JAYB's POV

"Wake up, Dom. We're about to start." I gave Dominic a nudge as he slowly stood up from the couch.

It's been 4 days since NYC KCON. Throughout that that time we were in so many TV shows, featured in YouTube channels, and went on different late night shows. It actually made me lose count as to how many there were. It's actually been 4 days as well since Victoria-noona and Yo Chul-hyung fought and… broke up.

That was one of the scariest and heartbreaking moments of my life. No wonder noona was so calm when Yo Chul-hyung told her about the dare. She was already planning to break up with him after their announcement. I've never seen Yo Chul-hyung cry like that before. It was the first time we've ever seen him like that, and what's worse was we didn't know what to do.

But all that time, Jeongyeon actually stayed by him and cared for him. Even though he had thrown tantrums and would not eat nor go to our schedules, Jeongyeon stayed with him and helped him throughout. It was really weird to watch. I've never seen her do that before. But after 2 days of doing it, Yo Chul-hyung started to reciprocate her actions. It was like they were turning into a couple. I'm probably just imagining things.

There's another piece of good news that made us happy. Adidas decided to call us the day after KCON to meet with us. Apparently, their CEO went with his kid to the event and saw us. They even saw how we attracted the crowd. So he wanted to come meet us for a surprise.

Little did we know that it was one of the biggest surprises that we could ever get. We just struck a deal with Adidas and they wanted to be our first brand sponsor. The CEO then approached me and told me that he recognized me. We discussed it a bit more and came to new terms wherein we would also be including Twice in the sponsorship.

In fact, they also added that we would be having our own style for the shoes. When Jiwoo heard this, he immediately brought his iPad out. He said that he dreamt of the day that he would be sponsored by Adidas so he made a design. He showed it to us and even explained the materials needed for the shoe and the effect for it. When the CEO heard it, he chuckled and said that the prodigy of sports actually created a perfect shoe for dancers and performers. Well other than that, we also LOVED the design. It looked so cool! It was black with accents of Blue and Violet which was our colors.

Jiwoo also said that there was a "Twice" version of the shoes. He started changing it quickly to their colors. White with accents of pastel pink and sky blue. It was really cute and cool.

The CEO nodded in confirmation and asked if it already had a name. He said that it was called AT9. Meaning Alpha Twice 9 since we have 9 members in both groups. Then he starts joking that since it has some retro feels to its modernity, it looks like it's from "89". Get it? AT9 and 89? Well whatever.

Days later, we're now here at the studio to have a photo shoot and with a commercial shoot with the members of Twice for the shoe brand. Honestly, they could not believe that they got a sponsorship deal when they were still rookies. But we assured them that it's because they deserved it. Now that a lot of old groups have retired, the new age was starting to begin.

"JayB-ya… when are we going to have our day off again?" Seiji-hyung starts complaining once again.

I rolled my eyes. "Once we're done with our schedules."

"Does that mean that after we shoot this CF we'll be free?" He asked all excited.

Matt-hyung patted his back. "I doubt it. The next thing we know we'll be busy recording for our next album, or being a guest on some show or something."

Seiji-hyung pretended to cry. "JayB-ya… please don't make us do more work."

I laughed. "Well… it really is up to PD-nim."

He rolled his eyes and g.r.o.a.n.e.d. "We all know that you can do MORE than that."

"Ya… just finish getting ready. We're about to start." Yo Chul-hyung nagged.

We rushed ourselves as soon as he said that. We definitely don't want to get on his bad side these days. Even Matt-hyung is steering clear from that.

"I still can't believe that they were able to manufacture these shoes in just two days." Jeong Do said as he was tying his shoe.

Jiwoo then leaned on a wall beside him. "I know. I was even shocked when they showed it to me last night. I tested it and it really fit the description that I explained to them."

"We're starting in 5." One of the producers said as he opened the door to our dressing room.

"Eat up, Chaeyoung-ah…" Zhang happily smiled as he placed some of the good food over on Chaeyoung's plate.

Twice and Alpha were in a large table in a restaurant. Lunch was finally served. We had two hours to enjoy lunch before we continue shooting for CF. The morning shoot was mostly for the photos and the poster covers. This afternoon was for the commercial itself. We would be shooting individually so it would take much time. We were going to shoot it simultaneously. Now, our minds were just heavily set on the food right in front of us.

Seiji-hyung was looking at them dazedly. "Wa… I still can't believe that after all these years, Chaeyoung-i was your mystery girl."

Chaeyoung giggled. "I know, right? I thought that Shen-ah was just a snob."

Jiwoo then choked. "Did she just call you, 'Shen-ah'?"

Zhang froze before he said, "Yeah… she doesn't know."

"Know about what?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Her grandmother used to call him that, and ever since she died, he didn't want anyone else calling him that." Jeong Do said before he took a bite of the steak he was having.

Everyone else didn't say a word. Chaeyoung must have felt guilty since she was playing with her fingers. "I didn't know… should I just-"

"You're the only one who can call me that." He smiled at her.

"Really?" she smiled still quite unsure.

"Uhuh." Zhang said before he stole from the food that Chaeyoung was about to feed herself with.

