Heavenly Opposers

160 Chapter 160-Departure.

Azrail felt his mind numbing, the shackles placed on him has been broken, ever since he had awakened from within his understanding of himself and uncovered the cube, Azrail understood that the main binding of the cube was to his name, the cube seemingly placing a trap of control over him.

Hence he knew for him to truly grow, he needed to let go of his name, which would mean letting go of several other things, Azrail's mind had flashed with several paths he could take but in the end, a change in his identity was the only way to truly be free from whatever the world had in store for him, during the time he spent with Li Lun, he kept thinking about the name he could take and finally he decided upon what he wanted.

The darkened sphere surrounding him withered off, letting Azrail open to the world again, no change could be seen in his psyche, yet on the inside, he was completely different, Azrail could feel his mind sharper than ever, it felt as if a great weight had been lifted from his chest, making him feel more liberated than ever.

He gazed at the people looking at him, flashing them all a smile, he could see the people still suspended above the ground with the entire area of the estate under control, just as he told, Valencia had taken control of the situation while he marked his own new fate,

"Son, are you feeling okay?"

Lan asked as she walked up to her son, looking at him from head to toe, Azrail smiled at his mother as he spoke,

"I'm fine,"

"So Azrail? not a bad name, but what about the rest? who are D and Xavon?"

Lan asked after seeing that her son was fine,

"People I am indebted to, mother."

Azrail spoke, which brought a frown upon Lan's face,

"People I don't know about?"

She said to which only a wry smile could fill Azrail's face as he just shrugged his shoulder, which quickly earned a pinch on his ear from his mother,

"Mother, not here!"

He pleaded, but his mother didn't back down as she made sure to give a good twist of his ears, Azrail could see a smile splitting Valencia's face,

"This is what you get for keeping too many secrets from your mother,"

Lan said, hence Azrail could only nod his head, accepting the punishment at hand, he moved his gaze to the real problem at hand, taking back the control of the estate from Valencia who didn't reject to the notion. Getting control back Azrail popped the heads of dozens of people in the estate, ones that caused a lot of issues to him and his mother now and in the erased past, with one more pressure he knocked out everyone cold,

"Shall we go?"

Azrail spoke, turning towards his mother, who smiled at it, turning her eyes to Raena she asked,

"Shall we sister?"

Lan asked, to which Raena agreed, Azrail looked at his mother walking away, while a subtle smile took his face, Azrail was sure that his mother was burning with millions of questions to ask him yet she didn't ask anything, she respected his boundaries and more than that she trusted him but Azrail was sure that he was in for a hell lot of pouting from his mother.

And deep down he knew that his actions were hurting his mother deeply, he knew she loved him with all her heart, and hiding anything from her hurt him too, hence he had already promised himself to tell them the truths he knows she can handle, ones that won't cause her karmic ties to be too affected,

"Are you going to stand there forever?"

Valencia suddenly asked, taking his attention towards her. He shook his head,

"No, let's go,"

Saying so, Azrail moved forward as he caught Xuanyin's hand, who kept looking at him,

"Thanks, I think the name is good too,"

Xuanyin: "..."

"Yeah, it's cool, I guess...."

Xuanyin: "..."

"No, you can't change your name to sound like mine,"

Xuanyin: "....."

"Because it's a guy's name."

Xuanyin: "...."

"No, I won't talk to Mother about it, so forget it, and I think your name is beautiful as it is."

This caused Xuanyin to turn her head forward while the hand she was using to hold onto Azrail got harder, while Azrail clearly felt the happiness from her, just one word from him and she had let go of all of her desire to change her name,

"What made you want to change your name?"

Valencia suddenly asked as she walked beside him, not liking the fact that she was being excluded from the brother-sister talk, her super indifference had now completely been lost, at least around him she had, and Azrail couldn't even guess how this would affect the coming future as a whole,

"I just wanted to change....."

Azrail said in a light demeanor, his eyes trailing towards the veiled girl whole beauty could even astound immortals,

"Then what does the D stand for?"

Valencia asked, her question even taking in the attention of everyone else, Lan who was talking and packing away, had her ears focused, Raena crazy as she is just felt mild curiosity, while Adrea the immortal within felt extreme fear and apprehension in her heart, others might have not felt it but she could feel a pure danger and tremble in the whole Realm just when the word D was mentioned.

Her power wasn't as it was, but Adrea was a hell of sure that this tremble wasn't just confined to this realm! the tremble refeed to the fear that the entire realm was feeling! only people like her who have touched upon the world laws could feel it, but she understood the feeling. It was fear, raw primal fear!

'Just what is this being?'

Adrea knew that once that whole of the name is spoken with intent something of unknown level could take place, while she dreaded it she desired more to know how Azrail was allowed access to use such a name, without permission no one could use the name of beings that had ascended a certain plane of power,

"The D stands for a friend of mine, a very good friend, a very lonely friend,"

That is all Azrail spoke, and understanding that he didn't want to dive into it Valencia didn't ask anything more into the topic, instead, she started to ask about his trip to the legacy lands, mostly focusing on his health, Valencia was too gone in to realize how much change she is having around Azrail.

Just something within her felt so right when she stood close to him, the premature effect of her physique was already on her, making her extremely indifferent yet those walls being built melted like ice cream on a sunny day when she was near Azrail,

"Azrail, it's not a bad name,"

Valencia said,

"Thanks."

Azrael replied as they kept walking to the exit. Within 5 minutes, everything was ready, and they would be departing towards a mansion owned by Lan,

"All set?"

Lan asked, to which the kids nodded their heads, seeing so all of them boarded the carriage and headed straight to their destination, Lan and Raena talking within themselves, while as always Xuianyin took a seat on her brother's lap, enjoying the embrace, the unique one was Valencia who was silent.

Moments before boarding Azrail had spoken about how he needed to speak with her alone. His serious face had Valencia's mind playing around, her intelligence being her enemy as several different scenarios played in her mind.
