DOMINIC's POV

"Hey babe, how was practice?" I asked Mina as she exited the building.

Everyone was busy with their schedules. JayB was filming his scenes for his drama even though he was tired from practice. Twice and Alpha finished practicing hours ago, but since Mina's comeback was in two days, they had a lot to work on especially on their stage performance. We barely had any time to meet at this point since we were also working on our comeback. It's the first time that we tried having our comebacks just a month apart so we weren't used to this yet. Before, when Twice was having their comeback preparations, we had more time to visit them and hang out in their practice studio. It was also the same in vice versa.

Now, even if we were in the same building, we can't even see each other. Our schedules didn't match which made it worse. Even down to our days off it was still a mismatch. That's why I decided to fetch her at 12:30AM just to spend time with her. At this point, I should have been long asleep since today's practice was really tiring. Good thing JayB was out to shoot his drama so the practice wasn't more excruciating.

"Oh… hey babe… Are you sure it's okay that we'll still have dinner at this time?" She asked as she gave me a peck on the lips.

I smiled as I opened the passenger door for her. "Of course! We barely had time for each other these days. Besides, I heard from Jihyo-ya that you guys didn't have dinner yet since you were practicing the entire night."

She slowly sat down while buckling her seat. "I planned on not eating today since the comeback's in two days. I want to look really fit."

I laughed as I entered the driver's seat. "What are you talking about? You're already very pretty and very fit at that. No one can argue with me once they see those fine abs and that s.e.xy body of yours."

"Babe!" She playfully slapped my shoulder as she blushed madly.

I chuckled. "What? It's true! So don't worry about it and let's enjoy tonight. Okay?"

She rolled her eyes before leaning in to give me a peck on the cheek as soon as I started the car. "Sounds wonderful."

"What do you want to eat?" I asked her.

She hummed. "How about something lite instead? Since it's already this late."

"I guess you're craving for some ramyeon and kimbap? And maybe… some ice cream afterwards?" I raised a brow at her.

She giggled. "You know me too well."

"How is any of that 'lite' for you?" I asked while chuckling as I drove into the streets of Seoul.

She leaned her head over the window and yawned. "It's lite because I never get fat whenever I eat those things…"

I laughed as I slowed down on a yellow light. "So… is there anything else that you want babe?"

There was no response from her. As soon as I stopped on the red light, I turned to look at her and saw that she was sleeping soundly. I sighed as I chuckled at the cute angel who was sleeping beside me. I took my coat from the backseat and covered her with it. I also turned the heater on since it was cold. After taking care of her I started making my way to the nearest restaurant that was open at this hour.

I was really disappointed since I wanted to talk more but I can't blame her because she's practically drained from practice. They've been practicing since morning. It was really strenuous on their part. Still, there's a part of me that's really missing her so much even just by being beside her. But I have to be more understanding towards her. I always have and I always will. Because… I definitely don't want to lose her.

"So, like, it was really cool how the timing works! I mean, it was our anniversary for the group was the same as the filming day for Weekly Idol's Anniversary Special. It was just amazing! Plus, JayB-ya was trending all over Twitter because of the song that he composed on the spot! That had to be the ultimate challenge that he had since the themes were from different groups so it was TOTALLY a gamble!" I excitedly shared to Mina what happened during our shoot in Weekly Idol.

We were now outside a convenience store having some ice cream while I was trying to recall the events that recently happened. Mina and I had a lot of catching up to do. We barely spoke through the phone since she was either busy or was using her phone to play games or watch videos to get rid of stress. I totally understand since it's normal for idols to do that. As I was leaning on my chair while looking at the stars and just happily sharing what happened recently, I was just really pumped up to be able to finally talk to her.

"And then, SinB-ya confessed to… Babe?" I turned my head to Mina who was dozing off with the spoon still in her mouth.

I sighed as I took the ice cream lid and closed it. I went inside the convenience store to ask for a paper bag to for Mina to bring the ice cream to her dorm. I also bought a bottle of iced cold coffee. As soon as I got back, I placed the ice cream back inside the bag, and covered Mina with my coat. I slowly took out the spoon from her mouth and sat down on my own chair.

After a few minutes, she finally opened her eyes slowly. "You're finally awake."

"I wasn't sleeping. You were talking about 'Knowing Brothers'." She said as she yawned.

I sighed. "That topic ended a while back."

"Sorry about that." She lowered her head out of guilt as she rubbed her eyes.

I held her hand. "It's okay. You want to call it a night?"

