38 Another Package?

RING!

For the first time since the heartbreaking incident 10 days ago, Aunt Yuma finally called.

"Hiro, where are you? Are you no longer living in Yuujin's apartment?"

Hiro wasn't surprised at all if his aunt didn't know that he had been kicked out from Yuujin's apartment.

"I have moved out." He lied.

"You moved out? Why didn't you tell me, you stubborn brat!"

"Why do you call, Aunt Yuma? It's unusual for you to contact me."

"The security's apartment called me, he said there was a package sent for you. You have to take it now before they throw it away. Do you get it? Go get the package! I don't want to get calls from that person again."

"Ahh— don't forget to give me some if it's inheritance money!"

Beep!

She didn't even ask how Hiro was doing or whether he was still alive or not. In fact, it looks like she didn't even care where he lived now.

Hiro couldn't help but take a deep breath after hearing his aunt's words.

Even so, he managed to be curious about the information shared by his aunt.

'Another package for me, huh? Who sent it?'

Luckily, the location of Yuujin's old apartment with Hiro's new residence wasn't so far away that he could rush off that night instead of having to be curious and anxious about the mysterious package.

Hiro immediately took his jacket and walked out of his room.

Outside, it was already dark but it was not late yet that he passed a few people as he walked down the sidewalk.

It was so cold outside that Hiro immediately felt the need to buy a new warmer jacket, if only he had enough money for it.

And after walking for almost half an hour, Hiro finally arrived at the main road leading to Yuujin's apartment. He paused for a moment to stare at the apartment from a distance.

A fairly high building with fifty floors, but Hiro's eyes were fixed on the 30th floor, he remembered very well the window he used to spend enjoying the night view of Tokyo.

"It's only been a week, but it feels like it's been a long time. You'll never come back right, Yuujin?"

Hiro continued walking toward the apartment and immediately headed to the main lobby. There, he met a well-dressed woman who was sitting in front of an acrylic table.

He passed several long sofas that were neatly arranged in the lobby of the apartment and three people in black suits complete with sunglasses were sitting there.

Hiro felt uncomfortable as the three of them seemed to be watching him behind the sunglasses.

Were they an idol's bodyguards or what? Their costumes are too flashy to wear in a casual apartment lobby like this.

"Good evening, is there anything we can help you with?" The receptionist greeted Hiro with a smile.

He didn't know her. The lady was the new receptionist at the place.

"Ah—I'm Yamaguchi Hiro. I heard there's a package for me. I want to take it." Hiro answered shortly.

"Wait a minute, let me check it."

Hiro leaned against the high desk of the receptionist while looking at the lobby which used to be a view he often saw every single day. The lobby had not changed much since the last time he saw it.

His eyes returned to the three men dressed like bodyguards and they were sitting still, staring at Hiro through their glasses.

Made Hiro instantly turn around and feel even more strange.

"What are they doing here? Why do they keep staring at me?"

Hiro found a stainless cup where some stationery was kept on the table in front of him.

Deliberately, he shifted the position of the stainless cup so that he could peek at the three mysterious men through the reflection on its surface.

Even though Hiro wasn't looking at the three of them, it was clear that the three of them were still staring at his back. It was as if they were watching him in silence.

"Shit…what the hell are they doing, really?"

"Mister Yamaguchi," the woman reappeared from another room behind him, carrying cardboard the size of an adult male shoe box and then handing over the box to Hiro.

Her sudden appearance surprised Hiro a little.

"Here's a package for you. Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Hiro checked the box in front of him and saw that there was a police stamp on the cover of the box and apart from that, he didn't find any other information.

"Do you know who sent this package?"

"I wasn't on my shift when the package arrived, but there was a sticky note on it saying that there is an important letter in the box."

Hiro raised an eyebrow suspiciously, but the woman was telling the truth.

He had no other choice but to check it himself later at home.

He walked outside while carrying the box, leaving the lobby and the three strange men.

Even though Hiro didn't look at the three mysterious men anymore, he could feel their eyes were still fixated on him until he left the place.

Hiro quickly walked to go home, but as he passed a car parked on the side of the road, he glanced through the car and he could see that someone was following him behind. It was obvious seeing the shadows reflected from the car's body.

However, when Hiro suddenly looked back, he didn't see anyone behind him. It was just that there was the sound of a gust of wind indicating that someone had just moved before he caught him.

Hiro walked back cautiously, occasionally he deliberately looked back to check on the person who was following him. But he didn't find anything. It seemed that this person was quite experienced in stalking.

He walked even faster, then started to run. At that moment, Hiro jumped while turning his body backward and caught the stalker.

Tap!

And thus, Hiro just knew that it was the three men and not just a person.

The three mysterious men in suits were caught getting ready to jump somewhere else to hide.

Hiro was surprised to see that the three men in the lobby had been following him all along. No wonder he felt even strange after he left the apartment.

After gulping his own saliva, Hiro decided to run.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

"Wait, you! Stop right there!"

Hiro accelerated his run when one of them shouted at him, telling him to stop. His heart was already beating very fast because the three men were still chasing him.

"Damn it! Why are they following me?"

"What do they want from me?!"

"Good Lord! What if they want to kill me?!"

He deliberately turned towards another alley that was not the one leading to his house to buy time. There was no point in running and hiding at home because he lived alone and there was no police station to turn to for help.

Tap!

Tap!

Tap!

The three mysterious men were still chasing him. Not only did their bodies look muscular, but they could also run very fast, almost reaching Hiro.

"Shit!"

BRUUUM!

A sports motorbike suddenly appeared from an alley right near Hiro, it almost hit him.

A slim rider in a tight black leather jacket was riding the bike. It was a woman.

Her face was hidden behind a black sports helmet.

"Come! Now!"

Hiro was sure he had heard that woman's voice before.

"Quick!"

Without thinking, Hiro got on the motorbike seat and the woman immediately hit the gas just as the three mysterious men almost grabbed Hiro's back from behind.
