"Gosh, I'm really nervous. How do I look?" I said as I jumped up and down the living room to calm myself while showing my outfit to Zee and Jiwoo.

Tonight was the night where I would surprise my wife after she performs on Music Bank. We had no schedule today since PD-nim wanted us to take a break. Aside from filming this morning, I had nothing to do the entire afternoon. I tried to keep myself busy by working or trying out some new songs but I couldn't get my mind out as to what I can do to help bring Dahyun and I closer. I didn't want this marriage to fall apart even before it started.

The problem was that I didn't know where to start. She's too concerned about my ex-crush. She doesn't really see that I only have eyes for her now. I've been asking her members to give me some tips but according to them, she really is a tough cookie so I really needed determination and perseverance to break that cookie. Consistency is the key. I just have to be on the aggressive side since she's in a passive state.

"You'll be fine, hyung. But please… can you move? We're trying to play here." Zee said as he desperately tried to see the Holographic screen behind me.

Jiwoo rolled his eyes. "Why are you even wearing black? Are you mourning the death of your marriage? It barely even started."

Zee noticed it and scoffed. "What are you wearing? A leather jacket? Really? It's almost summer. It was cold a few days ago but it's almost summer. Wear a gray blazer or a gray trench coat instead of a leather jacket. Then wear a white V-neck shirt inside. It'll look great."

Jiwoo nodded in agreement. "You're entire outfit right now screams 'I hate my life'. The pair of black skinny jeans are the only thing that's keeping your outfit of the day alive. Use my white sneakers later on. Seriously, for someone who's rich, your clothes are quite in the opposite spectrum."

"Shut up. My clothes are not trashy." I rolled my eyes.

Jiwoo raised his hands in surrender. "Hey, your words, not mine."

"Hyung, you look terrible. We're taking you to shop one of these days. And you can't say 'No' to it. Seriously hyung, you look like an old man. You're embarrassing me. To think that you're just a year older than me. Not cool." Zee mocked as he shook his head and then sighed.

"I'm not getting you the pre-release version of that brand new gaming console from my company if you keep this up." I nonchalantly said.

"Wow hyung! You look awesome!" Jiwoo suddenly changed his temperament.

"Are those new?! Where did you buy it from?!" Zee followed suit.

I sighed. "I guess I really look terrible."

"No duh." Zee bluntly said.

"Just change into what we've told you to change into. Please? You'll thank us later." Jiwoo said as he unpaused their game.

"Fine! Fine! Let's just get this over with." I told them.

After a few minutes, I went back to the living room to show them how I look. "How about now?"

They gave a quick glance and then went back to gaming, and then quickly snapped their heads back to me as their eyes widened in surprise. Zee's mouth fell wide open. "Wow… hyung."

"It looks simple… but it really looks good on you." Jiwoo seconded.

"Really?" I asked just to be sure.

Jiwoo nodded. "You should get your hair done today."

"Do I need to?"

"Yes! Now go!"Both of them yelled at the same time.

"Alright then. If you say so. I'll get going now. Stay out of trouble." I reminded before heading out the door.

"JayB-ssi! You're here!" Go Youra, the director for We Got Married, said as soon as I got out of my car.

We were finally at Music Bank's studio. To be more precise, we were at the parking lot since according to our talk on the phone, Twice was still having their camera rehearsals so it would be risky to get inside now. The crew already informed the event staff that there will be filming here today for copyright issues and for security reasons as well. It was also to inform other people not to tell Twice members that we were here.

"Youra-junmoonim, good evening. How have you been?" I said as I bowed deeply towards her.

She chuckled. "Good evening to you too. I've been well. Please, call me Youra. We're going to be working a lot from now on."

I smiled. "Youra-ssi it is."

"So how are you feeling today?" She said while handing me a mission card.

"Now that I have this, I'm feeling extremely nervous." I admitted.