"I haven't even finished the ice cream yet." She pouted.

I rolled my eyes at her before pinching her nose. "You nodded off with a spoon in your mouth, and you say that you want to finish that?"

She rubbed her nose as she gave me a playful glare. "Hey! A girl's gotta eat when a girl's gotta eat. Especially if it's ice cream."

"Well, you can eat it once you get home." I smiled at her as I stood up.

She sighed. "I'm sorry for ruining date night."

I held her hand and kissed it. "You don't have to worry about it babe. Once we're done with promotions, we can have all the time in the world again."

"Then what do you want to do after everything is over?" She asked.

Her question made me ponder for a while. "Knowing you, you'd probably don't want anything TOO fancy. So how about we go to a private resort in the mountains and relax?"

She clasped her hands together as she gasped out of joy. "That sounds lovely! My members would definitely love that!"

I frowned as soon as I heard that. "I mean… just the two of us."

She giggled as she clung onto my arm. "I know. I was just kidding."

It made me chuckle as I kissed the top of her forehead. "You're pretty much awake now, aren't you?"

She yawned as she leaned on my shoulder. "I'm trying to be, since I still pretty much feel guilty about dozing off a while ago."

I walked her to our car as I laugh it off. "Relax, babe. I want you to get some rest too. So don't worry too much about it."

We made our way to my car as I drove her back to her dorm. It was a very long and quiet drive since she fell asleep as soon as I started driving. She was an introvert, and I was the complete opposite. But somehow, we match quite well. It was truly a wonder even to our members. The most beautiful lady in the world is actually even prettier as she slept peacefully on my passenger seat.

"Time to wake up, babe. We're here." I gave her a slight nudge after I parked in front of her dorm door.

She was completely passed out as she didn't even budge when I moved her gently. Her exhaustion must have finally kicked in. It was really sad to look at her this way, but it was proof that she was working hard to give it her all for her fans. There were even times where she would practice at our studio while on break to let me see if she was improving or not. It was definitely weighty on her part.

"Babe?" I gave her a shake just to be sure but she just mumbled something before falling back to sleep.

Her unresponsiveness made me sigh deeply. I had no choice but to trouble her friends again. I dialed up one of her members. "Jihyo-ya… I'm sorry for calling this late and for waking you up."

"No, not at all. Some of us are still in the living room watching a movie. What's up?" She replied in a chirpy tone.

I chuckled as I unbuckled my seatbelt. "It's Mina…"

Before I could finish, she sighed deeply. "Is she completely passed out again? That's the second time that she dozed off on you this week."

"Can someone hold the door up while I carry her to her room?" I asked ignoring her comment.

I could hear movements over the other line. "Wait. I'll have Momo-ya open the door. I'll prepare her bed."

As soon as she said that, I hung up the phone as I unbuckled Mina's seatbelt. I slowly carried her out of the car while making sure that the car doors were locked. I made my way to their dorm door which opened as soon as I got there. On the other side was Momo leaning on the door post while smirking at me.

"Passed out again?" She asked as I walked pass her.

I nodded slightly not willing to answer. Sana walked pass the living room and saw Mina in my arms as I carried her to their room. "Tough crowd today?"

I sighed. "Yes. Is the bed ready?"

Jihyo walked out of their room while fixing her shirt up. "It's all good. Thanks again for bringing her home. I'm sorry for making you do this."

I chuckled as I went inside her room. "Of course. Who else would do this?"

I saw at how messy it was and realized that she's either too busy or too tired to even clean up. I decided to clean up a little since it wasn't healthy for someone to live in a messy place. It would affect their mood in the morning or even attract unwanted sickness. I definitely don't want that to happen to her especially since it's almost their comeback.

I went out as everyone who was awake was staring at me seriously. There was an awkward silence in the room before Jeongyeon walked in with a cup of warm tea. "Why don't you stay a while? Let's talk with the rest of members. I believe you need it after tonight."

I smiled at her. "I probably should go. It's also getting late so…"

"Stay. We insist." Sana said in a stern voice.

I sighed deeply. I think I lost count of how many times I sighed tonight. "Alright. Let's stay in the kitchen since most of your members are asleep already."

We made our way to the kitchen as we sat down and talked about a lot of things. They knew that I was really bad at showing what I really feel. I tend to keep things all to myself until it finally explodes in the end. Which I know is not healthy. Because we've hanging out with Twice for a while now, they knew that about me and were like my sisters especially at times like these.

