“Your task is very simple, you only need to choose a dark and windy day on which to look evil and scary, and with fire streaming out of your mouth, roaring the whole way, you will appear in front of as the most fearsome image—” As she spoke, Princess Hathaway became more and more impassioned and stood up from her seat, rolling up her sleeves to continue even more passionately:

“This humble lady will be waiting for you in the castle, evil dragon-xiansheng.”

Bai Zhi: “…”

“That…that…” A certain demon thought for a while, and felt that breaking the princess’s innocent fantasies would still be pretty brutal: “I don’t actually know how to–”

A series of footsteps was suddenly heard. Before Bai Zhi could even finish his sentence, the sound of a door opening came from the mirror. The golden-haired princess immediately turned off the magic mirror, laid down sideways on her bed, looked at the sky and put on a melancholy appearance.

The little maid who had come to clean: “Today the princess is also peaceful and kind.”

Yet on the evil dragon’s side–

“Uncle, what does she mean by ‘breathing fire’?” Bai Zhi scratched his head, unable to come up with a solution: “How am I supposed to ferociously kidnap someone.”

Bai Zhi: “…why does this sound so ridiculous.”

The system was angered: “Then solve it by yourself, thank you very much.”

Bai Zhi instantly apologized: “Then then then let’s do that.”

After the demon and system discussed the problem of how to present themselves for a long time, the system painstakingly painted Bai Zhi’s claws black. In the end, to let Bai Zhi meet the gong of his dreams as soon as possible, the two decided to secretly head into the castle that night.

Bai Zhi conjured two dragon wings with a swoosh and flew towards the sky, his heart full of fascination at this novelty:

“Okay.” Hearing this, Bai Zhi was relieved. He then flew energetically towards the castle. 

The castle’s layout was not complex. Using the map drawn by the princess, Bai Zhi and the system very easily……got lost.

“This princess’s drawing technique sure is impressive.” The system was so frustrated it ate the map in one bite: “We might as well have used my own navigation in the first place!” 

“Then can we use your navigation now…?” Evil dragon Bai Zhi looked at the pitch-black sky, and quietly said: “The sky is so dark, it’s scary.”

“Even I myself can’t detect where we are.” The system said: “Unable to navigate without location services.”

“Then…” Bai Zhi looked around in all four directions, saying: “Let’s find someone to ask.”

Meeting someone this deep in the night is what would be strange. The system was inwardly speechless and was about to say something to stop him when the voice of a stranger sounded.

“Hello there, sir, may I ask if something is the matter?”

The system who had been instantly slapped in the face: “……”

Hugging his tail, Bai Zhi very respectfully bowed to the soldier in front of him, saying in a small voice: “May I ask where the princess is?”

‘If you ask something like this we’ll be instantly seen as assassins as thrown out!’ the system was about to roar, but that guy’s voice once again interrupted his thoughts:

“Turn left just up ahead, the entrance with a crystal rose carved in the front should lead to the princess’s royal bedchambers.”

The system who had already turned to stone in the wind: …is my face not a face? 

Bai Zhi didn’t notice in the slightest that his mechanical uncle’s face was almost swollen. After he smiled at the warm-hearted soldier and finished thanking him, he very happily set out towards the royal bedchambers of the princess.

“Uncle, let’s finish the task quickly!”

System: “Don’t talk to me.”

The little demon who didn’t understand uncle’s sudden coldness: “…Oh.”

The system didn’t want to talk, and Bai Zhi didn’t insist on it. It was his first time coming to a royal palace in this kind of fairy tail-like world, and his heart was filled with a sense of novelty.

The enormous clouds were made of cotton candy, and even the air had a sweet taste to it. Bai Zhi looked around as he walked, arriving at what he just realized was a small lake.

The surface of the water shone a glassy blue, and the shimmering reflections of the lake had a fleeting beauty. Bai Zhi gazed at it for a while, and could not help taking off his shoes and sitting at the shore. He stretched out his two feet into the water, hugged his thick fat tail with one hand, and put its tip onto the surface of the water bit by bit.

He happily played around on his own and ended up increasing the intensity of his movements. His two feet swayed back and forth in the water, splashing the surface of the water in all directions, until a voice full of wariness suddenly sounded through the night: 

“Who’s there!”

Bai Zhi abruptly lifted his head. In that expanse of water illuminated by pouring moonlight, he realized that there was actually a person standing in the middle of the lake.

Deep blue eyes, thin lips, and a straight nose. With waist-length silver hair, he □□’d the upper half of his body. [1] A pair of eyes steeped in coldness were currently fixed on the trespassing Bai Zhi.

Bai Zhi’s gaze slid over him, and he couldn’t help sucking in a breath.

Even after several worlds, his target’s physique…

Was still this faultless, ah.
