The person who was being mocked and ignored looked at the two daring people with a sly smirk and descended the stairs gracefully.

"Like father, like daughter. Very bad at knowing what is good for them." De Xi said with a warm smile but coupled with her chilly eyes, the smile just added a more creepy feeling to everyone.

"Trying to insult us, are we Mummy?" Natalia asked sweetly not in the least bit affected.

"I'm not insulting you, I'm describing you." De Xi said in a carefree manner, before leaving the living room without another word.

"She still has a way of dealing with people, doesn't she? How come all these passing years never affected her?" Feng Chuan looked in the direction De Xi left and sighed in helplessness.

"Let's say, she never let the years affect her." Mu Cong said as he chuckled softly.

"True." Li Chen said as he looked towards the door from where De Xi left.

Outside the mansion, Cheng Jiu was already waiting for De Xi to come out. As soon as she saw De Xi's silhouette appear at the entrance, she got out of the car and opened the door for her President.

"Good Morning, President." Cheng Jiu greeted De Xi with a professional and respectful nod.

"Good Morning." De Xi greeted back with a curt nod and got inside the car, as Cheng Jiu closed the door behind her.

As soon as Cheng Jiu got into the co-pilot seat, the car started and speed off towards the De Group's headquarters in Europe.

Inside President's Office...

On the top floor of the De Group's Main building, De Xi was seated behind her black marble table, with a strong and imposing aura.

The pressure inside the room was very depressing, two men and a woman were standing, their backs covered in a cold sweat as they faced the devil.

"Did you forget your brain in your mother's wȯmb? Cause I'm pretty sure you did." De Xi hissed coldly as she shut closed the file in front of her.

"I tried but the..." one of the two men tried to explain but was stopped by De Xi.

"As a Director of PR of De Group, you are expected to succeed on the first strike, not standing her giving me excuses like school kids." De Xi said coldly as she looked at the PR Director.

"President, I think announcing about the acquisition would be better at this point now." the other man spoke in a slightly confident tone.

De Xi looked at him with a small smile, which gave him more confidence to speak even more boldly.

"Having you as my Finance Director have I ever told you how much I appreciate you?" De Xi asked with a faint smile.

"President, there is no need..." the Director of Finance said as he tried to buŧŧer up the President.

"Did I?" De Xi pressed sharply.

"No" the Finance Director answered in a slightly shocked tone.

"Oh good, cause I never did. So it would be better for you to keep your advice to yourself." De Xi said sharply as she looked at the Director of Finance coldly.

"President, the plan for acquisition was completed on emergency basis, please take a look, to see if there anything to be changed." the woman spoke calmly, though a little stiff, she hid it well.

De Xi looked at her for a moment and looked at the file she mentioned, after flipping through the first fewpages she went to the last page and a frown appeared on De Xi's face.

"Why is the budget not mentioned?" De Xi asked coldly, clearly annoyed but the lack of important details.

"The Finance department, was dealing with other projects and did not have time for to sort out the budget for this. I have the rough estimation done with me." the Director of Planning Department said as she handed the folder she was holding.

"Intelligence must be your worst nightmare." De Xi said as she looked at Finance Director sharply, if looks could kill he would have died a thousand times now.

"N-No President, Director Allen, there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding, I never refused to deal with this first, I will look into it and give you a proper explanation President and the budget will be done by the end of the day." the Finance Director said as he broke out in cold sweat.

"It better be done." De Xi said sternly in a chilly tone as she turned towards the PR Director who stiffened under her gaze.

"Deal with the rumors quickly, when I sign this deal I don't want any of those rumors going around." De Xi ordered coldly before looking towards Director of Planning.

"I'll look through the plan and let you know if there are any changes required." De Xi said emotionlessly.

She then waved her hand and dismissed the three inside her office, making them sigh in relief inside their hearts.

As soon as the large mahogany doors closed, the three directors slumped and leaned on the walls weakly.

"Everytime I go in there, I feel like few years are shaved off from my life span." the PR Director said weakly.

"I'm sorry for being honest back there, before her I'm unable to speak anything but the truth." Director Allen of Planning Department said apologetically as she looked towards the Finance Director.

"No need to be sorry, she is just that scary and I really meant about the misunderstanding, I'll look into it." Director of Finance said in an understanding tone, not angry in the slightest bit.

"If you are going to bad mouth about the President, you should not do it outside her office." an amused voice came from the Executive Secretary's cabin making the three directors scared out of their wits.

"Chill it is not the Demoness's Beast.." a young man in his late twenties emerged from the cabin with an ȧssuring smile.
