Harry Potter’s Defense Professor

Chapter 135 Find the Prophecy Ball

"It's here!"

When Harry saw the beautiful, diamond-like jumping light, he was immediately sure it was this room. After everyone's eyes gradually got used to the dazzling light here, it was clear that the dials of many clocks were shimmering. They vary in size, from grandfather clocks to travel clocks, hanging between bookshelves or standing on tables the length of the room. Because of this, a rapid, never-ending ticking fills the room, like thousands of tiny footsteps. The diamond-bright leaping light came from a towering bell-shaped crystal glass dome at the far end of the room.

"This way!"

Harry felt confident once he knew they were on the right track. He walked ahead, following the narrow gap between the tables to the light source, as he did in a dream. The bell-shaped crystal glass hood was as tall as Harry and stood on a table, and it seemed to be filled with a churning, gleaming air.

"Oh, look!" said Ginny, pointing to the center of the bell glass as they approached.

In the flickering light floated a small, gem-like egg. When it rose in the glass cover, it snapped open and a hummingbird emerged and went straight to the very top of the glass cover, but as the air flow fell, the bird's feathers were soiled again, Wet until it falls to the very bottom of the glass cover and is trapped in the egg again.

"Keep going, we're going fast to get the Prophecy Ball!" Lockhart snapped, as Ginny seemed eager to stop and watch the egg turn into a bird.

"Just look at it!" Ginny muttered discontentedly, but followed behind him, past the bell-shaped crystal glass cover to the only door behind it.

"That's it." Harry paused. "Just go through this door."

"Remus... ah no, Seamus, do you know where the Prophecy Ball is?" Lockhart shook the wand in his handshake. "Harry, do you remember where you saw it?"

"Remember, platoon 97, will it be exactly that place?" Harry thought for a while and replied.

"It seems to be in row 97, go and have a look." Lupin affirmed.

"Go in first, everyone be careful." They pushed the door in and finally found this place. It's as tall as a church, and it's lined with towering shelves filled with little dusty glass spheres, but nothing else. More candlesticks were embedded in the shelves at certain intervals, and the dim light came from above, and the flames were blue like those in the black round room. Those little glass balls gleamed faintly in the light. It's cold inside the house.

Lockhart led the crowd forward slowly, and looked down at a dark aisle between the two rows of shelves. He couldn't hear a sound, and he couldn't feel any movement, even the slightest.

"Row 97," Hermione repeated quietly beside Lockhart, "then should go this way."

"Everyone has their wands ready, and you can hide in a safe place in case of a situation." Lockhart repeated his instructions worriedly.

They crept forward along the long aisle between the shelves, glancing back from time to time, and it was almost pitch black in the distance. Small yellowed labels are affixed to the shelves under each glass ball. Some of the spheres glowed mysteriously flowing light, others were dim and dark, like extinguished light bulbs.

They walked through the 90th row, the 91st row...

"That's it, which one?" Hermione asked softly.

"I haven't seen it either. It should have Harry's name?" Lupin guessed.

"Look!" Hermione immediately lit her wand and found it on the shelf, "Let's look for it together!"

So Lockhart, Ginny, and the others joined in, lighting up their wands for a closer look. "Don't look at the ones that are so dark that they don't shine at all, I guess the prophecies about Harry will be bright.

"

"I saw it at a glance!" Ron called out to the crowd triumphantly, pointing to a small glass ball that was so dirty that it looked like it hadn't been touched in years. But the shimmer inside makes it a little shiny.

Lockhart walked over and saw the prophecy about Harry. It is written in three rows in fine lettering, the first row is a date about sixteen years ago, next: Sybill P. Trelawney to Albus Percival Woolfree Brian Dumbledore's prophecy, bottom row: The Dark Lord and Harry Potter.

"That's it."

"A prophecy about you, Harry!" Ron exclaimed. "Sounds cool!"

"Take it off," Lockhart said to Harry, "and we'll go."

"Okay." Harry nodded. Harry was not tall, and because he was a year younger, he was even about the same height as Hermione. He stood on tiptoe and held the prophecy ball down with both hands. The moment the prophecy ball left the base, Lockhart felt a faint wave of magic power, which he guessed was the security measures the Ministry of Magic had done for the prophecy ball.

"A prophecy about me," said Harry. "It feels amazing, Professor... ah no, Neville."

At this time, Lockhart acutely sensed the slight footsteps around, or more accurately, the footsteps of the people who didn't cover their footsteps at all. Behind them to the right, a languid voice sounded. "Very well, Potter, now turn around slowly and give it to me."

Careless, Lockhart secretly screamed, since the Order of the Phoenix can set an alarm spell in the Department of Mysteries, then this prophecy sphere must also have the detection magic of the Death Eaters. But the prophecy room of the Department of Mysteries is completely condensed and cannot be entered through any displacement magic. I don't know how long these Death Eaters have been hiding around?

But everything is not out of the control of the Order of the Phoenix, is it? Take the elevator outside the door and go up, at least 20 excellent wizards are waiting for the Death Eaters to throw themselves into the trap. In the darkness around them many shadows came out, blocking their way; the eyes of these men gleamed in the crevices of their hoods, and a dozen wands with shining tips were aimed at their hearts. They had been here for hours in invisibility cloaks.

Ginny held her breath in fright, and Hermione grabbed Neville's hand nervously, although it felt weird...

"Give it to me, Potter," Lucius Malfoy repeated slowly, palms up. There are a lot of people, how to deal with it, Lockhart's mind changes sharply, he regrets bringing a few unrelated children here, if he only brings Harry, Lockhart and Lupin, two professors of defense, It was a piece of cake to protect Harry from rushing out of here.