Jihyo took a sip from her drink. "Now… spill… what's bothering you?"

"Straight to the point I see." I tried to joke around but they were all giving me serious looks so I sighed deeply. "Fine. I don't know if I'm selfish or not, but I just want a day where we could REALLY spend time, you know? I understand that we're ALL busy and that she's tired but… somehow… it makes me feel like we're growing apart."

Sana nodded. "I understand how you feel. Jeong Do-oppa and I talked about the same issue as well and we made sure to try our best to make time for each other."

I turned to look at her. "This isn't like that though. It's just… every time we're together, I feel like I'm the only one who's putting in the effort because…"

"Because you're afraid of losing her… Don't you?" Jeongyeon interjected.

Boom…

Right where it hurts.

I turn my gaze to the floor in guilt. "That's right… I'm afraid of losing her… I'm afraid that one day, she'll find someone better than me and move on. I'm afraid that if I stop trying… She'll… leave."

Momo sighed. "Dominic-oppa… do you even trust Mina-ri?"

Her question made me snap my head towards her with a questioning look. "Is that even a question? Of course I do!"

"Really? Because it sounds to me like you're making yourself look like the good guy in this relationship. We understand that Mina-ri is a little dense…" Momo paused as everyone in the able rolled their eyes which made her chuckle. "Alright. REALLY dense. But it doesn't mean she doesn't love you."

Jeongyeon patted my back. "Don't worry about it. We'll talk to her tomorrow. In the meantime, you try to get those thoughts out of your head. Okay? Mina loves you. Like REALLY loves you. She wouldn't even stop talking about how much she loves you."

"You know you're rich, right? She doesn't care about that. She really loves you for who you are. So don't even think for a second that she doesn't. Okay? Stop worrying for crying out loud." Sana assured me.

I gave them a smile. "Thanks guys. That means a lot."

"What are you doing here at this time?" A familiar voice rang out inside the kitchen as she opened the fridge.

I turned to her and smiled wryly. "Ah, Dahyun-ah… It's Mina-ri."

"Ah… out cold again? Tough night, huh?" She said as she filled her cup with water.

I sighed. "Yeah. More or less."

Sana chuckled. "What about you? I thought you were asleep ages ago?"

She sighed deeply. "I couldn't sleep."

"Still pretty much hooked up with the big day tomorrow?" Jihyo teased.

Dahyun covered her face when it turned red. "Stop it. Please… just stop it."

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked.

Jeongyeon patted my shoulder. "It's best if you don't know. You'll find out soon enough anyway."

"How about we call it a night?" Momo suggested which we all happily agreed to.

I gave them all a hug before heading out. It was already almost 3AM as I drove in the streets of Seoul back to my dorm. There were no schedules for tomorrow except practice. I should probably get some sleep when I get back, it's becoming more difficult to practice without rest these days. Since I'm a doctor, I'm quite used to the lack of sleep. But I still need to take care of my health too. Let's just sleep well tonight and worry about the rest tomorrow.

"What are you guys doing out so late?" I asked as soon as I arrived in front of our dorm.

It was when I was near enough that I saw the cameras and the crew of some show greet me. JayB and the rest of the members of Alpha then filled me in on the details and showed me the contents of the letter, and it dawned on me that today was the day that JayB was going to finally start his married life. Another thing also popped into mind.

Dahyun…

It couldn't be?

It would be too much of a coincidence, still a small smile crept up on my face with just a thought of it. I turned to look at JayB who had the most excited smile in the world as he was talking about it while inviting the crew inside. Should I tell him about who his potential wife is? No, I think surprising him would be better. Besides, it wouldn't be nice if the showrunners find out that I actually went to a girl's dorm at this time of the night.

"I can't believe that you're meeting her today! Can I come?" Zee joked.

Matt-hyung pulled his ear. "Ya… are you an idiot. They're going to film their first meeting. What are you going to do there? Huh? Besides, look at the smile of this man's face."

Zee rubbed his ear with an angry look. "I was just kidding. I mean look at JayB-hyung. He looks like he's on cloud nine!"

"What are you thinking about JayB-ya?" I called out to him.

He snapped his head at me while looking like he was high or something. "You said something?"

Seiji-hyung scoffed. "Look at him. He's too happy to even listen. What do we do with him?"

Yo Chul-hyung yawned loudly. "Just let him be. It's been a while since we've seen him this happy."

Jeong Do then shook JayB up. "Ya. Are you really that happy?"

