Harry Potter: Glory of the King

Chapter 124: Snakeskin

"You were not in good shape just now?" Glory asked.

"Well, I haven't figured out something, now I want to understand." Ona swallowed the bread in his mouth. "It makes you worried."

Hermione and Glory breathed a sigh of relief, and the confident Ona returned.

They didn't think too much, after all, occasionally there would be a moment not to figure it out, but once they figured it out, then naturally there would be no problem.

The biggest news today was that Ron tried to attack Malfoy with his wand in the morning, but the wand had a problem, hit him, and spit out a lot of slugs.

Ona remembered seeing a large bucket of slugs when he went to Hagrid's wooden house to set the crossbow at noon, and couldn't help feeling cold.

It turned out that Malfoy insulted Hermione as a Mudblood, but this time Hermione and Glory stayed obediently in the tower and did not go out. Later, witnesses said that Malfoy mainly insulted Colin Crevy who was present, saying that he was Mudblood.

Ona frowned. If you want to count mudbloods, he, Glory, and Hermione are all. After the two girls knew the meaning of Mudblood, they didn't like Malfoy at all, and now they hate it even more.

Ona didn't want to eat lunch, so after he left, Harry and Ron returned to the restaurant, but they were not in a good mood-both of them were going to be locked up at night. Harry had to go to Lockhart, and Ron had to go to Filch.

In the afternoon, Ona saw Harry and Ron. The two of them went to the school hospital after lunch, but Ron's condition had almost slowed down, so Madam Pomfrey gave him some medicine. When they saw Ona, they looked unlovable.

In the afternoon, due to the lack of homework for the first week, everyone was free early. Hermione and Glory went to the library. Ona left briefly on the pretext of going to the bathroom.

He did go to the bathroom-it was the girl's bathroom on the second floor. Because there was a crying Myrtle, no one wanted to use it, so there was a big "fault" sign hanging outside the door for a long time.

Ona used Shenyin to enter the bathroom, which was a dark and dull place. Ona saw a row of stone pools with peeling surfaces under a large mirror with mottled stains and cracks. He ignored the peeling paint wooden doors of the individual rooms, walked straight to the innermost individual room, and then saw Myrtle.

She was floating in a toilet tank, and she looked at Ona who suddenly appeared in surprise.

"Who are you? Why are you here?! You are not a girl!"

Ona smiled and said hello: "I'm sorry, I'm here to handle things."

Myrtle blushed with shame—the strange thing was that a ghost could allow people to see such a scene. "What's the matter? Is it serious?"

Ona was silent, even though Myrtle was in the second grade when she died, she had been a ghost for half a century after all. "I was entrusted to open the secret room."

Myrtle looked confused, she didn't know what he was talking about. Ona didn't intend to explain too much, he said again: "Remember how you died?"

Myrtle’s entire look suddenly changed. It seemed that no one had ever asked her a question like this, but looking at her look, she obviously felt very honorable.

"Oh, it's terrible!" she said with gusto, "it happened here. I died in this single room, I remember it very clearly. At the time, Olive Humber laughed at me for wearing glasses like a four-eyed dog , I hid here. I locked the door, crying inside, and suddenly heard someone coming in. What they said was funny, I think it must be in another language. But what irritated me most was , I heard a boy’s voice talking. So I opened the door and berated him to walk away to my boys’ toilet, and then—I died."

She suddenly remembered something, and glanced at Ona, her expression somewhat subtle.

"How to die." Ona ignored her.

"I don't know." Myrtle said, "I only remember seeing a pair of scary yellow eyes. My whole body seemed to be caught, and then I floated away..."

"Where did you see those eyes?" Ona interrupted Myrtle directly.

"It's almost there." Myrtle pointed to the pool in front of her, and then saw Ona leaving her and walking over, she hurriedly hid.

The pool looked ordinary, and Ona found a small snake carved on the side of a copper dragon head.

Ona laughed, his handsome face looked a little wicked under the shaking candlelight.

Myrtle looked at him obsessively, as if she saw someone's shadow in him—the one she had been dreaming of for many years.

"Open it." Ona stared at the snake and said with the snake language talent bestowed by Donghuang Taiyi.

There was a sizzling sound from his mouth, the dragon's hair gave out a dazzling white light, and it began to spin quickly. Then, the pool moved, and then slowly disappeared from sight, revealing a very large water pipe. Allow yourself to get in.

Ona didn't plan to go down now, he felt that some animal seemed to have awakened from the depths of the castle-it looked like it had been asleep for a long time.

Ona waited silently for a while, then closed the hole-all he had to do now was to wake it up.

Then Ona smiled and said to Myrtle: "Don't tell anyone."

Myrtle nodded with a little admiration in fear, and then hid in the water tank.

Ona then hurried back to the library. Hermione and Glory didn't notice the slightest abnormality, but Ona could feel something swimming slowly along the pipe, devouring all the creatures it could encounter, such as mice.

Ona didn't care about it, even if he could hear those faint words.

"So hungry...not enough, far from enough..."

After dinner, Harry and Ron looked helpless, and Ona, who learned about it, was helpless. After eight o'clock, the two people left the common room dejectedly.

In the wee hours of the morning, Harry came back first, and Ron arrived later-the slug had already been cured, so he saved a lot of time.

Harry saw that Neville and the others were asleep, and quietly told Ona and Ron about what they heard in Lockhart's office.

"Lockhart said he didn't hear?" Ron confirmed.

Ona knew it well, and he pointed out: "Harry, maybe there is a possibility."

Harry and Ron were stunned, but Harry quickly reacted: "You mean...that?"

"Yeah." Ona nodded, and Ron looked dumbfounded.

"Uh, what are you talking about?" Ron scratched his head, feeling that he couldn't understand their mystery.

"I...actually, can communicate with snakes." Harry said.

"What?" Ron was dumbfounded. "So you are a snake-like voice?"

"Snake voice?" Harry heard the name for the first time.

"Yes, someone who can talk to snakes." Ron said excitedly.

"Is it surprising? I bet many people here can do this... I know that Ona can still talk to birds, bears, tigers, etc.!" Harry said.

"???" Ron was completely stunned, he looked at Ona stiffly, "Are you serious?"

Ona shrugged: "Yes."

"It's not... it shouldn't be!" Ron's head was muddled. "But Harry, by comparison, Snakeman is the worst."

"Why?" Harry was a little upset.

"It's a big deal!" Ron took a careful look at the others and confirmed that they were still asleep before whispering: "Because it is Salazar Slytherin's famous ability to talk to snakes, so Slytherin The symbol of the college is a snake!"
