Los Angeles Detective

Chapter 71: arrest

  Chapter 71 Arrest

At twelve o'clock in the evening, the two changed shifts.

  David rests.

Luke looked out the window, it was pitch black, and the manor was so large that it was difficult for someone to sneak in.

I don't know how long it has passed, and I heard a faint cry.

   "Woooooooooooo..."

The crying is very depressing, high and low, like a woman, and like a child.

The sense of desolation was exactly the same as the sound he heard in the cave.

Luke looked out the window at the manor. It was pitch black everywhere, and he couldn't see anything unusual, so he began to check the guns.

David didn't know whether he heard the sound of the pistol being loaded or was awakened by the sound of crying. He rubbed his face with his hands, got out of the car, changed into equipment in the trunk, and threw a set of body armor to Luke.

Luke put on the bullet-proof vest. Although he has a bullet-proof card, that card is for life-saving at critical moments. Who knows if he can draw it next time?

The two packed up properly, holding a strong flashlight in their left hand and a gun in their right, and marched towards the manor from left to right, but they did not turn on the strong flashlight for the time being.

Walking to the wall, Luke looked into the manor. The weeds in the manor were so lush that it was difficult for a person lying on the ground to notice, not to mention that there was a hole in the ground, and the other party might sneak into the hole at any time.

Since they knew that the suspect might be near the cave, Luke and the two simply turned off the lights, climbed over the stone wall, and crawled towards the cave quietly.

Sure enough, the further we went, the louder the crying sound.

David in front suddenly waved his hand to signal Luke to stop, as if he had discovered something.

Afterwards, David suddenly turned on the bright flashlight.

"Ah!" Someone screamed in the distance.

Luke got up and saw a figure illuminated by a strong flashlight, with a loudspeaker in his hand.

The other party has been dazzled, temporarily unable to see anything, Luke also turned on the bright flashlight, and the cat ran forward with his back bent.

"lapd, lie on the ground, put your head in your hands, don't move!"

David also rushed up and irradiated the surrounding area with a strong flashlight to see if there were others.

Luke rushed up, subdued the man holding the megaphone, and handcuffed his hands from behind.

This is a middle-aged man who looks to be in his fifties. He is tall, a little thin, and his hair is carefully groomed.

Luke demanded, "Do you have any accomplices?"

"No, I'm not a bad person."

"Who are you?"

"Hans Miller. This is my home, and I am the owner of the manor."

   "Are you Anna's husband?"

The man was a little surprised, "Yes, you know my wife?"

Luke looked at the man's appearance. He had seen a photo of Hans Miller, but that photo was from twenty years ago. After years of baptism, he has aged a lot, but his facial features have not changed. It is indeed Hans Miller. S. Miller himself.

"what are you doing here?"

"I miss my wife and kids, check back."

Luke kicked the loudspeaker next to him, "This is how you see them. There have been rumors of ghosts in the manor. You must have made it."

Hans Miller showed a stubborn look, "I didn't hurt anyone."

"If you don't tell me, we will take you back to the police station. When the matter is clarified, see if the neighbors will sue you?"

"No, let me tell you." Hans Miller sighed, "Twenty years ago, something happened to my business, and I was busy working all day, which caused problems in my relationship with my wife.

Later, my wife and children disappeared, and they took away the belongings of the family, cash, jewelry, oil paintings...

My sky was falling, and I had no intention of doing business, and was completely bankrupt.

My manor, our home...was also taken away by the bank.

Here are the memories of our family, and I always look forward to the family coming back….

Even for them, I want to keep this manor.

In order to avoid the manor being auctioned off, I used this method. "

David put away his gun, "I can understand your feelings, but this is not a glorious means."

"I know, I have been working hard, I want to earn money to redeem this manor from the bank, I have never given up, never..." Hans finished speaking, as if thinking of something,

"Why are you here? Did someone call the police?"

"No, we are here to investigate the case of your wife and children. We have also tried to contact you, but you have changed your mobile phone number." Luke helped him open the handcuffs.

"In order to be able to find my wife and children, I kept that mobile phone number for ten years, but the greater my expectations and the greater my disappointment over the past ten years... the creditors will press for debts every day.

I got severe depression, and the doctor advised me to change my phone number.

Why are you investigating my wife’s case again? Didn’t the police give up on the investigation? I wouldn't be utterly disappointed if it wasn't for all these years of not having a clue.

Twenty years, a full twenty years.

Do you know how I have lived these twenty years? "

"We are from the Los Angeles City Police Department. We just discovered new clues to the case two days ago. The City Bureau decided to restart the investigation of the 'Tellson Manor Disappearance Case'. We are looking for you and hope that you can help solve the case."

"What new clues have you found, no one is more familiar with this case than me."

Luke pondered for a moment, "We found the red Ford Focus... and two dead bodies."

"What? My wife and child are dead? Is that what you mean?"

"We just found two dead bodies in the car, and the DNA results haven't come out yet."

"nonono, no, definitely not, it's not two people, it's three people, you got it wrong, it's not their bodies, I don't believe it...it won't.

I've been waiting for so many years..." Hans couldn't help crying.

Luke didn't stop him, just cry as much as you want, he doesn't know how to persuade?

Crying out might be all right.

"Woooo..." Hans burst into tears, more horribly than the cry from the loudspeaker just now.

It is estimated that tomorrow someone will shout that the manor is haunted.

After a long time, Hans stopped crying, "Where is it? Where are the corpses, I want to see them, I need to see them now..."

   "Los Angeles Police Department."

"You just said that there are two corpses? Whose corpses are they?"

"A woman in her thirties, and a boy in her teens. They died twenty years ago."

   "Where's my daughter? Where's Lily? Where's she?"

"It's not clear yet. We are here this time to investigate the case clearly, collect more clues, and strive to catch the murderer as soon as possible and find your daughter."

"Are you sure my daughter is still alive?"

"cannot."

"Is there any characteristic in your daughter?"

"I have a photo of her when she was a child, and I always carry it with me." Hans took out the leather bag from his pocket, and handed a photo in it to Luke.

is a group photo of a family of four.

Luke didn't take the photo, took a photo, and returned the photo to Hans.

"Thank you." Hans took the photo, stroked it gently with his hand, and carefully put it back into the purse.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Of course, I want you to identify a few people." Luke took out Cole's sketch and photo, "Do you know him?"

"He..." Hans looked at it for a while, with an angry look on his face, "I know the driver Cole, who turned into ashes, and he killed my wife and child, that's him."

"Don't get excited, we are already looking for him."

Luke took out the photos of Tony and Lawn again. Hans carefully identified them, but he didn't know them.

Luke asked, "Your family's manor is so big, besides Cole, the driver, did you hire anyone else?"

“In the past, we did hire a lot of people, including servants, gardeners, and chefs, but then my business had problems. In order to reduce unnecessary expenses, we fired them one after another.

I didn’t want to, but… it was really difficult. "

"Do you still remember the name of the farm worker?"

   "Cindy Botu, Shane Carbin..."

Luke wrote down these names and compared them with the names on the file.

After finishing the transcript, Hans Miller bid farewell to Luke and the two, and rushed to Los Angeles impatiently.

  He's been waiting too long...

  Too long...