JayB laughed which was strange because we barely see him laugh. He only chuckles. We all turned to him giving him weird looks as he smiled at us. "Why are you all looking at me like that?"

"Pinch me Zhang-ah… I think I just heard JayB-hyung laugh." Zee said as he shook Zhang who was fast asleep while leaning on him.

Jiwoo then pinched Zee which made him yell. Then Jiwoo smirked. "I guess I wasn't dreaming after all."

Zee rubbed his arm as he glared at Jiwoo. "You're supposed to pinch yourself to check, you idiot."

"You're girly scream was more than enough to let me see that this wasn't a dream." Jiwoo retorted.

"Alright, enough. Let's hear JayB-ya's plan." I suggested.

We all turned to JayB as he turned to us with a look of confusion before he smiled wryly. "I… have no plan…"

We all g.r.o.a.n.e.d as soon as he said that. He then threw his hands in the air. "I'm sorry, okay? I usually know what to do when it comes to dating… but this is my wife-to-be we're talking about here. I don't know what she likes but I want to make this super extra special."

Matt-hyung nodded. "Well, you have a point. I do know one thing the girls in this industry like."

I turned to Matt-hyung and raised my brow. "Yeah? And what's that?"

He gave me a smirk. "Since most of them are caught up in the glam most of the time, they like things that are… simple. Especially on their first dates."

Jeong Do nodded. "I have to agree on this one. I remember Sana-ya glaring at me the entire time when I took her out to a fancy restaurant on our first date. She says we stand out too much."

Yo Chul-hyung snapped his fingers which made Zhang wake up. "Right! I have a café nearby. It's a simple café. Especially for those who just want to relax and enjoy each other's company."

"That's a good idea. It's simple but not too plain." Zhang said as we all snapped our heads towards him.

"Were you awake this entire time?" I asked.

"Anyway, can you give him the details to your café Chul-ie? We all know that he tends to buy a lot. Especially when he's nervous or stressed." Seiji-hyung said.

"YA! What are you guys talking about?!" JayB retorted.

I smacked the back of his head. "Like it isn't true?"

"Why are you hitting me in the head? I might develop a tumor because of you!" He said.

I rolled my eyes. "That is so not true."

"Whatever." He muttered as he crossed his arms.

I chuckled at how clueless and cute JayB was acting which made me ruffle his hair. It's times like these that we see him like he's the maknae of the group. "I know you're going to do well."

He sighed as he gave of a worried smile. "I hope so."

"I'm going. See you guys later!" JayB yelled as he closed the dorm door.

He's finally getting married today. He couldn't even sleep properly because of the excitement and yet he has to leave at 7AM to get to Daegu in time. I also woke up early since I wanted to check on some patient records since practice doesn't start until 10AM. I was even thinking of going to the hospital and do some rounds to see how it's doing.

"Take care, JayB-ya! Don't be late for practice later!" I yelled back.

"What's with all the noise this early on?" Seiji-hyung walked in to the kitchen while he yawned.

I chuckled. "Go back to sleep. JayB-ya just left for his TV show filming."

"Really? Good for him. The dude was really excited the entire time." He said as he filled his cup with water.

He was actually right about it. I turned to look at him. "Do you have plans before practice today?"

Seiji-hyung turned to me and smiled. "Rounds in the hospital?"

"Only if you're down for it." I smirked.

He chuckled as he placed his cup in the sink. "Give me 10 minutes."

"Got it." I replied as he dashed towards his room.

Just then, my phone starts ringing. Who would call me at this time? I took my phone out to see who was calling. It was Jihyo…

"Jihyo-ya? Everything alright?" I answered the phone.

She chuckled. "It must be unusual for me to call this early given how you just answered."

"It is quite early. Your practice doesn't start until 9AM today, right? Is something wrong?" I asked her.

"That's the thing. Morning practice was cancelled. You can spend time with Mina-ri for the rest of the day since PD-nim just wants us to take the day off for the comeback in two days." She happily reported.

I pondered about it as I went through my schedule. "What about your schedule for the final mixing tonight? Do you still have that?"

"Well, we still have it later at 9PM so we're good until then." She replied.

"Is Mina-ri awake?" I asked.

She sighed. "She's still asleep. Do you want me to wake her?"

I sighed in return. "No, it's fine. Let her sleep some more. Just have her call me when she wakes up. I'll be in my hospital."

"Which one though?" She asked teasingly.

I chuckled. "The one near Gangnam. We still have morning practice at 10AM."

