Once Chen Mu woke up that morning, he took out a piece of used paper and calculated the number of minions needed to reach each level.

The piece of paper was stolen from one of the love letters that had been given to Chen Yifei. Chen Yifei had always received loads of love letters ever since she was young. There were so many of them that even if they wiped their butts with the paper, they would not be able to run out of it. It has to be said that Chen Yi Fei was much more popular than Chen Mu.

With such a huge amount lying around, it was hard to deal with them on time. Hence, letters had to be burnt from time to time. When Chen Mu realized it, he told Chen Yifei that he would burn the letters himself.

In truth, Chen Mu felt that burning the letters was too wasteful, and he would rather reuse them because it was a better option.

The best example was the love letter Chen Mu was currently writing on. It was a love letter that had been written in a very nauseating manner:

Oh~ Darling!

You are the angel that dances around my heart

You are the fairy that floats in my dreams

You are the blue sky on top of my head

You are my cotton blanket during winter

You are my air-conditioner during summer

You are the sunshine to my day

You are the moon to my night

You are the insecticide when I am surrounded by mosquitoes

Chen Mu laughed his head off at the love letter. What a miraculous insecticide! If the guy ever managed to get himself a girl with such a love letter, it would have to be a paranormal event.

Nevertheless, the letter had been written on good quality paper and only on one page. Hence, in order to save paper, Chen Mu asked Chen Yifei for her love letters from time to time. Ever since then, Chen Mu did not have the need to buy draft paper throughout senior high.

Chen Mu guessed that it was the benefit of having a disastrously attractive younger sister. After a while, he finally managed to calculate everything clearly.

Level 1 to Level 2, seven minions; Level 2 to Level 3 required him to farm all the way to the second melee minion in the fourth minion wave.

That amounted to twenty minions and one additional siege minion. The minions would level up as more time passed in the game; the castor minions’ attack damage increased along with the experience they granted for after being killed.

Fortunately, everything had its own formula. After spending half an hour on it, Chen Mu understood that clearing the ninth minion wave was needed to reach Level 6. Eventually, Chen Mu also found out how much experience from killing minions was needed for each level.

It exhausted him, and Chen Mu truly felt like he was conducting scientific research. He had not yet played too many matches, but he was required to find out so much about the game’s mechanics. It was all a bunch of complicated statistics.

Others played the game for fun, and Chen Mu guessed that he would not be able to use much of his brainpower for work in the future.

Everything was settled before Chen Mu was summoned for breakfast. He rubbed his wrists and then dug into a bowl of watered-down porridge and salted vegetables.

Chen Mu was enjoying his food when Chen Yifei suddenly said to him, “Big Brother, come to my room later.”

“?” Chen Mu gave her a questioning look without moving his lips.

“I want to ask you about a test question.” The tone Chen Yifei was using to talk to him sounded strange. Chen Mu knew something was up, but he knew he had to go. Helplessly, he nodded.

Chen Yifei’s room was much nicer than Chen Mu’s. Her room was decorated in the image of how a young girl’s room looked like. Dolls were all over the room. They all had been purchased when she was still in junior high.

Chen Yifei sat on her chair and put her leg over the other. Dressed in much looser clothing at home, Chen Yifei’s blindingly fair thighs could be seen.

“Didn’t you say that you were going to fulfill your promise today? Time to teach me how to play,” said Chen Yifei.

“Sigh, of course. But old pop is at home,” Chen Mu said.

“Let’s go to a cybercafe,” Chen Yifei said.

“It’s expensive. We can’t afford to,” Chen Mu answered.

“As long as you’re really strong, you don’t have to pay for the internet,” Chen Yifei replied.

Chen Mu looked at her questioningly. You could use the internet for free if you were good at the game? There was actually such a thing?

“That’s right, there’s an event going on at Sky Galaxy Cybercafe right now. You’ll be rewarded with five bucks of internet fee if you manage to score ten kills consecutively in a blind pick match. Not to mention, a penta kill will give you ten bucks. In ranked games, achieving legendary will give you ten bucks, while a penta will give you twenty bucks. However, all this is only limited to the privileged area, and it’s more expensive there,” Chen Yifei explained.

“That’s wonderful, we can go there. I think I can game for free there now.” It was a pleasant surprise for Chen Mu. Earning money by gaming? It would not cost him anything.

“Are you sure? Ten consecutive kills in a blind pick match. It’s not ‘kill ten’. You lose the offer if you die even once in the middle of it,” Chen Yifei said with her eyebrows furrowed.

“Whether I can or can’t, there’s a chance at the very least. Let’s go.” Chen Mu was in a wonderful mood. Nothing pleased him more than being able to save money.