Youra laughed at how honest I was. "Just relax. This is for YOU after all. Alright. Just pretend you got that before today. Alright? We'll start filming in 2 minutes."

I gave her a nod before she went to the crew to check on a few things. I went back to my car and tried calming myself down. This is actually it. I just hope that last night's fiasco won't affect today's filming. After all, she made it clear that this was just for popularity's sake. But I don't want that. I promised to take this marriage seriously. That was the reason I agreed to do this show in the first place.

While in between my thoughts, Youra's secretary knocked on the window. "JayB-ssi. We'll start now. Are you ready now?"

I chuckled. "I don't reall have a choice. Let's go."

She chuckled at my response as I got out of my car and begun reading the mission card about the surprise. A bunch of security guards then huddled closely to me before we started making our way to the building. There were a lot of security checks since there were many groups that were having their comeback today. It didn't take long for us to attract much attention from the people working there. But per order, they were going to stay quiet. There were some new groups who greeted me along the way. I recognized some of them from the previous world, others were from this world's idol groups. It was a short walk and finally, we arrived in my assigned dressing room for today.

"You'll be staying here, JayB-ssi. There's a gift basket in case you get hungry. If you need anything, we're right outside." The secretary smiled.

I returned a smile of my own. "Thank you. Please take it easy. I won't be asking for anything much."

After a few exchanges of pleasantries, I was left inside the room with a handful of camera crew who were filming everything that I did. I became uncomfortable about it since I didn't know what to do. Should I act relaxed? Or should I look nervous? I actually didn't know. In the end, I decided to google about my wife while talking out loud. The camera crew captured everything about it.

"She's really pretty in these pictures. But she's much prettier in person." I smiled as I scanned through her Instagram.

"Should I give her more parts in their songs next time? It would be great if people would see how beautiful she is. Maybe not. Her members might think I'm playing favoritism." I chuckled.

Just then, a couple of familiar faces went inside my dressing room which startled me as they laughed out loudly. "YA! You guys startled me! What are you doing here?"

"We heard that you were in the building and were asked to keep quiet about it. We wanted to see for ourselves if it was true." Jimin said.

Wheein took a picture of me before she laughed loudly. "Ya! JayB-ya! You look really good today! You should dress like this more often."

"What's wrong with the way I dress before?" I asked.

Minhyun rolled his eyes. "You really have no fashion sense whatsoever. I'm just thankful that JYP has such outstanding stylists."

I scoffed. "Whatever. Anyway, thanks for coming over. I'm feeling less nervous now."

Wheein patted my back. "Congratulations on your marriage, JayB-ya."

"Thanks, Wheein-ah." I gave her a hug.

"Ya… you shouldn't be giving hugs to any women." Jimin warned.

I chuckled. "But Wheein-ah is not 'Any' women."

Minhyun then sighed. "JayB-ya, think of what your wife would feel. You're married now. Besides, I can't even believe that you see Wheein-ah as a woman."

"YA! Do you want to die?!" Wheein chased Minhyun inside the room.

"10 minutes before Twice performs, JayB-ssi. You should go now." The secretary peeked through the door to remind me about the plan.

It was simple. While the girls were out, I would prepare the drinks, the food, and some decorations inside their dressing room. Once I was done, I would go and watch their performance, and record a fan video of my wife while she was performing. Once they would return to their dressing room, I would pop in with cake. Fairly simple, but I was praying that I'd pull the surprise off. I'd do whatever I can to break that hard shell of hers.

"You better get going bro." Jimin said before he smacked my back.

"Our baby boy is finally growing up." Minhyung teased.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm off now. Enjoy your promotions!"

__________

"There… all set up. I think I can still make it in time for their performance." I said as I placed the last dessert in the small fridge.

Everything was ready now. All I have to do is take a video of their performance and comeback to surprise them. The thought of it makes me feel excited. I just hope she'll see that I'm not doing this for the show, but to win her heart. I don't want to play a losing game when it comes to this relationship.

