Lady Cultivator

Three hundred and forty-five, Buddha and Tao

"Senior Mo, how old are you?"

Mo Tiange was crossing his legs and adjusting his breathing. The little girl from the Lu family, Lu Qiongying, looked at her with her chin propped up and asked suddenly.

Mo Tiange opened his eyes and smiled lightly: "Why do you ask this question?"

Lu Qiongying tilted her head and looked confused: "I think the senior looks young, not because he took pills like Dingyan Dan, but grandpa said that the senior is already in the late stage of foundation building, and he may not be older than him. big……"

Is this little girl naive and innocent to say such things?

Mo Tiange glanced at her and said, "You are quite discerning. Can you tell whether someone has taken Dingyan Pill?"

Lu Qiongying touched her head in embarrassment: "Senior, don't be offended. When I meet several aunts on weekdays, I always feel that although they look young, their actions are unnatural... But senior can't tell at all."

Of course, although Mo Tiange has also taken the Dingyan Pill, she is a hundred years old. According to the longevity of a pill-jie monk, she is still a young person.

But she just smiled and said: "I have also taken the Dingyan Pill. I am now over a hundred years old, but my lifespan has not yet passed half, so you can't tell."

"Oh, that's right..." Lu Qiongying lost interest, turned her eyes, and then started to ask with interest, "Senior, have you been to many places, and have you found anything interesting?"

This question made Mo Tiange pause for a moment. She thought about it and said, "When I was young, I followed my uncle to wander around. Although I went to many places, my cultivation level was still low at that time. Every day I wanted to earn enough money. Where can there be any interesting things in spiritual stone cultivation? If I can practice safely and have spiritual stones to buy elixirs, I will be very satisfied."

After hearing this, Lu Qiongying blinked: "So senior, did you suffer like this before..."

"What kind of hardship is this? My uncle is a foundation-building monk after all. There is still a place for the two of us to live, which is pretty good. There are many young monks. It is not easy to rent a cave with spiritual energy..." At this point , she thought of the many injustices she had seen with her second uncle in those years, and couldn't help but feel stunned. Finally, she sighed, "It's not easy to practice casual cultivation..."

It had been a long time since she had thought about these past events. Now she had advanced cultivation and an extraordinary status. She was no longer the little monk struggling at the bottom of the world of immortality. Now that she thought about it, she missed her second uncle more and more. How great would it be if my second uncle could see today?

Pulling her thoughts back from her memories, she glanced at the little girl, suddenly smiled, and said slowly: "I know what your grandfather sent you to do. For a little girl like you who has never experienced anything in the world, it would be too much to do such a thing. I'm sorry for you.

Forget it, let me tell you the truth, if I want to harm your Lu family, with my cultivation, there is no need to compromise. Of course, I do have plans to make friends with you. Now that I have made my words clear, it would be better to admit it frankly. "

Lu Qiongying was shocked when she saw that her eyes were calm but lurking in edge. Grandpa called her here because he really wanted to test whether Senior Mo had any ulterior motives. If he didn't have any ulterior motives, he would take the opportunity to let her give him some advice. If it was suspicious, then the Lu family should prepare in advance.

She had been smart since she was a child and had always been loved by her family. She felt that by pretending to be innocent, she could easily deceive this senior. However, she never thought that she was only eighteen years old. How could she compare to this already living person? A senior who has lived for hundreds of years? She felt a faint regret at this moment. If this senior really had any bad intentions, she was only at the seventh level of Qi Refining. How could she save her life?

"Senior...senior..."

Mo Tiange smiled slightly, still as kind as before: "You don't have to be afraid. I don't want anything from your Lu family. I just asked some questions. If you answer everything, I will leave now."

"Senior" Hearing these words, Lu Qiongying was a little anxious. Grandpa had given instructions that as long as this senior had no bad intentions, he must win over him. After all, it was rare for them to see the late-stage foundation-building monks.

Mo Tiange was unmoved, raised his hand to stop her, and then said, "Answer carefully. If you are satisfied, I will give you some benefits."

Lu Qiongying hurriedly swallowed back what she said. Although she was anxious, she also knew that she could not afford to offend this senior, and he also promised to give her benefits...

"Whatever the senior wants to ask, the junior will definitely tell you everything." At this time, Lu Qiongying's attitude was respectful, and she lost the deliberately innocent tone of the little girl just now, and looked like a monk.

Mo Tiange felt that she was more pleasing to the eye, so he smiled and said gently: "First, tell me the general situation in Yunzhong."

A strange look flashed in Lu Qiongying's eyes. She obviously didn't understand what was going on, but she still said honestly: "I wonder what Senior Mo wants to know?"

"The sect, the spiritual lineage, the country... everything has been agreed upon." Mo Tiange said lightly, "Speak as much as you know. The more you speak, the more I will reward you." As she said that, she put her hand in Qiankun Bag, took out a jade bottle and threw it to Lu Qiongying.

Lu Qiongying took it and opened it. It turned out to be a Qi Gathering Pill. There were thirty or fifty pills in the whole bottle.

She was overjoyed, even though she was a very favored junior member of the Lu family, she usually only took Qi-nourishing pills, and Qi-gathering pills only got a small bottle, about five or six pills, every year. How could this senior Mo be so generous with his actions?

Thinking of this, she became more respectful: "Yes."

This Lu Qiongying is also a smart girl. After listening to Mo Tiange's words, she guessed that this senior was probably not from Yunzhong, so she carefully started from the area in Yunzhong, and then slowly talked about the sect and so on.

Mo Tiange just listened quietly.

