"… this isn't…what I expected"

The ship landed smoothly, we got an identity check at the reception desk, paid the entrance fee –left the monetary dealing to Lilia- and got out to the street

Up to this point everything was automated. Slid your identity card here, get a retina scan over there, slid your card here again to pay the fees, everything was done with no human –or any other alien- intervention.

That's why the moment we exited the garage space where we left the ship, which apparently is a private aria for each one unlike what you would expect from a space ship ports –or normal ship ports-, the shock came to me with a more disappointed feeling than it should for someone who is out of his first interstellar trip

"welcome to gram city" Lilia read on the rectangular board that appeared in front of us for a brief moment.

From the right to the left the building we came out of seemed to stretch endlessly with nothing to distinguish the exits from each other aside from the orange plates with what I assume is their number.

Opposite to all that is a wall of cube like buildings stacked so close to each other with no side alleys between them. in the distance I could see different constructions growing in size the further away from the port they are.

I would say it's generic to see an air traffic right above our heads as flying cars and the like are a common thing in sci-fi stories, but the fact that I could still see the stars even with how brightly lit this place is made it somewhat different from the nighttime urban aria's of a human city.

Key word here is: human

The place was filled with Zesioniens

Even though their males had a stronger built with traced muscles as if it's the minimal requirement of belonging to that race, nothing but the horns on their heads made them look any different from your everyday human. Sure the clothes they wore are proper sci-fi themed clothes but they were close to what I'm wearing which reminded me how fast I'm getting used to this.

And as a side note, every female that passed by was levels below Lilia's beauty, not coming anywhere close.

" well then, I have some shopping to do so…" beside them stood the pilot stretching himself after the long raid " I would be here for twelve hours at most so feel free to step by if you change your mind and decide to head back"

I felt that the last part was only directed at Lilia, although none of it showed in his actions during the flight there seem to be a clear wall separating us. The man –Zesionien man- probably isn't all that happy about doing favors for the one who beat up a bunch of his comrades.

Lilia bowed a little " thank you for service" and waved her hand as the man left before disappearing between the crowd .

Now the two, no, the three of us were left alone in unknown territory. Stress did a decent job of amplifying the urge to vomit I have been feeling for the past few days, reminding me that even with my appearance changed and my body in a really nice shape, I'm still a nerd who didn't like crowded places.

Lilia was like a little kid who just arrived at a field trip site. she looked around with an "oh!" or "aha!" her eyes gleaming each time she found something interesting –for her at least, I still can't read the writings on the shop signs-

She was on that god forsaken planet far longer than me, but the idea I had of her getting anxious over the number of people is way off the mark

Her eyes then fall on me, her face exploded red making me realize I've been smiling the whole time my eyes followed her. what a blessing it is. Making a girl blush with a simple smile was a privilege only handsome guys had, but Lilia being as cute as the main heroine in some popular games or manga – no, definitely cuter- the magic was reflected on me and I felt heat building up on my face, forcing me to look aside covering it's lower half.

It would make sense if blood starts bursting out of my nose right now, and I may run out before I get a chance at kissing her again.

As I waited for the awkwardness to die out Iris came in sight, still silently floating on my left with her eyes open wade.

is this her way of showing excitement?

She is cute, alright, not as cute as Lilia of course, and lacking in some aspects –lacking too much if I have to say- , but when she is silent like this with those rosy cheek I can understand why Lilia said she was popular back on their planet.

" r-right! First thing we should do " Lilia clapped her hands jumping at the chance to change the mood " Iris said before that the first thing to do in an open planet is to get its guide book"

I reflexively turn to the ghost girl only I could see

" well, I read that many times before, it's the best place to get a map of the city's current layout" Iris said without taking the time to look at me

" so? Where do we get this… guide book?"

"hmm…" with her index finger on her lip Lilia started to look around

A few seconds later and she still couldn't figure it out

"s-should we check that thing over there" the one who broke the silence was me

My right hand moved on its own pointing to a gathering of half transparent boards of different colors. It would be more accurate to say ghost girl moved my hand leaving me to come up with an excuse to as why my hand is acting strangely

'hey, from now on there is no controlling me'

"it's because you are so useless that I had to, according to your thoughts shouldn't the male take the lead in situation like this?"

' well it's me first time going on an alien planet date'

Yeah, like hell something like that could go without problems. And the first thing to wrack this event even before it began is the sickness making me realize I'm not feeling well enough to enjoy my time.

