"There are two owners of this hotel. That girl's father has the lower share. Her father wants her to marry me. The first time we met, I was only 12, and she was trying to get near me. The second time was two years ago ... I told her she was a spoiled brat and that I hate girls like her. After that, she scorned me the most. Every time there's any kind of news about me, she spoils it. She's been doing a lot of things to get my attention, but she's not my type at all."

"So that's why you said she hates you," said Beauty.

"Sorry, Beauty, I never intended this to happen. Don't worry, I'll take care of this. We'll leave tomorrow morning."

Ronald tried to say something but soon kept it to himself. As Clarence sent Beauty to her room, the reporter just stayed with his Boss' side. Clarence gestured for his employee to follow him to an open-air deck.

"I know you have more to say, so spit it out," said Clarence.

"Sure. I'm really angry and anxious for Beauty's sake. I really have a bad feeling that that girl will do something to hurt Beauty. I don't believe that girl hates you. I think she's obsessed with you, but she's angry that you won't even look her way. It explains her actions against you.

"If you hook up with a girl, she might try to hurt your girl and just walk away, blaming you. Do you understand what I mean?" Ronald spoke in a harsh tone towards his rival.

"I never thought you're really shaken when it comes to Beauty. Do you look at her like how a man looks at a woman and not at a friend?" Clarence asked for clarifications.

"Yes, I look at her as a woman I can commit myself to, but I won't pursue her ... for the sake of the both of you. I admit you suit her better than me. I'll be glad to back you up for her, but I don't want to see her hurt. I just want to see her happy and safe." Ronald poured out his innermost feelings for Beauty while showing his support for Clarence's advancements on her.

"I understand, and thanks. I won't let your good intentions go to waste. I can assure you that, but promise me that you won't speak anything of this matter to her. Most of all, your feelings for her."

"Fine, I promise, but you better keep your word, too. I don't want her hurt emotionally and physically because of that girl or by anyone else connected to you."

"I promise, I won't let anyone hurt her. You also don't need to trouble yourself too much. I will clean this mess." Actually, Clarence's promise was mostly directed to himself.

Both of them made a commitment; and from this day forth, a sense of brotherhood, which started from this affair, would begin with a core purpose: Beauty's well-being.

. . . . .

In an office in the hotel they were staying at, a girl was sitting on a sofa while looking at a picture.

"Hmm, this girl is pretty; I'll admit that. Clarence, you have good taste. Let see until when this girl will cling on you. Since you don't want me, then you can't have any girl at all."

. . . . .

(Your Romeo,

I'm in Cebu now. A lot of things happened today. I don't know where to start. So I just want to ask your opinion as a man. How do I know a man really loves me?

Waiting for your reply,

Beauty)

Clarence was surprised when he read her email. 'Was she talking about me? Of all people to ask for this kind of topic, why me? How am I able to answer this?'

(Beauty,

That's a hardcore question to crack. Let me see, a man surely loves you if he is willing to die or make sacrifices for you. I don't know if that answered your question.

Your Romeo)

---------

(I'm not asking for a man to die or make sacrifices for me. That's the worst. I felt like I'm committing murder unintentionally. Your answer is so deep to understand. Is that the only way for a man to show he loves me? If he dies, how are we going to live happily?

Sorry, I'm really naive when it comes to this.

Beauty)

(I really don't know how to answer you. If it were me, I won't let anyone harm my girl, but I still want to live my life happily with her.

Honestly, I'm also innocent about this. You better ask someone more experienced.

Your Romeo)

---------

"Oh Beauty, how I wish I can tell you now that I'm Your Romeo." Clarence stared at Beauty's photo on his laptop wallpaper.

. . . . .

Beauty was touched with Your Romeo's last message. "Will Clarence do the same for me?

"Should I ask Bro Sean? I can't ask Papa, or else he will tease me badly ... or Mama will instantly come here and dig out the truth from me. Hmm ... oh, my, I haven't gone home yet. I haven't told them I'm back, too. I should ask Boss Clarence if I can go home." She was talking to herself as she laid her head on her pillow until she yawned, found by slumber.

. . . . .

As of this moment, a noise blared online. In the chat room of Broad Ridge School of Arts, a photo was uploaded, and a caption is written on it: 'A poor girl clinging on a rich boy to climb the social ladder.'

Ameliasweet: You already have 10 girlfriends. Don't add more to the list.

GuyChev: Whoa, my good friend is dating now?

2000Cutey: Heck, I wanna date him, too! Using only her face to tempt Clarence? She is not worthy of him! I will upload this photo to the Culinary Org. chat room!