"YA!" She screamed which made everyone in the table laugh.

Sana then spoke up. "Ah… young love. Zhang-ah just found her mystery girl, and he actually had the guts to ask her out."

Zee chuckled. "Yeah, JayB-hyung. How about you? When are you going to ask her out?"

Everyone turned their heads towards Zee. This clumsy guy almost revealed the mystery girl. Obviously he was referring to someone who was on the table with us because he motioned her head towards… HER.

"Ya. Don't join in on the a.d.u.l.ts when they're talking, Zee-ya. Just eat your food quietly." Matt-hyung smacked Zee's back which sounded painful.

"Ah! Hyung! That hurt!" Zee yelled which made everyone erupt in laughter again.

Jeong Do then spoke. "Please just eat your food, Zee-ya. You might accidentally spill some secrets. I'm sure JayB-ya's not that slow."

"But you are..." Yo Chul-hyung muttered under his breath while he was playing with his food using his fork. It was still loud enough for everyone to hear.

Everyone's attention was on Jeong Do now which made him fl.u.s.tered. "I am not."

"Oh yeah? Then why aren't you asking out the girl you've been quietly stealing glances from?" Zee rebutted.

Jeong Do stared at him with a blank expression on his face. It was the scariest thing ever. If a stare could kill, Zee was probably dead a million times over.

"S-Sorry… J-Jeong Do-hyung." Zee stuttered.

But to our surprise, Jeong Do did something that no one else thought he'd do. "Fine. I guess I should."

He slowly stood up while everyone stared as to where he was going. He stood behind Sana which made Sana turn to face him completely. Jeong Do was slowly turning red as a tomato. "Sana-chan… I… uh… would you-"

"Yes." Sana responded which made everyone's jaws drop.

I never thought she would actually say yes now. Sana has been telling me how she's been crushing on Jeong Do but she feels like she doesn't deserve him. It was just a kind of hidden love. Jeong Do on the other hand told us that he was crushing on a trainee but didn't tell us who. I guess it was Sana after all.

We all cheered for the two of them. My members are finding pairs left and right, and yet here I am still single. It's funny how this works. Jiwoo and Tzuyu, Zee and Yuna, Zhang and Chaeyoung, and Jeong Do and Sana. It's nice to see them happy though. They've been focused with their businesses and on our career that they didn't really make time for their love life. It's good to see them living their lives like this.

The manager soon called for us and we quickly packed up and went with them. Since there were a lot of us, the company decided to shoot the individual shots in three different locations.

Zee, Jiwoo and Zhang were going with Tzuyu, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung to Central Park. They were in charge with the outdoor shots. I think they'd be doing the physical work, jogging and all.

Jeong Do, Dominic and I were going with, Sana, Mina and Momo to the Empire State Building. Based on what the plan was, we'd be showing the casual side of the shoes. For everyday use I think. So they'll be walking in the streets of New York a lot especially in front of the building.

Yo Chul-hyung, Matt-hyung and Seiji-hyung were with Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Nayeon to the studio that we booked. They were shooting indoors. They'll be using CGI for their shoot which I think is pretty cool.

There was a lot of work to be done so we immediately went into our vans with the Twice members and headed for the site. After arriving, we immediately went inside our separate trailers to change into the clothes that the designers and our stylists have agreed on.

Hence, the rest of the afternoon became really busy…

"Wa… You really look good, JayB-oppa!" Momo yells as soon as I finished my part. I was the only one left to shoot for our part. It was really tiring since I had to break dance a few times. It was fun though, but a bit tiring. I didn't even get to do any warm ups.

Oh well…

The eldest line came over to our set because they finished their shots early. Theirs were a lot easier because they were just asked to do some motions and the CGI would do its job. That's why they finished early and decided to come over and tease some of us while we were working. It was always like this, we would make fun of each other and sometimes the directors would often scold us for not being professionals at times. But in the end, when we become serious and try to perfect our shots, we usually do it in one take.

Well, it took us a while though…

"Thanks, Momo-ya. Did you enjoy your shoot?" I asked.

She giggled. "I had fun actually. These shoes are really comfy. I think I might buy one."

I bump her head slightly with my first. "Silly girl, since we're endorsing these shoes, we'll already get two pairs each."

Her mouth fell agape. "Really?! I didn't know that! Can w-"

"What do you mean he's in trouble?!" Seiji-hyung yelled. He was on the phone with someone. His face turn pale as he remained there silently. Finally, he ended the call as he told the person on the other line that he'll be heading to where that person was.

"Yo! Who was that?" Dominic asked.

Seiji-hyung gulped as he said, "It was Zhang-ah. He said that Jiwoo-ya's in trouble."

"What do you mean? What the hell happened?" Matt-hyung said as the rest of the members of Alpha who were present starts approaching him.

Seiji-hyung then got one of the managers and told him that they have to go to the maknae line's site. He then turned to us as the manager scrambles to get his keys. "I'll explain on the way. We better go. NOW."

We turn to look at each other and just went with him without saying anything. I just hope that Jiwoo is alright.