Chen Yifei had a flashback to her childhood. Whenever Chen Mu played arcade games by the roadside that involved shooting marbles, catching fish, or racing cars etcetera, he was usually able to play for the whole day with a coin. He would even bring back a bunch of marbles sometimes. Having seen how good Chen Mu was at 1v1s, Chen Yifei wondered if he was equally as good in normal matches too.

Both of them arrived at Star Galaxy. This time, Chen Mu generously applied to become a member of the place and topped up five bucks.

‘Yep, if I can kill ten people consecutively, I’ll be able to keep on playing. If I can’t, I’ll just leave,’ that was what Chen Mu thought.

Looking at the price list at the front desk, Chen Mu was aghast after learning about the existence of a Goddess card in the cybercafe. If one signed up for the cybercafe’s membership with a female identification card, they could get fifty percent off.

Chen Mu felt a deep sense of discrimination. It was obviously sexism! How was it fair that girls got to enjoy more privileges with two more pieces of meat.

Chen Mu angrily went to the front desk lady and argued, “What’s going on with your cybercafe? Why do girls get fifty percent off?”

The young lady at the front desk was quite pretty. When she heard Chen Mu’s question, she answered awkwardly, “The boss decided it. We’re just following orders.”

“Then, can I use my sister’s identification card to apply for a Goddess card?” Chen Mu asked.

“…” The little front desk lady went blank. What kind of stingy man was this? She had never encountered a boy who wanted to apply for a Goddess card.

“I’m afraid not. Your sister already made one,” the lady explained patiently.

“Then, if I bring another girl over?” Chen Mu continued asking.

“…the difference would be too big, so I don’t think so either.” Beads of sweat started to form on the front desk lady’s forehead.

“If I crossdress? My sister has a lot of dresses.” Before Chen Mu could say anything further, Chen Yifei dragged him away; her face was flushed red. It was simply too embarrassing.

‘You even thought about crossdressing just to get a discount to play online games. Have you no shame?’

Chen Mu was dragged to a seat. Nevertheless, he was still a little upset at the idea that he was losing out.

“Aren’t you here to earn your internet fee? Can’t you just kill a few more?” Chen Yifei covered her face as she indulged in self-denial for having such an embarrassing elder brother.

“I can only earn one hour’s worth of internet fee if I kill ten people, but you can earn two. It’s a big difference.” Chen Mu calculated everything to the penny. He would definitely save up on anything he could save up on.

Chen Yifei logged in to her account without saying another word. She refused to discuss the matter with Chen Mu any further.

The cybercafe had always kept up with the times, and the owner was a very capable businessman. The moment he noticed League of Legends’ popularity, he instantly applied to set up a privileged area and hiked up his prices.

Then, since there were not many who came to the area, he put forward such kinds of promotions. Based on the information he had, he knew that the number of League of Legends players was rapidly increasing each day.

There was an average increase of a hundred thousand summoners every day. The amount was so shocking—it was an absolute blowout.

Additionally, the number of players was at a forty-five degree upward curve. It meant that there was a chance the game would reach a hundred and fifty thousand players daily in the future. With thirty to forty million people jumping into the game annually, how could he not grab ahold of such an opportunity?

With so many newbies around, it was considered rather impressive for one to achieve legendary in a blind pick match. Not to mention, even if solo queue game gods came to freeload off their internet fees, it would be an effective promotional campaign as well. He was guaranteed a profit regardless of what happened.

Having opened up the cybercafe, other than the electricity bill and employees’ salaries that had to be paid, anything else he earned was basically profit. What was most important for the cybercafe was its fame and number of daily visitors. Hence, such forms of promotions would make many people increase their game time. It was a solid profit idea.

After Chen Mu had logged in to his account, Chen Yifei glanced at his in game name and asked, “Like your actual person?”

“We 1have always had a humble name. There’s no need to announce it out loud, my lovely consort,” Chen Mu retaliated.

“Your Majesty must boost me to legendary, okay?” Chen Yifei said with an unnaturally sweet voice.

All of a sudden, Chen Mu felt a searing pain in his foot. Chen Yifei had stomped hard on his foot with the heel of her own.

Chen Mu held in the pain and did not yelp. Soon enough, he escaped the sea of pain after about three seconds.

Then, an account named SnowAndRain added Chen Mu.

Both of them proceeded to start a blind pick match. Since Chen Yifei’s account had reached a thousand two ELO points, they were matched with mostly max level players.

Chen Mu’s account was only at Level 4. He chose Golem, the champion he had used in his previous game, to support Chen Yifei’s Sheriff.

Since he was about to kill more people, it would be better for him to use champions that he was familiar with.
