Hardy Empire 1945

Chapter 58: : This is a publicity strategy

This day, Ava told Hardy that the song was finally recorded.

Hardy took Ava to the film company's arrangement department. Several arrangements were there, even Director Nolan was here.

The phonograph turned, and beautiful music came from the horn.

"Are you going to Scarborough Fair?

   parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,

Please say hello to the one who lives there,

He used to be my true love. "

The beautiful singing voice rippled in the studio, and everyone was intoxicated. Ava held Hardy's arm tightly. She didn't know if Hardy liked the final version.

   The song is over.

Everyone in the house clapped unconsciously.

"Awesome Ava, this is the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I believe this song will be popular throughout the United States and even Europe."

   Hardy smiled and praised.

   Ava jumped up immediately.

Ava’s voice is not as sweet as Sarah Brightman, and has a deeper voice, but Hardy feels that Ava’s version of Scarborough Fair is not lost on anyone’s interpretation.

And she is the original singer.

Benson, the head of the music department.

"This song is so beautiful. Every time I hear it, I am deeply drunk. After the record was recorded last night, I don’t know how many times I played it in a loop, and finally fell asleep in the singing. This night, my dream is sweet."

Other arrangements have also sent beautiful words.

"In fact, when I was doing accompaniment, I felt that I couldn't help myself. I was always fascinated by the tune, and often forgot to arrange it.

"I love this song so much, I'm sure this song will become a classic among the classics."

Nolan also likes this song very much.

I have to say that Ava sings very well, but he has a feeling that this song is not compatible with the upcoming movie "Red Dead Redemption".

The Red Dead Redemption in his mind is the western Gobi, the wind and sand, and the desolation. This song is so beautiful, without the sense of desolation.

Nolan and Hardy talked about their feelings, and Hardy smiled and said: "In fact, when I wrote this song, it was mainly for publicity."

"Our funds are limited, so I thought of an idea. Let Ava sing a song and use it on the radio to publicize that this song is an episode of a movie. When people love this song, they will naturally wonder what it is. The movie, when our movie is released, it will definitely attract a group of viewers to watch it.” Hardy said.

Director Nolan heard this and immediately realized that this was indeed a good way.

Using songs and curiosity to attract the audience, Assistant Hardy’s propaganda method is really wonderful.

   Hardy continued:

"I also know that this song doesn’t match the overall style of the movie. My thoughts at the time were that Marisa had a shot in a cage in the movie. Give her a close-up and ask her to sing in front of the song in a low voice. A short paragraph."

"And the whole song is placed at the back. When the subtitles are played, the picture shows Ava walking in the wilderness, walking slowly forward. The shot can be simple but it must be beautiful, and finally the whole song ends with the subtitles."

Nolan thought about it in his head and found that the effect was very good.

"I think it's totally okay. That's it. There is still a real theme song, Benson, do you have no idea yet." Nolan asked Benson, looking at the arranger.

   Benson spreads out.

"We have thought about it a few times and you are not satisfied. A good song is not so easy to make. Anyway, the film has not yet started. You can wait until the shooting is over before composing." Benson said.

"Can you make a song that I am satisfied with after the shooting?" Nolan frowned.

   "Oh~~"

   Benson can't guarantee.

Hardy looked at these two guys, and remembered the theme song in the big client's movie. When watching the movie, his favorite is the whistle song. Every time he hears the whistle, the western feeling immediately emerges before his eyes.

Hardy also learned this whistle specially before, but only learned the first paragraph. Of course, the beginning paragraph is also the most classic part of the whole song.

"Benson, I have an idea, do you see if this piece of music is appropriate?" Hardy said.

"Oh, Assistant Hardy has a new song?" Benson asked incredulously.

"It's just a short paragraph, listen to it."

   Then Hardy whistled.

   "Woo~~woo~~~~"

The whole piece is about three minutes, and Hardy only plays for one minute and then stops. He will have so much. Let these arrangers add the rest.

   "Does it feel okay?"

   Hardy asked some arrangers.

"Your song is very emotional, it does have a remote and desolate taste." Benson said with some surprise.

"If you add a guitar, will it feel better?"

"I think electric guitars are better."

Several arrangements were discussed directly regardless of others.

Director Nolan looked at Hardy with admiration in his eyes, "Assistant Hardy, I have to say that you are one of the most talented people I have ever met. The whistle just now made me feel a lot. Some places can be improved."

"Director Nolan, how is the preparation of the crew?" Hardy asked.

"It's almost there. The equipment personnel are all ready. The male protagonist is found and the female protagonist is here. The shooting location has also been signed. It is a shooting base of MGM in New Mexico. I plan to leave next week.

   Nolan directed.

"How long do you expect to shoot?" Hardy asked.

   Nolan thought for a while,

"If you don't have a business trip in the middle, it will take about three months to shoot, and there will be post-production when you come back. It will take about two months. It should be released in half a year."

Nolan said this is still ideal.

Benson and the others are still discussing Hardy’s whistle music~www.novelmt.com~ Finally Nolan also joined in. Nolan is a more versatile director. The director is like a conductor. He may not be involved in a certain project. The instrument is better than the performer, but he knows everything.

Hardy asked for a few vinyl records, and he was going to send them back to the radio to show his popularity.

At Siegel’s reception before, Siegel introduced him to several Hollywood entertainment bigwigs. In addition to the bosses of MGM and Warner, there is also the head of Columbia Radio Los Angeles.

   It's right to find them.

   Hardy takes Ava home.

Ava went to take a bath,

Hardy put the film into the turntable, and Ava’s singing sounded in the room again. I have to say that this song is really good, and it can be said to be endless.

No wonder this song will become a world famous song, and it is also known as one of the most beautiful English classics in the world.

   The bathroom door opened slightly.

The woman was wrapped in a bath towel, showing her two slender legs, and she stepped barefoot on the wooden floor, because she had just taken a bath and left a series of water-stained footprints on the floor.

walked to the sofa, Ava knelt beside Hardy, with her delicate face pressed to the man's lap, and humming along with the record.

   "Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme..."

Hardy touched the woman's hair, enjoying the solo singing.

"Jon, I'm going to make a movie next week. I'm afraid I won't be able to see you for three months." Ava said with some dismay.

"Hehe, it's okay, don't forget that I am a filmmaker, and I will go to New Mexico to watch it when I have time."

   One song ends,

   Neither of them heard enough,

Let the turntable play in a loop.

wonderful night,

The two listened to more than a dozen times...
