Planet Rooster, Gram city, Lilia

Despite the close resemblance Zesioniens and humans have, the two are still two totally different species.

I'm well aware of this fact, yet I always find myself surprised whenever those differences came to sight

"so... are we really doing to eat this?"

"well, that's why we are here after all"

"I know... but..."

.....

I was done getting my new spear and reunited with Seven who chose to wait outside.

I was relieved hearing no stranger approached him when I was away. Whether I was worried about him or about the strangers, I don't know.

Seven requested we go to a certain place.

Not only did he learn how to use his new book, he is now able to read he map. I find it difficult to believe he learned how to read in just a few days, maybe he already knew how but forgot? there is a lot we can't be sure of with that memory loss he has.

Obviously the best way to know is directly ask him, yet I couldn't bring myself to do it.

What Jar said, I know it not true, I can't let it effect me. To doubt Seven, who was there for me when I needed someone, when I was left all alone after Iris died...

"...umm...Seven..." I have to make sure, I can't let those thoughts continue on for too long "...you can't read our language right... then... how did you know how to use the book?"

Seven took out hes book, tapping the surface to remove the lock

"remember when I told you we had something like this where I'm from?"

"...yeah"

"well, I expected it to have something built in to make it easier for disabled people to use. I you don't really need to read when you can just ask the device and have it replay"

He turned around then said "call Lilia"

moments later we heard my book ringing. A window with Seven's name appeared with the options to answer the call or hang out under it.

"well, this wouldn't be possible if the developers didn't make it so easy to find"

That's right, that kind of options is always part of any device. It made so those who lost their limbs could use it without problem. it's also capable of understanding the common language of the translation Chip...

As I thought, I didn't think it through well.

I watched Seven turn around and start walking, then followed at a slower pace. Thinking about whether or not I should apologize, time passed quickly. We didn't have much of a conversation on the way, it would be more accurate to say we didn't talk at all, and when I finally noticed we were already about to enter the building.

The place we are going to is on one of the floors of the tallest buildings near the center of the city, the ones called sky towers.

The whole floor is several high class restaurants, and what Seven intended to do here is obvious.

It wasn't exactly easy to find, we walked around fo quite a while before we found the restaurant named Red Ramoul.

I was taken by surprise the moment we walked in, this might be the first time I actually felt I'm on an alien planet. A crowd filled the interior of the place, and unlike anywhere in the city the number of Zesioniens present could be counted on one hand.

Most of the customers are the four armed red skinned Homr, and between them we saw individuals from a specie we never meat before, the Bortokali.

The Bortokali, just as described in the books, are completely covered in bright orange fur in every last spot, making it impossible to see their eyes.

they tend to not wear much clothing, only the minimal needed. From what I remember they have great pride in their fur and like to .show it off in order to attract mates.

Here and there we could see a few Deeks too. When I pointed them out Seven almost bursted into laughter. He covered his mouth and turned aside fighting the urge.

Seven compared the Deek to chicken, a none sentient life form from his planet, saying they look like a humanoid -the word he uses to refer to anything that has a human form- version of the bird that in incapable of flight.

What he finds funny is that a rooster is the male counterpart of chicken, saying it makes sense for them to live here.

Even though he explained it to me I didn't find it as amusing. I knew that the Deek are from a planet called Serdouk, but seeing Seven who usually doesn't laugh, laugh, made me want to keep that information for myself.

As we stood near the entrance a waiter came to guide us. He is a rather thin and short male Homr, he repeatedly apologized saying that all the private rooms are booked so we can only use the open area.

As usual we seemed to attract the eyes of other customers, but I could feel more curiosity from them unlike when it's from Zesioniens.

This time at least no hostility is present so I certainly felt easier walking around, but then I started to notice.

"umm...Seven... is there a reason behind you choosing this place in particular?"

It caught my attention as we made our way to our table, nearly on every table.

First is the strong smell then the appearance, the color and the shape.

They seem to enjoy it but the smell, this strange odor, I can tell what it is.

"oh, i didn't tell you did I?" Seven turned my way, a huge smile forming on his face as he closed his eyes and inhaled.

He came back to his senses and cleaned the drool

"We came here for meat!!"
