Lucky Star

Chapter 20 - LET GO....

After a brief moment, Mu Chang came back from the kitchen and briefly paused to look at the De Xi who had already dozed, before continuing his way out of the mansion.

After an hour...

The round trip to the airport and back to De Mansion would take up around half an hour but the night-time rush doubled up the time taken.

The large gates of the De mansion opened and three sleek black Maybachs followed by a matte black limousine entered, with the gates closing behind it.

The first Maybach parked in front of the wide double-door entrance of the mansion.

Mu Cong, followed by an older version of Lu Bai, Li Chen, and Li Yuchen from the pictures disembarked.

A valet chauffeur bowed towards Mu Cong and quickly drove away from the car, so the next car could be parked.

From the next Maybach disembarked, Mu Chang, De Xing, Su Yang, and Lu Feng, followed by George, Feng Chuan, and Fang Gang a.k.a Gabriel from the third Maybach, all the older version of the picture.

All the ladies deboarded the limousine one after the other. All the visitors taking in their surroundings and grandeur of De Mansion with surprise and disbelief.

"With how busy Sister is, how does she still have the energy to maintain this big household?" De Xiu asked as she gaped at the large towering mansion in front of them.

"Given how much time Lina spends on eating and sleeping, she manages it quite beautifully." Mu Chang said with a scoff.

"Lina?" Li Yuchen asked in confusion.

"Xixi goes by Evelina here and everywhere except China I guess, so I call her Lina, and others, including Brother, call her Eva." Mu Chang explained as clearly as possible.

"Let's go in, shall we? I'm not ready to freeze to death already." George said as he shivered lightly as an autumn wind hit him.

Others also snapped out of their surprise, as they felt the chilly wind as well, shivering lightly.

After quickly making their way through the warm veranda, everyone was already back to their comfort warmth.

They crossed the glass wall and entered the living room to find a grey ball rolled up on the corner of the sofa at the other end of the living room.

"I asked her to rest in her room, stubborn woman." Mu Cong mumbled softly as he gritted his teeth.

"If she listened to you, she won't be Eva anymore," George mumbled softly as well, with an amused smile on his face.

"I'll wake her up?" Su Yang asked but already walked towards her before he received an answer.

Even before his hand touched the warm woolen blanket a shrill sound resounded through the living room or even the entire mansion.

"Aaaaahhhhhh! Woman, let go! Let go!" Su Yang jumped up and down in pain, with his hand twisted at an odd angle behind his back with De Xi glaring menacingly at him.

"Is your fever recurring?" George asked worriedly as he quickly made his way to her and checked her temperature.

"Before you start nagging at my slightly high temperature it was this blanket and heater, not my fever, I just have a slight headache due to this clown over here." De Xi said calmly as she pointed towards Su Yang who was still jumping slightly in pain.

"Excuses" George scoffed but did not say anything further.

"You have not changed even in the slightest." Chang Mei, Li Chen's wife said with a broad grin, as she walked towards De Xi with wide arms and enveloped her in a warm hug.

"If I changed like everyone and everything, I won't be De Xi." De Xi said with a playful smirk, which turned into a warm smile as she looked at everyone.

Her smile froze momentarily when her hazel eyes clashed with a pair of deep black orbs, similar to Natalia's.

She quickly regained her smile and composure as she smiled at the rest.

"It is good to see you all after so long." De Xi said with a soft warm smile.

She then looked behind as if searching for something or someone.

"If you are looking for those little devils, then they are not with us. They have their last exam before their autumn break, they will come once they are done." Xi Biyu, Li Yuchen's wife answered with a warm and understanding smile.

"My Sister is ignoring me!" De Xiu said as she faked her tears.

"Plus one, should I say." De Xing said as he looked towards De Xi accusingly.

"As if ignoring you two is even possible," De Xi said as she scoffed and then smiled warmly at them, as she opened her arms wide inviting them for a warm hug.

De Xing and De Xiu grinned widely as they speed-walked towards De Xi and almost toppled her to the ground with their sudden momentum.

"If your little meet and greet session is over, shall I take a good look at my long-lost soul sister?" Nan Xi asked as she grinned at De Xi.

"Look all you want. Who is covering your eyes?" Lu Meng said casually and shrugged when Nan Xi glared at her.

"Little one, do you still remember this poor friend of yours?" Nan Xi asked dramatically as she clung to De Xi.

"Poor my a**." De Xi said which earned another dramatic gasp from Nan Xi.

"How can you curse at me first thing we meet? Don't you love me anymore? Do you hate me now?" Nan Xi asked in exasperation as made a mountain out of a rat hole.

"What if I hate you? And what if I love you? Anyways you are going to cling to me, does it matter?" De Xi asked in annoyance.

"Love me or hate me, either way, I'm on your mind. That is all it matters.." Nan Xi said as she stubbornly clung to De Xi.
