Chapter 12: drag racing party

  Chapter 12 Drag Racing Party

   "FUCK!"

Luke had the urge to shoot the bastard.

Others cheat their fathers, he cheats their teammates.

Luke made up his mind that he must change partners this time when he goes back.

But now he has no choice but to cover him.

David rushed into the house immediately, searched the left hand side, "safe."

Luke followed, searching the right side of the house, "Safe."

The two moved forward, one behind the other, staggered forward.

The house is not big, only living room, kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom.

The room was messy, filled with all kinds of sundries and food waste, and a rotten smell rushed straight to the nose.

"Safety."

"Safety."

  …

Luke and the two searched the house carefully and found no one.

Luke put away the gun and rubbed the coffee table with his fingers. There was already a thick layer of dust. There was still leftover pizza on the coffee table, which was already hairy.

Judging from the rottenness of the food, no one has lived here for at least a week.

"David, there isn't even a mouse in the house, where is the cry for help?"

David shrugged and said nonchalantly, "Maybe... I heard it wrong. You understand."

"Of course, I understand. You are a reckless bastard. If you don't get rid of this stinking problem, you will kill us sooner or later."

"To each other, I'm a bastard, you are a lazy bastard, you don't check such important clues, and run to eat first."

"At least I won't let my teammates be sued, and the time we eat can be used to apply for a search warrant."

"Comeon, the suspect has already fled to Mexico by the time the search warrant is applied for. According to the police system, the police have the right to investigate the suspect's residence in an emergency. It is not illegal for us to do so."

“Any time is an emergency for you.”

The two argued for a few words, and the atmosphere became a little tense.

After a moment of silence, David spread his hands, "OK, I was wrong about this, and I apologize.

However, since you have already entered, why not search it carefully, maybe you can find valuable clues. "

"David, this matter is not over." After Luke finished speaking, the two searched separately.

The living room and bedroom were messy everywhere, and Luke also found a bag of white powder, a few hundred dollars, and some seasonal clothes in the cabinet.

Judging from these circumstances, the suspect left in a hurry.

David also finished the search, stood by the window and looked out, frowning, "Hey, there is a sneaky guy wandering around our car, what does this guy want to do..."

The two went out of the house and saw a sloppy white man looking in through the car window, clasping the door handle with his right hand and holding a long wire in his left hand.

"Bastard, get your dirty hands off!"

Seeing David approaching imposingly, the sloppy white man hurriedly took two steps back and threw the wire aside, "Oh, don't get excited, I was just joking."

"Your joke was funny, but you chose the wrong person." David flashed his police badge.

"Oh, No, I respect you and don't want to cause trouble." The white man took two steps back, turned around and ran.

Luke had already circled the other side, blocking his escape.

The white man waved his fist, making a gesture to hit Luke.

Luke stepped aside, stretched out his right foot and hooked the opponent's calf.

In a hurry, the sloppy white man couldn't avoid it, and fell directly to the ground, "Bang!"

Luke put his knee against the opponent's lower back, "lapd, you dare to steal a police car, you are very brave."

The sloppy man didn't try to resist, but just tilted his head and said, "Sir, I didn't think about stealing the car, it was really just a joke."

"The long wire in your hand doesn't look like a joke." Luke handcuffs him and lifts him off the ground.

A woman with messy hair ran over from a distance, "What are you doing, why are you arresting my friend?"

David flashed his police badge, "Are you his accomplice?"

"Are you the police?" The woman's mental state is not very good.

David tilted his head slightly, looked at the woman in front of him, and seemed to recognize her, "Lindsay, I'm David."

The woman waved her hand, "Let him go."

David patted his chest with his hands, "Lindsay, it's me, David."

The woman seemed to recognize David and shook her head, looking a little uneasy.

David approached slowly, "It's okay, I've been looking for you everywhere, just to make sure you're doing well. Are you okay?"

The woman stepped back, "I'm fine, I'm fine, stay away from me."

"I just want to help you, just want to help you."

Lindsay asked back, "You want to help me?"

"Yes."

"Give me all the cash on your body?"

"What?"

   "Give me all the money."

"Shall I send you to drug rehab?"

"I don't need to go to that kind of place. Come on."

David glanced back at Luke, looking helpless, "Lindsay, don't do this."

The two looked at each other for a moment, David sighed softly, and took out a few banknotes from his trouser pocket.

Lindsay snatched it, turned and ran.

David looked at her background with a lonely face.

Luke was a little dazed, seeing such a 'weak' David for the first time, "What happened?"

David's eyes were red, he walked over quickly, and punched the sloppy man in the stomach, "What's your name?"

   "Logan Salmu"

"Enough David, someone is coming." Afraid that he was making an irrational move, Luke dragged the sloppy man aside.

David gritted his teeth and said, "Remember this lesson, there will be no next time."

The sloppy man couldn't straighten up in pain, and nodded repeatedly.

Luke asked, "What about this guy?"

   "Let him go."

"are you serious?"

   "Let him go."

The sloppy man urged, "He let me go."

Luke unlocked the handcuffs, let the sloppy man leave, sat in the passenger cab with some displeasure, and asked, "What's going on?"

David lowered his head, his voice full of helplessness, "That's my wife, I haven't seen her for almost half a year."

Luke was a little surprised, "Ex-wife?"

"We are not divorced." David let the car thief go, because he didn't want to involve his wife.

Someone stole his car, and his wife even helped to release the news. If the news got out, he would become the laughing stock of the entire police station.

Luke just took a few glances, and he could tell that the woman was on drugs.

A policeman's wife is actually a drug addict, this kind of thing is hard for anyone to tell.

"Calm down, I'll ask the neighbors about Tony's situation." Luke got out of the car and glanced at the surroundings. Except for a few idle people wandering around, he didn't see anyone who was serious in his yard. resident.

Luke knocked on the doors of several neighbors, but no one opened the door, and it was unknown whether it was unoccupied, not at home, or simply did not want to open the door.

"This **** place..." Luke felt a little homesick.

Backing in the car, David's mood seemed to have returned to normal, and he asked, "Have you gained anything?"

   "I haven't even seen a single person."

"These rotten people are like vampires, they only come out at night." David started the car, "I'll take you to meet some friends, they should know about Tony's situation."

The car drove a few hundred meters forward, and there was a bar not far away.

Many motorcycles were parked in the open space in front of the bar, and a group of men in leather jackets gathered, some with white skulls printed on their leather jackets.

"This is the friend you said?"

"Know how to spot a motorcycle gang member?"

"The markings on the leather jacket read the gang's name, origin, and status. The name of this Drag Race gang is 'Motorcycle Die Hard Guys.'" Luke smiled and cursed, "These **** stole my 'nickname'."

David said, "This area is under the control of drag racing gangs. They must know Tony's details."

   "Is there your informant here?"

   "No, but soon."

"What do you mean?"

David didn't answer the question, "Do you know which guys in this group are the most dangerous?"

"Those leather jackets with skulls on them?"

“No, it’s the members who don’t have skulls on their leather jackets, and the only way they can get to the top is to commit a felony, like assaulting a police officer, in front of a group of gang members.”

Luke glanced at him, "You want to fight?"

"Yeah, I'd rather be beaten to death than suffocated."
