Chapter 4 - TEASING...

"You'd need a common sense for that, which you are lacking without any doubt. I really don't understand this, if common sense is common, why are you without it?" Mu Cong said as he sighed helplessly.

Mu Chang looked at Mu Cong in disbelief. He turned towards De Xi for help, but the latter shrugged simply and ignored the siblings like they were thin air.

Mu Chang looked at the two in exasperation, but before he could object or protest the Head Butler entered the living room.

"Young Miss, First Young Master, and Second Young Master, the breakfast is served." the Head Butler Melan said respectfully as she bowed lightly.

"Let's go for breakfast." De Xi said as she closed the document and stood up, as she nodded towards the Head Butler.

"Where is Little Princess, is she still sleeping?" Mu Chang asked, looking around and then towards the Head Butler.

"Master and Madam came in an hour before and took Little Young Miss out to the sea." the Head Butler said in a respectful tone.

"Why are they suddenly going to the sea out of blue?" Mu Cong asked as he looked at De Xi and then at the Head Butler.

"They promised Little Princess some time ago and decided to go today because they will get busy with your marriage later." De Xi said nonchalantly as she walked towards the dining area, without looking at Mu Chang, whose jaw dropped to the floor in shock and disbelief.

"What do you mean by... did you by any chance already... tell them?" Mu Chang asked doubtfully as he looked at De Xi anxiously.

"You ȧssured me yesterday, so I asked them to come over today and I told them this morning." De Xi said as she sat down casually.

"Lina you are faster than I thought you will be." Mu Cong said as he smirked towards Mu Chang and then chuckled together with De Xi.

"Do I look like someone to laze around?" De Xi asked as she looked at Mu Cong and then at Mu Chang in amusement.

"Still... I did not expect you to execute it so quickly, we talked just last night about it, I thought you would talk about it on the weekend, the earliest I thought was tonight. When did you ask them to come over when did you talk... nothing makes sense?" Mu Chang asked in frustration.

"I messaged them last night, to come over in the morning and they came over earlier than I expected them to and when I told them they were pretty surprised but not shocked." De Xi started calmly.

"Little Princess came down right at the moment and they decided to bring her out so that they can also clear their head and think things through. " De Xi said as she shrugged casually.

"Looks like Mother and Father already expected this." Mu Cong looked at Mu Chang in a teasing manner.

"Let's have breakfast first, Chang, take your seat, don't keep food waiting. After breakfast, we will talk about the rest." De Xi said calmly as she motioned the Head Butler to serve the breakfast.

"Okay" Mu Chang agreed immediately as he smiled like a fool.

"Look at him smiling like a fool." Mu Cong said as he smirked at his brother.

"Why are you so inclined on teasing him?" De Xi leaned back to let the maid turnover her plate and serve her breakfast.

"That is what he did during my marriage." Mu Cong said as he scoffed in displeasure at the memory.

De Xi chuckled but chose to not comment on it as she witnessed it firsthand and could not bring herself to justify it.

After breakfast, the trio went to their respective rooms to get dressed for the day up ahead. After a few minutes, Mu Cong and De Xi descended the stairs one after another and entered the living room.

De Xi was dressed in a tailored champagne business suit, pairing it with the same shade stilettos, white pearl tops, and a white custom-made vintage collection wristwatch.

Mu Cong on the other hand was dressed in a tailored black business suit, pairing it with low sole leather shoes and a limited edition black Rolex watch.

These two settled in the living room and looked at each other in helplessness. As they simultaneously checked their watches.

"Eva, why did you inform the elders so soon? I thought you will talk to Biyu first and then talk about this marriage to the elders." Mu Cong suddenly asked De Xi as he looked at her seriously.

"They are already mȧturė enough to decide about their marriage. And I felt that if Elders talked about this, it would be better." De Xi looked at him calmly, her expression casual.

"Why? I believe you are more fit than the Elders, these two would be more open and comfortable with you." Mu Cong asked as he looked at De Xi in confusion.

"I have no right to talk about marriage." De Xi said with a warm smile, but a slight hint of sorrow flashed in her eyes momentarily.

"Eva..." Mu Cong wanted to say something but was stopped by De Xi.

"Justify it however you want, we know the truth in our hearts." De Xi said calmly, her voice devoid of any emotions.

Mu Cong frowned but before he could say something, sounds of hurried footsteps came from the steps.

Finally, Mu Chang showed up, wearing a denim jean, and paired them with a white shirt and a black blazer with leather shoes, which was matched with a custom-made Rolex watch.

"Finally, here you are. We almost thought that you were planning to come down after your marriage reception is over." Mu Cong commented sarcastically in exasperation.

"I had to take time to get ready, I'm meeting up with Biyu today." Mu Chang responded with a smug expression and smirked when Mu Cong scoffed in annoyance.

"You were, not anymore.." a stern voice came from the entrance of the mansion startling the trio inside the living room.
