Sector nineteen, Seven

I might have miscalculated my chances at winning this quite a bit.

Turns out fighting one giant thunder spitting tiger is nothing like fighting the humanoid version with human level intelligence and everything else that comes with a kungfu panda character.

We started with a staring battle that lasted for about a minute. Don't know why but just standing there like that made me feel uneasy so a took a fighting stance I vaguely remember from some game I played. I'm not a martial artist or anything but I know a hit to the head is the easiest way to take down a man, I need to be able to react fast enough to prevent getting knocked out.

Then there is the problem with the fangs and claws. Just because he is humanoid in form doesn't mean he would fight like a human does. Rather than punching and kicking maybe he would try tearing me apart or possibly take a bite. After all, is there even a thing such as space kungfu?

"Who knows, but if I had to guess then there is at least one martial art per specie"

'and how much are there?'

"A lot"

To avoid being a nuisance during my little showdown with the clan head Iris retreated to her corner in my head -which is completely useless since I can hear he r talk-, but this way it would be much easier to execute our plan.

It seems our opponent is also preparing to make his move, lowering his posts as he is about to jump.

"you don't mind if I go first, right" he said as his white fangs peered through overconfident grin.

"go ahead, no need to be polite" I don't know why he even bothered to ask, his entire plan is basically killing me and taking what I have. He does seem like the muscle brain character, the size says it all, but is he?

When he jumped into the ring he immediately turned off that thing he did before raining thunder on us and his fur returned to normal.

"Let's just call it aura from now on"

'Yeah, that would be easier'

So, if he realized from the earlier attack that I'm able to absorb his projectiles and decided to resort to physical attacks instead, then turned off his aura as a precaution wouldn't that make our plan useless?

"We won't know until you get hit once or twice… or trice…"

'Yeah, I get the idea already'

Time to focus.

The distance between us is about forty five feet. You wouldn't think he could cross into in one step, but he did.

It was fast, but not enough that I couldn't react. I jumped aside to avoid his left as it swung down, just as I predicted the guy is using his retractable claws to do some serious damage. With how his arm pierced into the floor I doubt I would survive a direct hit, he might even snatch quite the chunk of meat if I was unlucky.

The human tiger thing wasn't done yet. Balancing himself on the arm that hit the floor he went for a kick that managed to connect. I still had to get my feet on the ground so I was sent flying a few feet in the air, that's when I learned I could flip my body and land safely like gravity and physics only existed in text books.

The kick itself didn't do much damage, compared to an angry Lilia this guy was nothing. But although I wasn't hurt or knocked to the ground the spectators started roaring and cheering like their leader had just won the fight

"YEEEAAAAAHH!!!"

"GO GET HIM BOSS!!"

"HUMAN MEAAAAAT!!!!"

"KILL THAT SHIT!!"

"ROAAAAAAAR!!!!!"

'so this is what it feels like, playing on your opponents turf'

"Focus, you're leaving yourself wide open"

'Again, I'm not really a martial artist. What I do is just loosely imitating what I remember from the games and anime I remember'

"Doesn't matter, the artificial gravity on this ship seems weaker then that of Rooster, try using that to your advantage"

'Really? I never noticed'

"Just so you know Lilia adjusted it on our ship to the same level, you are the only one who didn't notice"

So, am I supposed to feel lighter or something? I can't say I noticed the difference, but maybe being able to do a midair flip does have something to do with it.

"Anyways, if he goes for a swing next time don't make a distance. Close in on him and hit his left flank"

'O-okay?'

I don't really know what Iris is expecting from me. Unless I get to use my newly acquired super powers I don't think I can fate this boss level space tiger alien thing. Heck, I don't even have my gauntlets on this time around, his fur is probably more than enough to cancel any effect my punches could have.

"Hey, you waiting for something?" The clan head pulled out his arm that was pierced into the floor, shaking it to remove some fragments that got stuck "it seems you aren't much of a fighter, huh?" he looked at me with a disappointed look, but what he said wasn't that fat from the truth

"Well, technically you aren't really wrong" I'm a human after all. Not just that, but I'm also a nerd who spent most his life in a dark room shit talking with people I never know while I sat safely behind my screen. Just because I got myself a beautiful alien wife, some energy absorbing superpowers and began working out a little doesn't mean I can now go around punching anthropomorphic tigers like it's the most normal thing in the world.