"JayB-ssi, are you done? 3 minutes before they start performing." The secretary reminded.

"I'll be right there." I replied as I took a camera from my backpack before heading to the side of the stage. They were already up on stage and were listening to the final instructions by the director. My eyes were solely fixed on her the entire time. She already looked amazing without any make-up on and she looks even better with make-up on. Right now, my wife was the most beautiful person up on stage. It made me smile widely.

"Enjoying the view?" Jisoo teased.

"Ah? I uh… I was just... just observing." I replied shyly.

She raised a brow at me. "Uhuh… well, I'll be with my members. Enjoy watching your wife perform JayB-ya. Make her happy."

"I will. Do your best on stage." I encouraged.

She chuckled as she walked towards the rest of the Blackpink members. "I plan to. Say hi to Dahyun-ie for me."

"Will do." I replied.

My gaze went back on the stage again as they were now getting ready to perform. I lifted my camera and started recording their performance. I felt so proud watching her perform their song. The fans already memorized their fan chant for "Knock Knock" and they're doing a great job in supporting Twice. They finished their performance without any mishaps and I felt all giddy inside because Dahyun really did a great job.

I felt a tap on my shoulder as I was reviewing the footage which made me turn my attention to the person. "JayB-ya, it's time to head back. Twice is already making their way towards their dressing room."

"Oh, right. Thank you, Secretary Kim." I thanked her before quickly making my way over to their dressing room.

Before I got there, I saw them staying outside their dressing room for a few seconds. I hid behind one of the boxes nearby in order for me not to be seen. The secretary also handed me the cake as the other staff lighted the candles.

"What's this?!" Sana-ya's voice echoed from the dressing room.

"I guess that's my cue." I told the secretary as I made my way towards the dressing room. The rest of crew followed me as I entered the room. As soon as I did, Dahyun's members began squealing and hiding form me because they were too excited and were having goosebumps from the surprise. Dahyun's face was in shock. It was as if she was eyeing me angrily, but as soon as she saw the camera crew from We Got Married, she quickly went into character.

"Surprise?" I muttered as Momo got the cake from my hands.

She went over to Dahyun and handed it to her. "Ya! Your husband's here! Say something!"

"Hi, hubby." As soon as she shyly said that, the rest of the girls began squealing again.

They soon gestured for us to sit down on the couches. Dahyun and I were seated together as she sat on a single couch as I sat on the arm rest. I felt really shy for the first time ever in front of Twice. Is this how it feels to meet your in-laws in real life?

"What's this JayB-ya? What's with the surprise?" Nayeon asked.

"I wanted to drop by and show my support to you guys since it's your comeback. I also wanted to see my wife perform." I nervously answered which still made the girls curl their fingers from the excitement.

Dahyun then turned to me. "Didn't you say that you had a busy schedule today?"

I smiled wryly at her. "About that… I lied…"

Her eyes widened in surprise as she pouted sadly while hitting my leg over and over again. "What the hell? I actually believed you and became sad over it."

"I'm sorry. I really wanted to surprise you. I didn't want to pressure you as well. I didn't come here as your producer after all, but as your husband." I told her sincerely.

She began to tear up as she pouted. "Don't lie to me again. EVER!"

"No promises." I answered back.

"So you're going to hide things and do things behind my back? I thought you were better than this." She glared at me.

I chuckled at how cute her reaction was. "I promise that when I do lie, it'll be because I want to make you happy."

"I hate to break up this happy moment, but we still exist over here." Tzuyu butted in which made the rest of the girls laugh.

"Ah right, I prepared some food for you. Please enjoy." I told them as I opened the packed food. They told me that they were craving for jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and some samgyupsal (3 layered pork) so that's what I prepared.

