Chapter 3:Bank account and the 2.5 million

" Stop grinning, you fool. ", Andy said with a disgust.

Shuvam came out of his imaginations and clicked the circular button at the side. The page and its contents stayed the same except for the employ button, the blue button was now replaced by a dark red button. Shuvam clicked it and said good bye to 100 more of his dev coins.

Shuvam was ecstatic about him getting momakeand all. " Quickly tell the bot to transfer me some money.", he said.

"User doesn't have a bank account."

"….."

How could he forget? He was legally of age to get a citizenship but he hadn't got it because he thought he could wait until he gives the 12th grade exams and then get his citizenship. So, naturally he also didn't have a bank account.

If it wasn't for the fact that municipal offices are closed by now. He would barged into his dad's room and dragged him off to get his citizenship card. He knew that the transfer of money was not possible right now. So, he didn't continue the topic any further.

" How much money can you transfer to me ? It would be hard for even you to make me a billionaire overnight. "

" User is at level 1. You can currently get a sum of NRs 2,500,000 in a month if you wish. Any more than that and you will be noticed by the observers. "

Hearing this, he grew ecstatic. He was from a middle class family so he knew how big of a sum 2,500,000 was. He realized that he could play all those games that needed high spec PC and even get a separate PC make games. The thought of just settling down with the mony he gets every month and not making games never crossed his mind. " games..he he…game….hehe…Games…" he kept mumbling.

Andy naturally knew that this guy was just thinking about games he could play and make. After all this was the reason this guy was chosen by ' that guy ' to inherit this software.

Thinking about games, Shuvam said bye to Andy, turned off the laptop and went to sleep.

Next day, he woke up at about 7 AM. His dad was gonna be home soon. He had gone for a morning walk as always. He did his usual stuff and was having breakfast when his dad was back. He quickly finished his breakfast and went to his dad.

" Dad, I want to get my citizenship card. "

" Huh? What do you want that for ? Didn't you say that you wanted it after the end of your exams ? "

" I said that. But it is important. "

" Yeah, yeah. Probably more important than your exams, right ? "

"...."

"Let's go. I will drop you at the municipal office."

" I don't know how things work there. I don't know if I will be able to do it. "

" I will go with you and make the citizenship but after that you return home on your own. "

"Ok, dad. "

He picked up his birth certificate and his dad also took his citizenship card. They went to a photocopier's first. He photocopied two copies of the birth cerficate and two copies of his dad's citizenship card. They actually needed one copy of those documents but they printed two just in case of emergency.

They went to the municipal office. They got some letter that told the people from the district administrative office that he could have a citizenship card. The whole process of going to the municipal office and then to the district administrative office took them about 1 hour.

Unlike Shuvam who was an introverted and not so social guy, his father had a good personality and he was really good at socializing. Shuvam's dad was the owner of a construction company. So, it was no mystery that he knew a lot of people.

The process which usually took 3-4 hours, only took 1 hour for him to finish. Shuvam started to walk and his dad went to do his own things.

When his dad got out of his sight, he turned and went to Nepal bank limited. He already had his citizenship card at hand so there was no need to delay making a bank account. He went through various procedures and had to go out once to get his citizenship card photocopied but he was finished with making a bank account in about a hour. He then asked the bank staff to install the online app of the bank for e-banking purposes and linked his bank account. His current balance was NRs 1000.

One should know that it required a sum larger than or equal to NRs 500 in order to open a bank account at this bank. Shuvam had used the last of his savings to open this account. He was feeling down after using up his savings but his mood turned better when he thought of the 2.5 million that were soon going to be transferred to his account.

Before walking out of the bank, he made use of the free WiFi and transferred NRs two hundred to his Ncell sim card and NRs 100 to his Namaste sim card. After all he needed to make sure that he could check his bank balance at times when he wanted to and all his money had been spent already due to constantly reading novels on qidian.

Shuvam hurried home. His mom and brother were already home from school. They had lunch together and Shuvam went back to his room. He opened his laptop. The defensive bot had already been set to protect his privacy ever since the bot was bought. So he didn't have to worry about his ' privacy '. " Interface ",he said ecstatically.

The same black screen was shown in the monitor but Shuvam couldn't care less. He instantly went to employed bots tab. The defensive bot option was a little whitish as if the not was currently not available. The offensive bot option was clear. He clicked on the offensive bot option and said, " Transfer 2,500,000 to my bank account. "

Suddenly strings of notifications were shown on his phone. He checked his account transaction history and found out that over 20,000 people had sent him various sum of money, ranging from 10,000 to few hundreds. He checked his current balance and it was NRs 2,500,700.

(Remaining 700 from the earlier 1000 of his savings.)

He hadn't got an ATM card because he was thinking of getting a debit card. But he needed to have alt least NRs 50,000 in order to get a debit card. Knowing that he had enough money he immediately called the bank. The bank people checked his account and found out that he had over 2.5 million NRs in his account so they happily accepted his requests and his debit card was ordered. Normally it took NRs 5,000 and about two weeks to get the debit card. There were 4 days to his final exams. And it would take about 8-10 days for his exams to finish, he decided to wait for two weeks.

It was about 3 PM right now. It wasn't that late so he decided to take a nap. He shut his computer down and went to bed. He slept like a pig. He slept for a full 4 hours and was woken up by his mother. He knew that if she hadn't woke him up, he would have slept till next morning. She woke him up and told him to come to the living room because they had to talk about something.

After he heard his mom saying that his parents wanted to talk about something, he felt worried and thought that it was another one of those ' study ' related lectures that he had to endure every other day. He knew that they were worried for him but it was still a drag to hear them nagging.

He went out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face. He smelled chicken and all sorts of delicacies. He drooled while thinking what special occasion it was. He washed his face and went to the living room. Just when he entered, the dark room was brightly lit and the people inside the room yelled, " SURPRISE !!! Happy birthday !! "

It all made sense. It was his friggin' birthday and this was a surprise party no wonder he smelled those delicacies. He now knew why his dad didn't nag when he asked his dad to go with him to get the citizenship card 4 days before his exams. His gaze scanned the people inside the living room as there was a smile plastered over his face.

He wasn't smiling because he was given a surprise party, he was smiling because he didn't have to hear his parent's nagging and by tomorrow he would have dropped his well planned ' bomb ' so there was no need to worry and he was quite happy actually.

"Thank you guys.", he said.