"Ya! Lee Jiwoo! Stop!" I yelled as soon as we arrived in the site for their commercial shoot. He was on pinning an American man on the ground and was beating him. I think he was one of the directors assigned for this set. The managers and security personnel were thrown away by him every time they came near him.

Tzuyu was sitting down on a chair while Dahyun and Chaeyoung were comforting her. The rest of the members of Twice went over to comfort Tzuyu and see what was going on.

"You son of a bitch! How dare you?!" He yelled in fury as he punched the guy for the nth time. The guy was practically almost unrecognizable. The people in the park were asked by the security to keep clear to avoid any scandals that may arise.

Matt-hyung went calmly to Jiwoo and grabbed his shoulder. Jiwoo was about to retaliate but when he saw Matt-hyung with his threatening look he let go of the guy and slowly stood up.

"Hyung… I… I couldn't…" He began crying. Matt-hyung grabbed the back of his head placed him over his shoulder to cry. His face was calm, but the rest of the members of Alpha knew that he was beyond angry now.

Jiwoo tried to say something to him as I tried to approach them. "I'm sorry, hyung… I tried to save her…"

I patted Matt-hyung's back, "He wouldn't beat up anyone for no reason. Jiwoo HATES violence. He wouldn't even harm a fly."

I could feel Matt-hyung's anger shoot up. "I know. That's why I tend to find out what caused him to act this way. We'll find out about the truth."

"Well, I do." Zee spoke up as he approached us with his laptop on hand.

The man who was on the ground a while ago slowly stood up. His feet was wobbly and his balance was failing him. He then shouted at us. "YOU! I will SUE you! ALL OF YOU!"

Zee smirked and scoffed. "The only SUING that'll happen is from us. You see, when I was out hacking every phone in a 1 mile radius to see if anyone was able to record what happened here and delete the videos, but I encountered a REALLY disgusting video."

He showed us a clip of a video from inside the women's trailer. Tzuyu was getting dressed when this guy went inside and tried to force her. We could hear Tzuyu screaming and trying her best not get touched by the man. About a few seconds later Jiwoo flies through the door and throws the man out. Jiwoo then searched for the nearest cloth to cover Tzuyu with it. He then went out to beat the guy.

"Zhang-ah said he heard screaming coming from Tzuyu's trailer and I realized that she… wasn't out yet. When I went over, the screaming and the rattling noises became louder. That's when I…" He tried to explain with a heavy heart before he started sobbing.

"That's enough, Woo-ya. You did great. You saved your girlfriend." I said as Tzuyu also had the courage to stand up and go over to Jiwoo to comfort him. Both of them were crying.

I slowly went over to him as he began to throw insults and curses at me. I didn't bother doing anything until he tried to escape. Yo Chul-hyung tripped him over which made him desperately try to crawl away. I grabbed his collar and socked him right in the nose.

"Matt-hyung… I know you've been dying to hit him. You can beat him up. But don't kill him. The rest of you can have a punch at him. Let Matt-hyung take care of the rest." I said in a dark tone.

Everyone else aside from Alpha shivered at what I said.

We sat everyone down and asked Jiwoo to bring out the nondisclosure contracts. We briefed them about who we really are and what we were capable of doing. As soon as they heard that, there was silence. After they signed the agreement, the police arrived and took the guy away. We gave them the video as evidence.

It was already a heavy atmosphere so we decided to rent the entire park to ourselves and have barbecue. Surprisingly, it was easy to do so. So we placed a couple of tables near the trailer and started to barbecue.

We tried our best to relieve the tension that they were feeling. We also treated them to some drinks which made all the people involved in the shoot happy. After watching that everybody has finally forgotten what happened today, I took a walk inside the park to clear my head. Jiwoo and Tzuyu were still a bit out of it, but they were slowly opening up and were smiling at least. I continued to walk a bit more. Seeing that there was a vending machine nearby, I got a soda and sat down at one of the nearby benches.

Suddenly, someone tapped my shoulder. I turn to see Mina smiling at me. "Mind if I join you?"

I gave her a smile of my own. "Not at all. Come. Sit."

She sat down beside me and we were sitting there in awkward silence. "So… the prodigy in business, huh? And I thought that you just had the same name."

I chuckled at what she just said. "Is that how you start a conversation?"

"I didn't know how to start, okay? I'm getting nervous just by sitting beside you." She said as she slightly turned red from the embarrassment.

We sat there in silence not knowing what to say to each other. It was like she was afraid to tell me what was on her mind.

"I'm sorry… for not telling you. It was too much of a risk." I spoke up.

She giggled. "I'm just glad that you're not a mass murderer."

"I could be." I told her.

She turned to me in a shocked expression which made me laugh. "I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Sheesh. Relax. Will you?"

"Thank you for making us feel safe." She said in a low volume that I could barely hear.

"You're welcome. Of course, I'll protect you guys whatever it takes!" I said with a cheeky smile before turning to gaze at the stars

She then asked, "Do you mean that?"

I nodded not breaking off from where I was staring.

"Hey JayB-oppa?" She then called out to me.

"Hmm? Wha-" I could not finish my question…

Because Mina Sharon Myoi…

Just kissed me.
