Going Into the World!

Ildu became John Kim

“Mom, I'm going to study abroad." Immersed in dreams and challenges about the new world, I formally told my mom that I wanted to study abroad.

“Studying? What's wrong with my son all of a sudden?” My mom was dumbfounded by all this nonsense.

“Mom! I want to be a world-class person. It's nice to study hard and be a judge, but you have to be under someone else's feet. I want to be a bigger person. ”

My "big dream" story had left my mom without a word for a while. But he said he would eventually talk to my father about my adult words and my serious attitude.

“Honey, my family wants to study abroad.” That evening, my mom brought it out to my dad.

“Study abroad? Or work? You're a junior, right?”

“Yes, but she wants to be a big person, so she has to experience the world. From what I've heard, I think we've only seen it so young. Do you know if it's really going to be a world-class thing? ”

“Really? Hmm... It won't cost much, will it be on our side?" "

“It's my son Hannah, and I'm going to take care of him and ask him for a favor. I'm sure your mom has some money because she runs a business. But he's the only grandson. He's good at studying.”

With the help of my grandmother and parents, I came to study in a small town in San Francisco, California. Someone my mom knew across the bridge is staying there, so I was supposed to take care of myself while I was at school. Of course, it's not free, and my parents send enough money to the inn lady every month.

No matter how smart I am, language is not something I learn in a day. I started studying English after I decided to study abroad for the first time in Korea.

At that time, I was just a middle school student, always carrying a Walkman play, mumbling and looking at passers-by strangely, going to an English school downtown at my age, and not being able to personally get an English teacher, I had to study relying solely on English books and cassette tapes.

My father bragged about his skills in English, and one day he bought me a book called "Seung-sik Life English," and I took it with me for a whole month and copied it, and I felt like I was doing it. I don't know if I was talented or not, but I feel like the book worked in its own way, so I remember being pushed to memorize and listen.

My current school is Rocksville Secondary School. It is a middle-class community, and because it chooses places where not many Koreans live, white, black/Hispanic, and Asian families are mixed in 70: 20: 10 ratio.

When I first came to this school, I felt a slight atrophy among children who looked quite different from me. After the administrative treatment was done in the English language of the owner who went with him in the office, he was thrown into the new class.

I was thinking about how my homeroom teacher would approach the first classmates I met to take me to class and introduce me to them, but he just introduced me and walked out.

“You can just go into the classroom on a timetable and have a class. If you have any questions, you can ask your teacher. ”

I knew I had to study English, but because of my parents' ignorance, I had no choice but to head to the ground from day one.

After my first class, math class, I bought a cup of coffee to calm my mind. I bumped into a girl while looking for the next class with coffee because I was unlucky. In fact, I was circling around, and the person who bumped into me was that woman.

‘Damn, I stepped on shit. Is this what it looks like? ’

I couldn't cope well with the orc-like girl who practiced just 'listening and reading’ because of her quickfire. I experienced the importance of 'speaking’ with my body.

He was badly beaten, and his long blonde eyes were wide and his skin was white. She was sitting when the teacher first introduced her. I remember her because she looked pretty like a princess, but I was kind enough to take the Orcs away from me.

“Huh? Aren't you John? I saw it this morning at the lookup time.” A pretty girl recognizes me.

“Ugh. Yeah. Really? Nice to meet you."

“Daisy, I think this is the first time he's been to school today. Just let him go. He doesn't even speak English. ”

“Really?” A girl named Daisy, who looks like an orc, glances at me and goes soft.

“John, I'll see you later. ”

Jennifer's the name I overheard on the way with the girl I was following. It was one of the reasons I was brought here that made me re-engrave with my heart.

‘White skin, big blonde eyes, and long legs. That's exactly what I was thinking. You have a good heart, and a good body. Huhuhuhuhu.’

You clench your fist as you watch Jennifer move away. Just a minute, I'm leaving!

Unlike the cold class, I was lucky to meet Sheila. Mr. Sheila, who teaches English, was also in charge of ESL, but when I entered the school, I was not much of a foreign student.

She looks like she's in her late twenties, and when I asked her a question, she answered kindly.

I received a one-on-one tutoring course I had not received in Korea for about three months, so my skills increased. I had already worked hard on grammar, reading and listening, so the cotton absorbed like water.

Later, two people took classes, but after being surrounded all day by English and getting a personal tutorial, they were able to overcome shortages and finish ESL English in just six months.

Sheila praised me for not seeing a child learn English as quickly as I did.

ESL graduation brought me such pride in being able to adapt so quickly to the United States and the regret of not having any more personal time with beautiful teachers.

Although it has only been a year now, it has native-level pronunciation and ‘speaking’. My case is very special when I see my friends who come from the middle 3 to 4 years have to go to speak English properly.

Once my ears and mouth were open and my tongue was rolling properly, my relationship with my friends improved as well. This is when I realized the importance of pronunciation.

I got to know Alfred pretty well at first and asked him why he avoided cool guys like me in the first place.

“John, the first time I talked to you, it didn't feel right. I can't tell if what I'm saying worked for you, because you're so foreign and I'm so focused on your pronunciation. ”

I asked the other kids, and when I focused on my distinctive pronunciation, I couldn't get along. Hearing, talking, even pronunciation. Koreans are sad.

As I put out the fire that fell on the back of my foot, I slowly began to see the beauty of the American school, or Rocksville. First of all, there are a lot of happy girls. Especially Jennifer, Caroline, and Marsha, three beautiful women who look prettier than anyone else, all have their own charms.

“Hi, Jennifer."

