Henan Zhong: Three Wooers, The Bride Is Not Ready Yet

Chapter 89 - The Fall [Lunch With The Crown Prince]

Henan heaved a sigh.

She could rest until the lunch.

If she presented herself tired he would get suspicious.

Or ask questions.

She fell asleep immediately after taking small amount of food.

Jei looked at her feet those were riddled and she knew that miss Henan was searching Prince Wan Hu all night.

She silently shed tears.

She woke Henan at noon.

She was feeling better now.

She was preparing for the lunch when a servant came to bring her to the Prince.

The Prince arranged lunch in the garden of Fourth Court, it would be easy for her walk short.

The autumn has fully embraced the garden.

But the scenery was breathtaking.

The servants were bringing large trays with full of dishes.

She wore a simple changpao with dye floral prints on the triple extra clothe hanging down on her legs. Like simple top and floral bottom.

She came while servant was guiding her way.

Prince was standing and looking at the garden when turned to see her.

'Why everyday she looks more beautiful than previous day?'

'Can a simple dress could look so much elegant?'

It seemed that autumn was swaying with her walk.

'I think autumn must be jealous to look at her dress,' he was self justifying.

He took a deep breathe.

She was hiding her bare arm with the extra cover because the shoulder was wrapped with medicated bandages.

That make him little worried for her.

"Diu pays respect to the Crown Prince," she did not bow her shoulder because it hurts.

"How is your wound? Is it feel better than before or not?" He inquired.

"It is not healing fast my Prince, I fear that it might create some problem for me, as you know I need to work in the field when I will go back," the fact was she felt difficulty in her martial arts practice, it hinder her free movements.

"That is why I brought a better medicine for you, come sit, let's eat lunch first," he gestured her to take seat.

She sat on the chair.

A maid stood there to help her eating.

She did not ask much to her tho.

She ate her food like a princess.

"She did not look like some country girl from her ways," he thought to himself.

"Is she the daughter of some Faction Lord? And hiding her identity because she did not want to go back to her house for the sake of adventures?"

He had heard that few ministers were worried because their daughters were of rebel natures.

She knew he was looking at her.

"My Prince, if someone look at me for long when I am eating, I usually suffer hiccups, and it hurts," she placed down her chopsticks and spoke.

"Ahh, I was just worried, you can carry your lunch," strange, isn't it.

She ate her full even Prince was wondering how she ate this much, but he dared not glance at her.

Both stood after lunch.

"Diu, I have something for you and it would heal up your wound too fast," he spoke first.

"Is there such medicine my Prince? Ohh, I once heard from my grandfather that there some herbs who could show magical effects in wound healing," she never saw her grandfather but if such medicine exist she would grab it.

She spoke about her grandfather because she felt that Prince was suspicious about her at the lunch table.

This could be because she never talked about her supposed to be family.

Well, just a guess.

"But he told that those herbs were rare and hard to get for poor," she was visibly unhappy.

"I have it for you and prepared one moreover, I will personally give it you by evening, within twenty four hours, you'll feel its medical effects,"

He was not exaggerating.

Few herbs were really such powerful.

Just that he wanted to make sure that she ate it according to the prescription.

He went back to his Court.

She came in her room.

"Was the Prince serious about the medicine?"

'If it was truth then,'

Now she was eagerly waiting for the evening.

If she was healed then she could plan escape before the Event of Winter.

The air was getting damp by each day that means the winter was on its way.

In the evening, the Prince came.

The herbs were in the pot and he had prepared them beforehand.

He took small amount of herbal paste and added in honey.

"Diu, you will eat the preparation in the three quarters every after twenty four hours, keep in mind, and this is the first dose," he handed her.

"You can take it with the milk if you like," he suggested seeing her expressions.

She took it with the milk.

"Now you should take rest for the medicine to work properly," he stood to go.

"My Prince, you can rest assure, the maid had learned the way so she will prepare next dose for me," she means that he should left those herbs there.

He will be busy so he left the rare herbs for her.

She wanted to give it to Wan Hu if the herbs was really with magical effects.

She would lower the quantity for herself.

"Jei carefully keep these herbs," she would only rest for an hour and then go to meet Wan Hu.

"Ohh, bring here Wei Lan immediately," she remembered that she needed to bring for him a herbal remedy which the old physician gave her when she was too much weak.

Wan Hu was in prison which resulted bad health and there was continuous torture too.

For the escape purpose he should have some strength.

Wei Lan came and prepared the liquid paste which Jei Lan saved in a small leather pouch.

Both sisters were not sure what was Henan up to.

Henan rested and wake up.

She instructed Jei and prepared just like previous night with a leather pouch hung on her waist.

She covered her head with the black hood of the dress.
