I Hate Systems

769 Immortal Arrives

"Freedom!"

"Freedom!"

"Freedom!"

Like a domino effect, the word echoed throughout the world and even passed on to the monsters, allowing them to break free of the control of the Dungeon Monster System.

As Domino Plottopia had already been stealing this power, she was able to subsidise it, giving power to the monsters that wished for this too.

The majority of Hunters and Dungeon Monsters that were weak, having no hope of ever improving were the first to voluntarily break free from the power system.

As for the strong that stubbornly clung to the old power system, Yecha and those under her took care of them, dispatching them throughout the world in one full swing.

The Secret Society had already taken root in every nook and cranny of the world. With that, the moment they took action, both the Dungeon Monster System and Hunter System were alarmed, unable to even retaliate before the battle ended.

In the span of an hour, the entire universe fell under Domino Plottopia's control. It consisted of the human world and the dungeon monster world from where they developed and invaded the human world.

"It's done!" Yecha arrived at the rooftop of the Hunter Association building, staring at a blank wall to state.

"Great work out there." Domino Plottopia's voice resounded, appearing at the place Yecha was staring at, expressing her acknowledgement, "It seems you're even able to sense my position now."

"I've been a member of Secret Society the longest and have also been managing the majority of its functions. So, I can sense the source vaguely now." Yecha nodded in response, asking, "What should we do next?"

"Will the Dungeon Monster System and Hunter System take revenge upon us?" She asked.

"Obviously, but they wouldn't target us now." The eyes of Domino Plottopia shone with starlight as she stared at the sky, "I've already received the hint a few months ago, but it has become clearer now."

Staring at Yecha, she said, "I'll be fighting against the Systems directly now. If the situation is considerate enough, I'll bring you there to gain experience."

"Anyway, Dota will take care of the rest..." Domino Plottopia then muttered under her breath, "In the case I disappear, he'll control Secret Society."

"Wait!" Yecha shouted in alarm, staring in shock to see that Domino Plottopia had disappeared. And unlike before, Yecha was unable to sense the source of Secret Society, only able to understand that the source had gone far beyond her reach.

...

"Be careful. Maintain our blackout. Don't let the Systems detect our location." Warktor said in alarm upon watching a celestial entity under the Angel System pass through their satellite. If not for their blackout, they would have been discovered already.

The frequency of the Systems narrowing down the location of their world had rapidly increased recently, making it seem like it was only a matter of time before they were discovered.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

The sounds of someone's footsteps resounded amidst the tense atmosphere as the heads of everyone in the satellite station turned to stare at the figure of an old woman, one that wore a casual smile.

Staring at Warktor, she said, "Compass Carburettor is summoning me. It seems this is where we part ways."

"He's summoning you, already?" Warktor was shocked, "It has only been a few years since you split up."

"It seems the time has come to face the Systems directly." Gahrat massaged her forehead, letting out a sigh, "There's no guarantee that I might survive this battle. But at least..."

She snapped her finger, causing two ladies to flash next to her, "Gana and Grisha have inherited a good fraction of my power. So, they'll help protect this world in my absence."

"Truck-Kun..." Gahrat said next, watching a middle-aged truck driver appear next to him, "How's the status of the immortal world I visited last year?"

"Pretty decent I must say. The seeds you've planted are growing well." Truck-Kun said before his expression turned serious, "Did the Systems make a move large enough for Compass Carburettor to summon everyone?"

"It seems that's the case." Gahrat closed her eyes, sensing streams of information flow into her through the Main Character System, "Someone named Slayer gained control over the birthplace of Systems and offended the System World. That's the present state of things."

She then stared at Truck-Kun, "Will Immortal make his move?"

"He's the only one with the power to deal with Systems among the Genre Representatives, though that power is still weak."

"I'll persuade him and the rest to take action." Truck-Kun said, "Though, I cannot guarantee what they might do."

"I'm fine with that." Gahrat said as her figure vanished, "As long as Compass Carburettor is alive, more Main Characters would be birthed, even if the rest of us are killed."

...

Gaider Realm!

Seated on the shores of an island was Hazen, laughing happily as his hands were linked with the villagers of Hazen Village as they danced around a bonfire.

Suddenly, his expression collapsed as he extricated himself from their hold and crouched on the ground, grunting in pain, "Aaargh!"

"Hazen!" Alika shouted in alarm as she rushed to his rescue, propping him up to see veins dancing on his forehead erratically, "W-What is happening to you?"

"Is it like before?" She asked in a hurry, wondering if Hazen had to force himself to do something once again.

"This time, it's different." Hazen said, grunting as he endured the pain, bellowing in response, "STOP SUMMONING ME!"

Immediately after, the protruding veins on his forehead subsided as he panted in response, speaking after a minute had passed, "I'm...part of a parcel. And the core of this parcel is now summoning all the parts."

"W-Will you leave me then?" Alika asked, tearing up immediately in response.

"No, silly." Hazen smiled in response as he gently patted her head, "He can only try to call me. I'm strong enough to avoid the call."

"Besides," Hazen's expression turned serious, "I won't participate in a war, irrespective of the effect it might originate from or the cause it strives towards."

"You sure?" Suddenly, an omniscient voice resounded, startling everyone as an instant later, everyone in the village prostrated subconsciously, feeling that the true deity of their world had arrived.

The deity wore Taoist robes, sporting eyebrows and a moustache that dangled like dragons as his scaly eyes stared at Hazen, "You cannot go against your fate, Hazen."