They gasped as soon as they saw the amount of food on the table. There were tubs of ice cream in the dressing room fridge too. They then thanked me for the food before they started digging in. It was fun to watch them eat. I took care of Dahyun first as I prepared some samgyupsal wraps for her and opened her chocolate milk for her. "Here. Eat up. You need to gain your strength for practice later tonight. PD-nim's going to probably call you later for the evaluation."

"Don't mind me. You have to eat too." Dahyun offered.

I gave her a smile. "I already ate before I came here so that I can focus on feeding you instead."

"Eyy… I think there are ants in this place. Be careful, they might bite you because of how sweet you are." Jeongyeon joked.

I rolled my eyes. "Make sure you eat well. Yo Chul-hyung will kill me if I don't feed you properly. I'll go grab the desserts."

"There's still dessert?!" Chaeyoung was surprised.

Mina then chuckled dryly. "Don't you think we have plenty of food already?"

"Nonesense. Knowing how much you guys eat after a hard day at work, you'll probably finish it all up while talking." I answered.

Jihyo rolled her eyes. "Are you mistaking us for Alpha?"

"No, I know we eat a lot, but you guys are just plain monsters when it comes to food." I joked.

Sana glared at me. "Ya! Is that how you talk to your in-laws?"

I bowed sarcastically and apologized. "I'm sorry, Auntie."

The bickering continued on as we all enjoyed the food. Dahyun also took the initiative to feed me as well despite my protesting. She would often glare at me if I refused to eat. I could even sense the other members staring at us intently and were just observing how we act. We soon finished our meal and we decided to relax a little as they begin to ask some questions.

"So… did you guys kiss yet?" Sana joked.

"Ya!" Dahyun and I yelled at the same time which made them chuckle.

Mina then leaned closer as she rested her head on her hand. "So how far have you guys gone?"

We both became fl.u.s.tered at the question. But as the man, I had to take the lead and try to calm the situation down. I gently took her hand and intertwined my fingers with hers. "This far…"

"Eyyy! This guy is smooth. Anyway, when do you plan to have your wedding?" Nayeon asked.

I turn to Dahyun who was also looking at me in confusion. She chuckled dryly. "We haven't really talked about it yet? But I prefer to have a ceremony with just the two of us."

Momo then turned to me. "How about you oppa? What type of wedding do you want?"

"Nothing in particular. Whatever my wife wants, I'll go with it. I just want us to be together that day." I said as I look straight into Dahyun's eyes. I wanted to make her see that it was sincere.

The girls begin to squeal again as soon as they saw me stare at Dahyun lovingly. Chaeyoung then blurted something out. "Dahyun-unnie, JayB-oppa is obviously head over heels for you. You should date him in real life."

The other members quickly covered her mouth as my eyes widened in surprise. I slowly turn to look at her again. "That's actually not a bad idea. What do you say wifey?"

She didn't say anything for a few seconds. She was obviously taken aback with what I asked her. After she composed herself, she cleared her throat. "Why don't we play some games?"

We ended up playing a Korean traditional drinking game called "sense game". Although we didn't drink, the punishment was still pretty much terrible knowing how these girls think. Her members were really shrewd. Since the punishment was for the loser to do a dare that the group wants, they all conspired for either Dahyun or me to lose. But due to my competitive nature, Dahyun ended up losing more often.

Dahyun then turned to me and did aegyo. "Oppa-ya?~ Will you take the punishment for me?~"

My jaw dropped when I saw how cute she was trying to be. "Uh… okay."

Her members g.r.o.a.n.e.d at how I responded but Nayeon still has her wits. "It doesn't matter who gets punished between you two. The dare is still the same."

I raised my brow at her. "Which is?"

Nayeon smirked while crossing her arms. "Give a kiss to your partner."

The rest of their members suddenly became excited. Dahyun's face fell as soon as she hears what her supposed punishment was. I slowly turn my attention to Dahyun who was averting her gaze from me.

"Come on, oppa. I know you can do it." Sana cheered.

"Dahyun-ie… will you forgive me just this once?" I then cupped her face gently before leaning in for a gentle kiss on the cheek.