The land in Yunzhong is large, extending in all directions, and there are many countries. However, there are only three big countries, Dongtang Kingdom, Nanzhou Kingdom, and Beilin Kingdom. These three countries occupy most of the land in Yunzhong. Different from Tianji, these three kingdoms are supported by the immortal sects. Dongtang Kingdom and Nanzhou Kingdom are the territory of the righteous way, while Beilin Kingdom is the territory of the demonic way.

On weekdays, these three countries are in peace with each other. After all, there is no concept in Yun Zhong that good and evil are incompatible. Regardless of whether they are on the right path or the devil's path, they all follow the principle of living independently and will only fight against each other unless there is a conflict of interests.

Dongtang Kingdom is mainly composed of monks, and it is also the largest of the three major kingdoms. There are countless small and medium-sized sects, and there are five that can be called large sects: Jiuyan Sect, Danxia Sect, Jingxu Sect, Pufa Sect, Five Elements Valley.

Among the five sects, Jiuyan Sect is the most powerful. It is said that there are nine disciples under the founder of the sect. These nine disciples are very outstanding and jointly established the sect. They respect their master as the founder of the sect, so they are called Jiuyanzong.

Danxia Sect was originally second only to Jiuyan Sect and was also a major sect, but it has declined in recent years. Among the five sects, it is only stronger than Five Elements Valley.

The Jingxu Sect and the Pufa Sect are equally powerful. Among them, the founder of the Jingxu Sect is a woman, and most of the disciples are female.

In addition, the Five Elements Valley is a sect that specializes in formations. It is said that the disciples in the sect are all very accomplished in formations. However, this sect that focuses on partial sects has never been very prosperous, so the Five Elements Valley is the weakest of the five sects. one. However, despite this, other sects do not dare to bully each other at all. After all, the biggest barrier to each sect's mountain gate is the mountain protection formation. If they offend the Five Elements Valley, they will be in trouble when they fight.

In the Southern Zhou Dynasty, Confucianism cultivators controlled the government, and Buddhist cultivators controlled the state religion. Most of the civilians in the Southern Zhou Dynasty believed in Buddhism, and there were Buddhist temples everywhere with prosperous incense. Confucianism cultivators, on the other hand, controlled the power of the country and educated their subjects through academies. Because Confucianism and Buddhism have different pursuits and have similar teachings, they are very harmonious.

Mo Tiange was very curious about this. Although she knew that there were Buddhist practices elsewhere, she had never seen it in Tianji, so she couldn't help but ask a few more questions. Unfortunately, Lu Qiongying has never traveled outside, and Antarctica is far away from the mainland. She doesn't know much about Buddhist sects.

However, Lu Qiongying didn't know that Buddhist cultivators were common in the clouds, and she had a general idea.

The so-called Buddha, enlightenment, is said to be a sect handed down from ancient times. They pay attention to cause and effect, strictly discipline themselves, believe that all evil thoughts arise from the heart, cut off human desires, and practice hard to become Buddhas.

This made Mo Tiange feel a little weird. She naturally understands the so-called cause and effect. There is also such content in Taoist scriptures, but she is not as cautious as Buddhist practitioners.

The path of Buddhist practice is nothing more than three sentences: all actions are impermanent, all dharmas have no self, and Nirvana is peaceful. The so-called impermanence of all actions means that everything in the world is impermanent; all dharmas have no self, which requires Buddhist practice to let go of the obsession in the heart and find the true self; Nirvana and tranquility are the final destination pursued by Buddhist practice, which is neither born nor destroyed, in order to realize eternal life .

Mo Tiange slowly realized in his heart that the so-called Buddhist practice was actually similar to their Taoist practice. Such as cause and effect, such as the impermanence of things, such as giving up obsession. But on the other hand, the teachings of Buddhism are quite different from those of their fellow practitioners.

The Taoist Scriptures say that heaven and earth are not benevolent and regard all things as stupid dogs. In other words, heaven and earth do not care about benevolence or unkindness. All things arise and perish on their own and have their own destiny. Therefore, the Taoist cultivators in Tianji have never had the concept of benevolence. Cultivation to immortality is a road full of thorns. If they want to become true immortals, they have to fight a bloody road. Kill with demons, kill with monsters, and even kill with the same kind. According to Lu Qiongying, the ascetics in the clouds are no different from those in Tianji.

But this is not the case with Buddhist cultivators. They cultivate their minds and self-cultivation and rarely act rashly with thoughts of killing. They will kill to stop killing unless absolutely necessary.

Therefore, in Yun Zhong, there are few Buddhist cultivators who are trapped in the state of mind among monks above the level of alchemy, and it has always been easier for them to advance to the level of alchemy and Yuanying than for Taoists. But their shortcoming is that their cultivation speed is too slow. If a monk can produce one foundation-building monk out of a hundred Qi Refining monks, it takes hundreds of them to produce one.

After hearing this, Mo Tiange fell into deep thought. She felt that she had grasped some key point.

Regardless of whether you are a Taoist or a Buddhist, there are some contradictions in the teachings, but there are fewer contradictions in the teachings of Buddhists. At least they can explain themselves, but some places of Taoists simply cannot make sense at all.

Cultivating immortality and cultivating the mind is something that ascetics like them have known since they set foot on the path to immortality, but why are they like monsters and beasts, full of bloody fights?

This chapter is boring, but not inconsequential. These boring teachings are relevant to the ending. In addition, the teachings of Taoism and Buddhism in this article are distorted and are different from the actual Taoism and Buddhism in many places, so please do not take it seriously. ) Book friends, please pay attention!