“Hi, John.” I came here and named it 'John.' There is no particular reason and it sounds common, but it is a simple reason.

I enter the classroom and get a fresh and sour smell at the same time. I sat down to say hello to Jennifer. Jennifer had long blonde hair and a shy smile on her dark eyebrows that made my chest skip.

Now, a year later, I am somewhat English and I am a popular person who keeps up with the TOP quickly. Western kids don't like Asian kids very much, but I'm now a closer to 180, brilliant student, and girls don't reject me that much. Unlike other Asian children, clean skin and cool face share a share.

“What are you doing after school today? ”

“What's so special about it? ”

“Uh, Giants vs. Dodgers night game. You want to come with me?” I whispered in my ear.

In the meantime, I tried to ask her out because I thought I had helped her sometimes and had a good feeling. ‘Maybe not,’ but I was somewhat confident.

Among nearly 150 students, I felt that I occasionally admired myself for being prominent in discussions or math times.

It was an atmosphere that everyone recognized as an adult and sharp voice, a voice full of conviction, and a person who was somewhat born in my logical and orderly speech.

“Really? Jennifer sends an OK sign showing her unique bright smile. She's so pretty to smile at.

Mike, who was sitting in the back, looks away. You'll curse inside... Damn, if you're jealous, you'll lose.

“See you at 5: 00, right in front of the Prieston Shop." We made promises and exchanged winks.

My heart trembles when I think I'm on my first date. It's the first time in my life.

After school, I came home, studied for a while, and then I opened my closet. I put on jeans neatly and a white cotton tee. It also looks a little on the shoulders and glasses that occur during regular exercise. After tidying up my hair, I took the money and went out to the place. I still had 30 minutes left, so I walked thinking about it.

How far are we going today? ’I didn't have a chance, but I was proud of myself, so I didn't roll. In other words, it was expensive.

I hung out with other girls, but I've only dealt with my school friends.

I've lived a lot of restraints, but it should be easy when rumors that I'm dating someone for no reason.

"Huh. Jennifer, I've been waiting for you..."

Although it was difficult not to consume vigorous power, I was strangely able to concentrate or distribute it. For example, when there was a lot of energy there and it was difficult to control, strengthening the imagination of power spreading in the body reduced the urge and increased the overall vitality.

I asked my other friends one day to be jealous, and they had to figure it out somehow.

“Jennifer!” Thinking about it, I arrived at the meeting place, but Jennifer was here five minutes early.

“No, I'll be right back.” Jennifer takes care of herself and the wind blows her perfume with a hint of makeup and a seductive scent. I was slightly shaken by the excitement.

“You hungry? You want something to eat? ”

“Should I?”

“Out back restaurant across the street? You want me to shoot?”

“Really?” Jennifer, who is still a student and used to go to McDonald's or a pizza place, says she looks good.

Hmm. You should use this. I don't give my parents a lot of money, but sometimes I don't want to give my grandmother several hundred thousand won separately every time she goes to Korea.

We kindly talked about school and friends and entered the restaurant. Dinner at Outback, a mid-range restaurant, also blew away some of the streets that remained. As expected, people get to know each other while eating and drinking together, from East to West.

As you exit the door after finishing your meal, you place your hand slightly on Jennifer's shoulder. Jennifer walks forward without a word. I could feel my heart beating like a bat. Even a brilliant head just walked in silence as if it was useless in front of the woman.

Jennifer's fragrant scent irritates my nose, and I want to grab onto something.

The stadium is on the street, so I'm waiting to catch a bus. It's almost sunset now, so the surroundings are subtle.

I didn't even walk forward, but I just held hands on my shoulders. I forgot what I had planned when I first came up with the soft hand.

She leans against the wall of the station and rubs her hands, and Jennifer looks at the ground embarrassed without a word. I looked up slightly and was furious when my eyes met. I feel bad for that shy face. Phew.

The heat on the baseball stadium has broken us back to being awkward with the stops. When I was in the heat of those who cheered, I became a natural person, joking again. I used to watch Giants and Dodgers matches, but I didn't actually get a good score or score in my head.

The game is already over, but I don't care who wins.

Walking out of the stadium, we naturally headed for the park. Now there are lovers on benches all over the place after 10: 00 p.m. There are so many people without money. Let's go somewhere else.

I sat down with Jennifer on a bench where a lover left me. You wrap your arms slightly around Jennifer's shoulders and feel good.

“Jennifer, do you remember the first day I met you?” I looked at Jennifer and asked her what she was curious about. Do you think Jennifer will remember that day?

“The day you spilled your coffee? You looked so stupid. Kick!” He suddenly smiles and looks at me. I tried to change the atmosphere, but I feel a little stupid. Tsk.

"No one will see you, right? ’I looked around a little. Luckily, everyone was busy with each other, so they didn't seem interested in anything else.

I found Jennifer's lips. Smells good on my mouth. Looking for Jennifer's tongue and tasting the soft flavor, the sensation of excitement sweeps through the body.

For the first time in my life, I can feel something burning on my chest.

Seeing and touching are all the different things. I've been intimate with her at school, but I don't want to let her go because she hugged me and gave me a soft tongue.

But time flies too fast. Sitting on the bench, doing something stupid, suddenly it's almost 12 o'clock.

Jennifer's house was 10 minutes away, so we hugged each other and walked down the street like lovers. Jennifer's arm around my waist now and it won't fall off.

“Did you have fun today? ”

“Yes!”

“Then I'll see you at school tomorrow." I said good-bye and watched Jennifer go into the house.