'shit, not now…'

Lilia went to get the book and Iris followed after her as I did my best to keep them from noticing that I'm about to throw up.

This probably isn't the best time to remember a scene from some anime I watched, but I was thankful that it gave me some hints about the right actions I should take in a place like this

" Lilia, come here for a second " I called her shortly after she finished downloading the guide into her Smartphone like device, she had already started reading through the content looking for the best places to go sit seeing

"is something wrong?" she asked, closing the hologram her 'smartpghone' made

" give me your hand for a moment"

" eh?"

Hesitating a little she lifted her right hand, which I took without putting much thought into how embarrassing what I'm doing should feel.

" you don't have your spear right now and I don't feel too well, if anything happen you have to take actions first "

This would have been a really nice moment if the thing I slid on her wrist was some jewelry rather than the bracelet I usually use as a weapon, while they are made of the most expensive element in the universe –as she said herself- they didn't seem the most suitable present a guy would give to a sweet looking girl like her.

Then again, the sickening feeling was clouding my judgment and the fact that I didn't sleep for days didn't help with it at all.

"Seven… you aren't feeling well-" I cut her words putting a finger on my lips

"so, where should we go first?"I asked acting as I normally would

Lilia may have taken the hint or may not, but she took her 'smartphone' and tapped its surface making the hologram appear again

" I was thinking we should find someplace to rest in first, there are quite a few hotels and inns listed here, what do you think?"

" that sounds like a good idea, pick the one you like, I don't mind" I give Iris a side glance then continue " what about tourist attraction, is there anything interesting to see? I wonder if there is a museum like the one the commander told us about"

"hmm… there are a lot of places but…"

" right, our priority right now is to get a new ship "that may not be what Lilia was about to say but it did its work

" hello there you two!" a voice called us from behind

I'm not sure how long he had been standing there, since it doesn't seem right to miss someone like that among a crowd made mainly of Zesioniens, but none of us noticed him getting closer

" you are new here aren't you? Welcome! Welcome! I hope you have a nice stay in our city!"

The man –or whatever he is- was round, no neck ,a round body and a bald head with four green slit like eyes. His teeth probably didn't have an idea what a tooth brush is but each one was the size of a domino piece leading the gap that made his mouth being the size of my arm down from the elbow, he had no nose and the way he breaths is a mystery, and blue, his skin is blue

His ears were covered with some headphone like device and the clothes he wore weren't anywhere near clean and although there were holes in place the guy had no arms coming out of them . All in all this was 'that' kind of guy who would approach new visitors to lead them into some trap by giving false info.

"a beautiful Zesionien lady and a… uh…." The man looked at Lilia who was clearly displeased by his blob like appearance, then he fell silent when he became unable to determine which race I belong to

" it's probably rude to ask but good sir, what planet are you from?" he asked squinting all his four eyes at me

"what? Can't you tell?"

" sorry, sorry, I lived a long life but this is the first time I see a Zesionien without horns or-"

" anyways, what do you want?"

"right, right…" the blub like alien tried but I could tell he didn't take my unfriendliness very well, he sighed a little, some sweat sliding between his eyes

" I didn't intend on eavesdropping but I heard you talking about something interesting" a grin so huge spread across revealing his yellow ugly teeth even more " I happen to know a group of people working in that domain and I'm sure you would find what you d.e.s.i.r.e between their collection"

"Really" com'on now, could it be more obvious than this?

"but of course! They got a GLNT 23, a ZZ plus with a constantly active barrier, a 'giant castle' loaded with E3 canons not to mention-"

"take a step behind" said Iris and having ignored this guy all along, I already noticed what was going on and moved as she said

"GOWAAAAA!!!" a high pitched cry came from behind

A small creature the size foot ball covered in blue fur had its long tail under my leg and the hard sole of my shoe already crushed it flat

Some may call this cruel, I get that, but more importantly was what this little creature held with its small hands, it was Lilia's bag

"huh when did it-"

Iris was the only one to notice when it all happened even though I was on guard, it skillfully cut the handle and pulled it without Lilia knowing

The small blue creature cried and let go of the bag trying to pull its tail from under my feet, that's when the blub like guy who did the part of keeping us busy dropped the act and extended the arm he hide inside his body along with a lighter like metallic object

That object quickly doubled in size turning into a handle from which a blade came out swinging right at me

*TINGGGGG

The green blade the blob guy attacked with shattered right upon making contact with the glassume gantlet in Lilia's left arm

" I still don't understand but!"

Her right arm came swinging, burying her fist in his smashing his domino like teeth.