"Yes! Mission success!" Jihyo exclaimed.

Nayeon bumped her shoulder with Jihyo. "What do you mean success? That wasn't even a REAL kiss! I wanted to see their lips touch!"

"You sound graphic, unnie." Tzuyu bluntly said.

They bickered for a while until we found another topic to talk about. Which was the "in-law" talk. Baiscally, they just warned me about the consequence of hurting Dahyun and to make sure that I always make her happy. I made a promise to them that I will do whatever I can to keep her happy. The filming soon ended with that as we thanked the staff for their hard work. I also started cleaning up the food and the decorations.

"Oppa… can I talk to you for a second? Privately?" Dahyun asked.

I nodded. "Sure. Let's talk outside."

We made our way to the hallway where there were less people now since the event was long over. She was being cautious as she checked if there was anyone who was listening. After making sure that there wasn't, she then turned to me. "I thought I made myself clear last night."

"You did." I answered with a straight face.

"And? Do you think I was joking?" She said as she crossed her arms.

I clicked my tongue. "You think I'm going to do that just because you said so? I won't pretend like this is all an act, Dahyun-ah."

She g.r.o.a.n.e.d. "Why can't you just do as you're told?"

"Because I want this marriage to work!" I accidentally raised my voice which made her flinch.

"Yeah. It's clearly working." She sarcastically said.

I sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm… trying to make things right between us. Okay? Will you give me a chance? Please?"

She then drew closer. "No. Now stop trying."

She then left me there as I sighed deeply.

What do I do now?

_________

"Tok Tok Tok! JayB-ssi? Are you there?" Jisoo asked in a cute tone.

A day passed from our filming and things became hectic for me immediately, I had filming from dawn to noon and had dance practice from 1PM-6PM. Now, I'm here at Inkigayo to be an MC for the show together with Jisoo and Doyoung. I'm still pretty much exhausted from yesterday. I couldn't sleep as I replayed the scene with Dahyun over my head a couple of times. This marriage was like a one-sided love which troubled me greatly.

Even before we started filming for Inkigayo, my friends and co-hosts noticed that I have been down and was not my usual self. I was always deep in thought as to how I was going to make her see that I am serious about this. I ended up coming to work half-heatedly. And the worst part is yet to come. Why? You'll know in a few seconds.

"Who is it?" I went along with the script.

"It's Kim Doyoung and Kim Jisoo. We just wanted to ask something." Doyoung continued.

I then pretended not to know. "Oh? And what's that?"

"Are you ready for our next set of performers?" Jisoo asked.

"I am! Who are our next performers for today?" I asked as if I didn't know.

Doyoung chuckled. "It's none other than, the nine angels of the sky, Twice!"

We then split up to reveal Twice altogether. Jihyo then smiled for the camera. "1… 2… 3…"

"One in a million! Hello! We are Twice!" They all greeted at the same time.

The audience roared in applause and cheers as soon as they greeted the crowd. It was so loud that my IEM vibrated. Doyoung then turned to me. "JayB-ssi, I heard that you got married recently. Congratulations."

"Thank you." I shyly bowed at him.

"Aren't you married to one of the members of Twice?" Jisoo asked.

As per cue, Mina then said her lines. "That's right. JayB PD-nim is married to our Dahyun-ie."

"Wow! Congratulations!" Jisoo said.

"So Dahyun-ssi, are you proud of your husband who's hosting this show really well?" Doyoung asked.

Dahyun took a quick glance at me before answering. "That's right. He's really good at everything that he does. It makes me feel really proud."

"Wow! Such a supportive wife! So how about introducing your comeback song to the audience just like how JayB-ssi would?" Jisoo insisted.

She then gave a nod before introducing the song and explaining what it was about. She did really well. Just like in the previous world, she really had a knack for being an MC. I was smiling while looking at her the entire time. I didn't even notice it.

