Love is a Sweet Poison

Gabriel woke up before Amelia but held her in his arms. "Seeing her sleeping is a blessing and there is no one that I would rather see in my arms than her. Every day this is how I want to wake up. Amelia really is my Angel. I will protect her, even if it is against my family. There is no way I could live my life without her.' He kissed the top of her nose and looked into her eyes.

Amelia felt the kiss on her nose and slowly opened her eyes. "Good morning, Dear. Did you rest well?" She snuggled her face into his chest and happily sighed. 

"I would like to sleep like that every night. Holding you in my arms is a guilty pleasure of mine now. There is nothing that I would rather do. How was your sleep? How are you feeling?" Gabriel pulls her closer and hugs her tightly but not enough to hurt her.

"My sleep was amazing. You keep filling my thoughts with children, and then I dream about them." She blushes and buried her face into his chest to avoid looking up at him. "As for how I feel… I just woke up so slightly sleepy." Amelia finally looks up, and she gets lost in his dark brown eyes. 

Gabriel chuckles and moves her hair out of her eyes. Placing his hands on her cheek he leans down and places a caste kiss on her lips. "As long as you are not suffering that is all I need to hear. I am happy that you are just a little tired. Shall we get up and get ready to go out?" 

"What exactly are we doing? I do not want to wear the wrong clothing." Amelia slowly sits up and looks happily at Gabriel. She wakes up a little more and the light blush from his kiss was seen on her face. 

"You are beautiful. We are going to be getting dirty, so it would be best to wear something that could get dirt on it. I also made sure that you would have comfortable boots to wear. I do not want you to be uncomfortable. If you need a rest please just let me know and do not suffer in silence, okay?" Gabriel sat up and pushed her hair behind her ear.

Amelia looked at Gabriel's serious expression. "I-I will let you know if I need a break. I promise that I will not push myself." Looking him in the eyes as she said this caused Gabriel's expression to soften. She got up 'and went to the yukatas that she brought and pulled out a faded pale blue yukata that had koi fish on the design. "This is one that I packed just in case. As you did not really tell me what we would be doing I thought that I should pack at least one of two old yukatas." 

"That one is still lovely, but I can see why it is one of your older ones. If you love that design we can buy you another one." Gabriel got up and went and picked up the yukata that he would be wearing for the day. He looked at her smiling and then got dressed. He faced away from her. Putting on the yukata.

Gabriel walked up behind her and held the yukata open. "You can watch me all that you want. I am yours and you are mine. Anytime that you need and or want something I will make sure that you get it. I paid for this trip so that we could have fun and relax. I also..." Blushing Gabriel looked away for a moment, "I wanted you to see where I went to collect the herbs for your medicine." 

Looking up at him sharply she could see the embarrassment clearly on his face. "You are the sweetest man alive. I am glad that you are mine, Gabriel. I look forward to our adventure together. You are right that is something that I would love to do." Amelia placed her arms in the yukata, and she tied it up. "Thank you." 

Gabriel took a small step back, "but of course. That is what Subaru was chatting about yesterday. We had ironed out all the details before you came here. I wanted to make sure that everything is perfect. Subaru did warn me that the rainy season is going to be starting again, so we will have to bring an umbrella." 

Amelia stood on her tip toes and kissed his cheek. "I do not mind a little rain. She walked over to her medication. She took a dose and smiled. As that was a knock at the door. "Come in." 

Mari slides the door open and bows. "I brought you two a lighter breakfast today. I thought that you would want to eat it before you two head out today." She brought the two trays in the room and cleaned up the trays from last night. "I also have placed an umbrella at the door for your use." 

"Thank you, Mari. You have done a fantastic job and I appreciate that you took the time to get all this done for us. We will be getting lunch and dinner from Boss. I was thinking we would out over there tonight, so you do not need to worry about making us food… that is so long as it does not start pouring." Gabriel smiled and walked to the table, and he gently guided Amelia to the table with him. 

"If you get caught in the rain I will make sure that I have soup on the go. Please enjoy the meal and I will come into the room to clean up and make sure that everything is ready for your return." Mari bowed and left the room.

Amelia sat down and looked at the spread of food. "Mari does a lovely job of taking care of this place. I worry that she will not let you pay for anything. Will she not lose money by feeding us all the time?" 

"I paid a lump sum so that is not an issue. She tried to refuse it, but I told her that if she did not take that money that I would feel uncomfortable. I know that I saved Tomomi, and she gave us a place to stay when we first go t here but that does not mean I should not pay for the services. Don't worry I will not let her not take the money. Her Husband made sure to take the money, and then they used the money to help fix parts of the inn." Gabriel touched Amelia's cheek. "Does that ease your mind, Angel?"

"Yes, thank you. I was worried because she said that this room is forever yours. I can understand why she would do that. If you are paying then I see no issue. I would like to come back here later on." Amelia lets out the breath that she held, and it turned into a sigh. "Itadakimasu." She picks up her chopsticks and starts to eat the food in front of her.

Gabriel smiled and picked up his chopsticks. "Itadakimasu." He ate the food happily and then started to feed Amelia. "You really love egg rolls." He was holding it out for her to eat.

"It's so tasty and The fluffy sweet egg roll is amazing, and I would love to eat it as often as I can." Amelia ate the piece Gabriel was holding out to her, and she blushed. She tried to feed him her egg roll and Gabriel shook his head no. 

"I will not steal your egg rolls. Go ahead and eat yours and I will steal other things from you. I know that you do not eat a lot still." Gabriel picked up an edamame and ate it. 

Amelia beamed happily and drank the soup that was on her tray and then ate all of her egg rolls. She took a bite of the fish and placed the chopsticks down and picked up her teacup. She drank the tea and then sat back "Gochisousama."

Gabriel started to eat what was left on her tray and then placed the chopsticks down. "Gochisousama, that was delicious. See there is nothing to worry about I ate your food and mine. I am fulfilled when you get what you want." 

Getting up Amelia blushed and went to the bathroom. She came out and looked at Gabriel as he stared at her with such an intensity. "You are beautiful and I love you." He finally got up and placed a coat over her shoulders. "We will leave in a moment." He went into the bathroom.

Pulling the coat closed. Amelia blushed as he walked away from her. 'When did he get me a coat?' She blushed and put her arms through the sleeves and waited for him to come out.