"I would prefer if you just gave up and apologized" I can't use my powers since Iris needs that energy to stay awake, so I was hoping to absorb more from him but…

This guy doesn't plan on giving me the chance.

"Very funny, veeery funny" he said as he slowly walked toward me "do you even understand the scale this fight is on?" a few steps in and he suddenly appeared in front of me, he was so fast that it made me wonder if he could warp, but the movement of his arms didn't have the same speed.

I tried but couldn't do what Iris told me. His attacks didn't stop and I was occupied dodging. Strange enough I was able to keep up with him and his claws didn't put a single scratch on my skin, that got me over confident which led to me seeing that kick a second too late. For the second time I was sent flying across the ring, and unlike the first, I was hit in the area I guarded the least.

The second one did hurt more than the first, I struggled to get some air in as I got up after my not so graceful landing and when I looked up the other guy was standing in front of me

"You suddenly got your hands on a fortune, not many get to have a whole planet for themselves, and even less get their hands on one the same size with as much resources as yours" He kicked me once more. To his surprise I managed to guard and wasn't sent flying, yet the crowd continued cheering and applauding just like they did up to this point.

"Tell me, human…" going for yet another kick thee clan head had a much more serious expression on "what do you plan on doing, now that you have more than you could ever spend?"

This was the third kick, it would be pathetic to get sent flying again. I got a grip on his feet after blocking, planting my legs in the floor to cancel the hit

"None… of your f.u.c.k.i.n.g business" I said with trying my best to put on a smile. On the inside I was asking Iris whether her plan is working or not

"it's not much, but I got some" she said, clearly excited "it will take some time, try not to lose you hold!"

That is clearly easier said than done. That tiger faced alien wasn't that much of an idiot to not notice us stealing electricity from his own body, though he seemed quite surprised about it. He no longer had that calm confidence from before, punching me in the face to release himself then jumped twenty feet away.

"You thought keeping it inside would stop me?"

Earlier when he sent that lightning bolt down on Lilia Iris and I instantly noticed it was the same pure energy that giant thunder spitting tiger used against us back on Gorgola, although watered down but still as pure.

The one who bent the bolt and drew it to me was actually Iris. She knew she could manipulate the Verta energy inside my body but it was out of luck that she did it when trying to save Lilia's life.

We learned what Logan meant when he said the clan head had received a blessing from their supposed god.

I know what you might think. By the same mindset doesn't that mean I was also blessed by this god of theirs, right? Well, I can't say being possessed by an annoying ghost is my idea of being blessed, even if she is a cute tiger/cat-girl.

The clan head was seriously shaken by what we did. It was just a small portion, not enough to use even added to the one from his first attack, but now that we know we could rob him of however much he had the way this fight would go is going to completely change.

"Now then…" this is where the real fight begins.

As cliché as that sounded I did my best to gather my courage as I leaped forward. This wasn't the time to be ■■■■■, right now Seven is the one holding the wheel.

….

The clan head didn't just stand in his place and wait for Seven, he probably knew letting this drag in for too long wont be in his favor and plans on ending it before that

His first step always had incredible speed behind it, but the rest of his movement were normal at best. Seven avoided his right and like Iris instructed he punched him in the side, then in the stomach.

'It didn't have much effect but man does it felt nice to finally land a hit!'

Iris yelled at him to get a hold on the fur covered guy while he had the chance. The head tried to stab his claws in Seven's back but both his arms were deflected followed by an apricot to the jaw that shook his brain and made him stumble backwards but before he fell Seven wrapped his arms around his waist hugging him like the giant plushy he is.

"I'm taking everything you got, don't hold a grudge alright!!?"

Seven was probably a little bit stronger than he thought he was, or it's just that his opponent is way fragile than he looks. Just putting a little strength in his arms and the clan head started screaming his lungs out, but you can't really blame him as the fingers in both Seven's hands were starting to sink in his sides. He desperately tried to push him away, smacking him in the head and clawing at his back, he even tried to bite his head off, but the stubborn human wasn't about to let him go.

