed nothing strange in the atmosphere.

De Xi immediately snapped out of her train of thoughts and looked down towards her son with a warm smile and nodded.

"What plan?" Lu Kang immediately looked towards his Aunt and Cousin excitedly.

"It is not for you." Lu Chao deadpanned and mercilessly cut off Lu Kang without a second thought.

De Xi looked at her son with amusement and then towards Lu Kang, who now looked pitiful like an inflated balloon.

"Little Treasure, don't be like that to your little brother. Little Pie, I made plans with Little Treasure today."

"How about this tomorrow I'll bring you all to Germany by road, there is an amazing theme park, how does it sound?" De Xi asked with a warm, hesitant smile.

"Hurray!! Aunt Xi is still the best." All the kids immediately started cheering in joy and anticipation.

"My sweet sister, you will not forget this little cutie pie of yours right?" De Xiu immediately started buŧŧering up her older sister to let her tag along as well.

"Stop buŧŧering me, all of us will go." De Xi scoffed in annoyance, but the obvious smile on her face told otherwise.

"From when did Sister started liking people who brown-nose her?" De Xing asked in bewilderment, which matched the expression of his parents.

"Who doesn't like some compliments?" Chang Mei said as she winked towards De Xi, who glared at her playfully.

"I guess people's tastes get weirder with progressing age, isn't it Xiao Xi?" Su Yang said as he threw the question towards his wife, Nan Xi.

The latter smiled at him brightly and then punched him on the shoulder with a frosty glare, which made Su Yang wince in pain and fear.

"Okay now, don't waste their time here. Chao'er go with your mother and enjoy your day." Mother Lu said with a warm and adoring smile.

Lu Chao nodded as he smiled towards his mother in anticipation and excitement. Lu Bai touched his nose helplessly as he coughed to get their attention.

"You'll need some help, so I'll go as well." Lu Bai declared instead of asking them, as he knew that if he asked they would deny him for sure.

"Your skin has grown thicker than before." De Xi said as she eyes him with displeasure.

Everyone was shocked by De Xi's response. It was not her words, but her response itself.

Everyone thought she would not acknowledge his presence and treat him as air, but reality proved them otherwise.

All the elders looked towards Lu Bai in admiration as he somehow managed to get back De Xi's attention within a day's time.

De Xi acted as if she did not notice the shocked and bewildered expressions on the faces of her family members and walked towards the kitchen without further words.

Lu Chao followed his mother like a small tail, followed by Lu Bai, who was grinning like a wife slave happily walking behind his wife.

The family of three reached the kitchen where Head Butler Melan and Head Chef Ro came out in confusion, as they could not guess why their mistress was here with her family.

"Aunt Melan, please take out the fresh coco and all the ingredients which I ordered the other day. Aunt Ro, I'll borrow your kitchen for the evening, I'll return it right in time for you to prepare the dinner." De Xi said calmly with a neutral expression.

"Young Miss, do you need my ȧssistance?" Head Chef Ro asked with a warm smile.

"Your 'Madam' has me to ȧssist her, Aunt Ro." Lu Bai said calmly with a smug smile playing on his lips.

Head Butler Melan and Head Chef Ro bowed their heads with a warm and helpless smile on their faces, as they clearly caught the word 'Madam' in Lu Bai's words.

It was not the first time they witnessed this man's possessiveness towards their Young Miss, yet it amused them every time they witness it.

Lu Chao on the other hand could not help but roll his eyes in annoyance at how desperate his father was to tell everyone that his mother was still a married woman.

De Xi looked towards Lu Bai silently but did not rebuke him, it was as clear as the day that she was indulging Lu Bai to do and say whatever he wanted which was a surprise to the two old helpers who knew her since De Xi's childhood days.

"Give me a few minutes, Young Madam, I'll have the kitchen staff quickly clean up and leave.." Head Chef Ro said with a warm smile.