"Alright. You know… you really are an amazing boyfriend to her. Don't forget that. Take care of yourself." She said.

"Thanks. You too." I responded before hanging up the phone.

"Was that Jihyo-ya? Is she coming with us?" Seiji-hyung said as he fixed his coat while facing the mirror.

I shook my head in response. "Nah. She just came to inform me that their practice for today was cancelled."

Seiji-hyung then snapped his head towards me. "Then do you still want to go to the hospital? This could be your chance to spend time with her."

His words made me chuckle as I shook my head. "I'm letting her catch up on some sleep. I don't want to be that needy boyfriend."

"Well, her boyfriend has some NEEDS too. And that boyfriend NEEDS some quality time with his girlfriend." He said as he patted my shoulder before heading towards the door.

He was actually right which made me sigh. "Well, I have to adjust to her needs."

"Uhuh… say what you want, pal. But it's not making you feel any better." Seiji-hyung said as he put on his shoes. "Now what are you waiting for? Let's go!"

I snapped out of my thoughts as I went to put on my kicks. For some reason, my inner logic is somehow clashing with my emotions. It's a matter of being understanding and actually wanting. I'm just waiting for her to realize that.

"Thank you, Dr. Cane. It's nice of you to stop by and see things. I know how busy you are." The director of the hospital said.

I chuckled. "Well, this is my scope of interest after all. Being an idol is just second."

We just finished our rounds with Seiji-hyung. Although Seiji-hyung was also a doctor in chemistry, he was still pretty much interested in medicine since he works closely with it. That's why we always go together so he'll know what the people need. After finishing our rounds, we came to meet the director of the hospital who's a good friend of my family. We had to make sure that the hospital was at its top form.

"Dr. Cane, Director, excuse me for a second, I have to take this call." Seiji-hyung said as he exited the room.

After a few seconds, my phone started ringing as well. "I'm sorry, director Shin. I REALLY have to take this call. It's was nice seeing you again though."

He gave me a nod. "It's okay. Look at you all busy. Take care of yourself, Dr. Cane."

As soon as I exited his room, I immediately answered the call. "Hey, babe. You're awake. How was your sleep?"

"I'm really sorry! I nodded off again! And you had to carry me to my room… AGAIN! This is so embarrassing." Mina yelled from the other line.

I chuckled at how cute she was. "Don't worry. It's fine. It's not the first time I was inside your room anyway."

"H-Huh?! You don't have to say it like that!" She said all fl.u.s.tered.

She really is cute when she's all embarrassed. I then cleared my throat to change the topic. "So what's up? Did you eat already? Make sure you don't skip breakfast."

She sighed. "I already ate… I just wanted to call and apologize. Jihyo-ya also told me about your concerns. It would be great if we get to talk about it in person."

I chuckled. "I told them not to worry about it. You shouldn't too. I understand that you're busy during the day and then you're physically exhausted at night. So you don't have to overthink things. Just focus on your comeback for now."

There was silence over the other end before she spoke. "You're an amazing boyfriend… you know that? I feel really fortunate to have you by my side."

I was taken aback by what she said. It made me feel secure and warm inside. "Where did that come from?"

She giggled. "Don't mind me. I just feel like saying it today of all days. And hey…"

I them hummed. "Hmm? What's up?"

"You know that I love you very much… right? Like so SO much." She said in a worried tone.

I chuckled. "It's the first time I heard you say that. But I DO know that you love me. And I love you too."

"Really? It is? Huh… I thought I said it many times now." She pretended to be ambiguous which made me chuckle.

"Well… it doesn't matter who said it first. I'm just glad you said it." I told her sincerely.

"I know it's not okay for you, babe. I know I've been really selfish. You know that this is my first time being in a relationship so I'm practically clueless about this." She honestly explained herself.

"And I can't blame you for it. We ARE each other's first so it is a bit difficult." I replied.

She giggled. "Whatever. According to your members, there were always a bunch of girls surrounding you even before you debuted."

I smiled wryly. "Well, they can surround me all they want, but my heart's already been taken. Besides, I never went out with anyone because I had to make sure that when I DID date, the person that I'm dating would be the first AND the last. And I'd do whatever it takes to make and keep her happy. Even if it means losing mine."

There was silence over the other end of the line. I was a bit worried. "Hello? Babe? Are you still there?"

She giggled again. "Hey... ah... yeah... so... no one's home right now. And I REALLY want to apologize properly. Do you... want to come over?"

My eyes widened in surprise. "I'll be right there."