'You done yet?'

"Not even close, I'd doesn't seem as easy now that he knows what we're doing"

'then let's knock him out first'

"Hey! Calm down, you are st-"

Not listening to the voice in his head anymore Seven let go of the fur covered tiger faced hulk and grabbed the arm he was about to hit him with then performed an almost perfect shoulder throw slamming him into the floor following by kicking him to get revenge for what he did moments ago.

The cheering and roaring stopped. Maybe, just maybe, the other humanoid tigers didn't find it so funny that their boss is getting beaten to the curb.

"W-what's wrong with him?"

"Are humans supposed to be this strong?"

Their whispering voices reached Seven's ears, making him burst with laughter and shout at the crowd

"No, not at all. But whatever! Who cares!"

"hey idiot! You are losing control again!" her voice indicated she's going through quite the struggle, but Seven didn't notice at all.

"YOU SHUT UP!!"

"WHY DO I HAVE TO LISTEN TO SOME STUPID GHOST!!? IF I WANT TO GO WILD I GO WILD AND NO ONE CAN DO SHIT ABOUT IT!!!!"

Almost no one knew who the human was shouting at, but slowly a strange feeling began spreading between them. The same feeling they had when their leader used his blessing a few moments ago, and the human who's hair was jet black until this point had a change of color. Now it's pure white, flowing upward as blue energy sparked all over his body.

Seven walked toward the head, who was slowly getting up. To the clan head it seemed like Seven's movement suddenly got faster, his hits didn't miss and with every punch came enough power to knock a normal Male Herara to the ground. He punched him in the face then the c.h.e.s.t then the stomach then went back to the face. The human didn't bother dodging anymore, he just continued pummeling the clan head until he broke one of his fang, after which he kicked him across the stage.

"You surely don't look so strong now, huh?" Seven didn't leave Hir any time to recover, be followed him immediately, stepped on his right arm then put more and more pressure on it until the bones snapped "I thought you were blessed or something… well, having a connected with that damn monster makes me more pissed that's all"

Hir was in a really bad situation. No, bad wasn't enough to describe how the event's turned out. When he lifted his head the first thing he noticed was his followers fleeing the arena, the next thought that crossed his mind was that he screwed up.

He did receive reports from the group that went to Rooster. He didn't want to believe it but after experiencing it first hand and with how his subordinates are reacting he had no choice but to admit that the human does have the same presence as him. Not only that, but he is also capable of absorbing the unique energy Verta blessed him with, he has more control over the thunder than Hir who is supposed to be the chosen one from the day of his birth.

"now, stay down and don't resist" following those words Seven grabbed Hir's head and smashed it into the floor.

'Hey! Get done with it already!'

"Really? Keeping you from draining my reserve is taking all my attention at the time!"

Iris was in a rather intense game of tug of war, Seven doesn't seem to notice he is doing exactly what promised her he wouldn't do. When he got just a little bit excited he started drawing from the Verta energy stored in his body, greatly boosting all his physical attributes but at the same time losing his sense of reality little by little.

Iris, having been the real Verta at some point she thought she was more proficient at controlling the energy. but as Seven has proven multiple times, if he wants to he could just take whatever he wanted and she couldn't do much about it. Rather than playing tug of war it was more like Seven walking in one direction and Iris slowing him down a bit while being dragged along.

This did have it's own benefits though. As it seems in this state Seven's absorption worked multiple times better, they were getting at least enough to make up for what he was consuming by the second.

The spectators had fled, not a single soul stayed to watch how it would end. Hir felt humiliated. Their instincts told them to run, that's understandable. But did they have any doubt that their leader, the Verta clan head, was about to lose a fight against some human who happened to have some luck on his side?

"not…. Gonna…. Happen!!!"

Hir slammed his left arm on the floor, raising his body little by little as Seven regained some sense as he spoke to Iris.

When he finally noticed, it was half a second too late.

Hir stopped pulling his side of the rope. His fur turned completely white erasing all of his blue straps. The arm Seven broke healed and the fangs that fell grew back.

Seven couldn't help but notice the irony in this situation. Just when he thought he defeated him the boss suddenly reveals his second form, stronger, deadlier and most importantly

Really pissed off
