De Xi looked at the three men with a slightly helpless smile, as she finished the last sip in her glass and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Mu Cong asked lightly, alcohol already taking over his system.

That was when she realized the other two were also slightly tipsy from the wine they drank that night and once again sighed softly.

"To have the servants take everyone back to their rooms, if they sleep here they will get sore backs tomorrow morning. You three are also drunk, go back to your rooms." De Xi said lightly in a soft tone.

"I'll take Ah Mei back to our room by myself, no need for servants." Li Chen also stood up and walked towards his wife.

"I will also take back my Xiao Mei by myself." Mu Cong also said calmly and walked towards his wife, who was already deeply asleep.

De Xi nodded and had the servants take others back, while Lu Bai stayed behind and waited for De Xi to go back upstairs together.

"Thinking about the past, you always had a knack for treating people badly back then." Lu Bai said with an obvious smile, making his statement look like delight rather than a complaint.

They ascended the stairs slowly, walking side by side, with Lu Bai beside the railing, to support himself if he lost his balance.

"I don't treat people badly, I treat them accordingly." De Xi said calmly as she looked ahead expressionlessly.

"Do you have a villain fetish?" Lu Bai asked in amusement.

"What?" De Xi asked in bewilderment and disbelief.

"You always love to make a villain out of yourself even when you are clearly doing them good." Lu Bai said with a helpless sigh, regrets and guilt painting his eyes with pain.

De Xi stayed silent instead she left him behind and hurried back to her room, not wanting to continue anymore.

***** NEXT DAY *****

Like no other day, the dining area was full of chitter-chatter during the breakfast. The usually silent and peaceful house was full of laughter.

De Xi entered the dining room dressed in peach full-sleeves, sweetheart neck jumpsuit and her jet black hair pulled into a loose bun, with few stray strands framing her face.

She looked at the dining table, which was full for the first time in years, and an affectionate smile bloomed on her face.

"Good Morning sėxy lady!" Natalia was the first one to notice De Xi, who entered the dining room and greeted her with a playful wink.

"Good Morning, Little Princess. Did you sleep well?" De Xi said in a calm and warm tone unaffected by her flirty greeting.

"Yes, Mummy. I and Chao-ge chatted for a while before going to sleep." Natalia said with a warm smile as she looked towards Lu Chao.

"Chao-ge?" De Xi asked in amusement and surprise, to which Natalia nodded her head with a wide grin.

De Xi chuckled and walked to her seat as she quickly pecked all the kids on their foreheads before taking her seat on the head of the table.

The servants quickly served De Xi her breakfast, which was Americano and a medium-size bowl of broccoli.

"Xixi your eating habits have still not changed." Nan Xi said as she looked at the cup of black liquid and green veggie bowl with contempt.

"That is also why she looks the same as before, unlike you." Su Yang said as he smirked teasingly towards his wife.

"Su Yang, are you saying that I have grown old? How dare you? Did you look at yourself in the mirror this morning? You are nothing but a chubby man in his late thirties." Nan Xi said as she glared daggers at her husband.

"You two grow up. You both already have a son old enough to have a girlfriend." George said as he chuckled in amusement.

Su Chen, who was listening to the conversation, choked on his milkshake and started coughing vigorously.

"Chen, why are you choking? By any chance did I hit the bullseye?" George started teasing the poor boy who was already red from embarrassment.

"U-Uncle George, I'm just eleven years old, what girlfriend are you talking about?" Su Chen was beyond flustered.

"Oh, my! Boy! Even I was eleven at some time, I know how your brain works." George was not ready to let Su Chen off-hook anytime soon.

"George, stop teasing him. Do you think everyone is like you? My kids are very clear about their goals and are not Casanovas like you." De Xi said calmly but there was a warning edge to her tone.

"Mumma Bear alert!" George said as he quickly zipped his mouth and continued eating his breakfast.

"James, do you have a girlfriend or someone you like?" George suddenly turned towards his son.

The latter was not very shocked, as he is already used to his father's antics and sudden mood swings.

"Dad, they are troublesome," James said calmly, without any change in reaction.

"What do you mean by troublesome?" George asked in frustration and eyes full of disbelief.

"The literal meaning," James said in the same tone, not the least bit bothered by the daggers his father was shooting his way.

"George are you that free, that you are now even troubling these little ones." Mu Chang asked in disbelief as he looked at the boys pitifully.

"Ahh... you boys are no fun. Look how my pretty little angels answer me. Nova, are you still dating the same guy we met last time?" George asked with interest painted in his eyes.

"Which one are you talking about, Uncle George?" Nova asked deep in thoughts.

"How many boyfriends do you change on an average?" Lu Kang asked in shock and disbelief.

"Me? I changed at least fifteen already. None of them were fun." Nova said as she sighed regretfully and dramatically.

"It is twenty-two." Natalia corrected Nova calmly as if it was an everyday occurrence.

"Natalia, what about you?" George asked enthusiastically.