"Wow! You did really well. Even JayB-ssi was staring lovingly at you the entire time." Jisoo teased.

My eyes widened. "Me?"

"You must really love her, huh JayB-ssi?" Doyoung also joined in on the teasing.

I chuckled before staring at Dahyun lovingly. "She is my wife after all."

The audience erupted into squeals and screams from the sudden interaction between Dahyun and I. After that small teasing, we decided to end it there so Twice could prepare for their performance.

I started the cue. "This has been Kimsam!"

Jisoo waved to the camera. "See you again later for Twice's performance!"

Doyoung pointed to the camera "Don't change the channel! Fighting!"

As soon as we ended, I gave my mic to the staff and walked away. I then felt a hand grab my wrist. I turn to see Momo holding it. "Is everything between you and Dahyun-ah, okay?"

I took a quick glance at Dahyun who was looking at me worriedly. I returned my gaze to Momo and gave her a big smile. "Of course! Everything's fine. Please excuse me for a while. I need to go to the rest room before the break ends."

"Ah? Yes, of course. Sorry about that." Momo answered.

I quickly made my way to the bathroom as an excuse. I'm definitely sure that I wasn't being myself today. Facing Dahyun now would only end up in a bad situation. But it felt like she wanted to talk. Enough. I should snap out of this. I'm being imm.a.t.u.r.e here. I need to be a professional especially when she's performing up on stage. I made my way back to the studio where the seats for the hosts were. With a heavy sigh, I sat down on my chair.

"You need to grow up, you know that JayB-ya?" Jisoo said as she put on some make-up.

I glared at her. "What are you talking about?"

"Obviously, you're love life's not going your way. So you're being a baby about it." She said as she snapped her powder kit close.

I scoffed. "What do you know? You don't even know the whole story."

"Enough to know that you'll screw this up if you continue to be a jerk like how you are now." She said as she stood up. She then sighed. "Look, we promised to stick out for one another. That was the pack we made with the other 95 line. I'm not saying this because you're a friend. I'm saying this because we're already like family. Okay? If she doesn't want to fix it then you better get your hands dirty by trying to fix it."

"What if SHE's the problem and not me?" I asked in a sad tone.

"Then all the more you shouldn't give up. Just give it a gentle push. Don't be too aggressive like you usually are." She encouraged.

I sighed. "Right… okay. I'll give it a shot. Thanks, Jisoo-ya."

She giggled. "Glad I could help. Well, what are you waiting for?"

"Wait, you mean now?" I asked in a confused tone.

Her jaw dropped like she was saying 'duh'. "Yes! Now, now! Go!"

Without any hesitations, I stood up from my seat and bolted towards the back stage. They were about to go up in a minute when I got there. "Dahyun-ah!"

She snapped her head towards me. She had that sad look in her eyes. Nayeon gave her a little nudge and a glare before she approached me. "What are you doing here?"

"Just hear me out. Please? It'll only take a minute." I begged.

She bit her lip as she crossed her arms. "30 seconds."

I sighed. "Okay. Fair enough."

"29... 28... 27..." She raised an eyebrow.

"I like you…" I breathed out. Her eyes widened in surprise. Before she could say anything I butted in. "You don't have to say anything. I just wanted you to know that. Okay? I like you. I promised myself that whoever my wife would be on this show, I'd treat her like a queen and love her unconditionally. Forget about that mysterious girl that everyone is talking about. YOU'RE my wife. Not her. I don't care if you push me away or if you hate me for this. But I'm not giving up on you. I'll continue to shower you with all the love, attention, and support that I can both on and off the camera."

"Dahyun-ssi! 1 minute 'til show time!" The stage manager called out. She then turned her attention back to me again. I could see that she was trying to think of what to say.

"Go. Show them what you got." I gave her a smile before I walked away.

"JayB-oppa!" She called out to me again. I turned to her as she gave me a sad look. "I'm sorry." Was all she said before she rushed to the stage.
