Glory To Slytherin

Chapter 99: The Lonely Professor Lockhart

The Gryffindor students discovered something that made them very excited. Their Academy Cup gained more than 400 points overnight, and the ranking climbed directly from the bottom to second.

In order to commend the courage of the three of Harry, Dumbledore added two hundred points to each of them, and won the Special Contribution Award to the school.

Even if one person was deducted fifty points back due to their violation of school rules, they still earned a huge four hundred and fifty points for Gryffindor. This made the little lions excitedly said:

"Our Gryffindor has more points!"

The people of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were envious. Although they didn't show it, they often talked in private.

The Slytherins scoffed at this. They are now ranked first in the Academy Cup, and the biggest hero is undoubtedly Ulysses.

Dumbledore gave him five hundred points.

"He almost saved the school!"

This is Professor McGonagall’s answer when he asked Dumbledore why he rewarded Ulysses with such an appalling score.

These five hundred points resulted in Slytherin not being caught up by Gryffindor, but the gap widened, and it is very likely to regain the Academy Cup that it missed last year.

When it comes to last year's Academy Cup, the Slytherin students are indignant. They kept the lead for almost a whole year, but were picked by Gryffindor at the last minute.

The current situation makes the little snakes exasperated.

"You have Harry Potter, and we also have Ulysses!"

There are not many arguments like this in Slytherin. They are kind to Ulysses, and the distance brought by Ulysses' indifference gradually disappeared the other night.

Ulysses didn't care too much about it. When he heard the news, he just said "Oh" and then argued with Professor Snape.

He was discussing the division of basilisk with Professor Snape, and Ulysses would rather use the five hundred points for a little basilisk to divide the proportion.

Ulysses played a big role in the incident about the basilisk. He destroyed the eyes of the basilisk and severely damaged the basilisk in the auditorium. Both emotions and reason are qualified to divide the basilisk. Professor Snape was the best person to use the basilisk material, so Dumbledore gave him the body of the basilisk.

"Nine points! Professor how did you come up with this kind of plan?"

Ulysses fought hard in Professor Snape's office, and while secretly scolding Professor Snape for being black, he regretted it.

I knew I would kill the basilisk in the secret room, and I wouldn't have bargained with this old bat here.

As a top potion master, Professor Snape's purse is naturally rich. Ulysses is the heir to the family and is fairly wealthy. But the basilisk, a magical creature that has survived for hundreds of years is too rare, and its value is no longer just measurable by Garon.

"I'm a potions professor! I know how to maximize the value of the basilisk! Will you use the materials for you?"

Professor Snape let out a sigh of relief, glanced at him, and said confidently.

"Of course I will! You know my potion level, Professor."

Ulysses was unhappy, and frowned.

Professor Snape stared at him for a long time, and said slowly:

"Eight-two points."

"I added five hundred points to Slytherin!"

Ulysses' eyes turned, and the dead horse was treated as a living horse doctor.

Professor Snape paused, and said coldly:

"Seven three points. That's it. Now, take your share and go out."

Half an hour later, Ulysses left Professor Snape's office with a snake tooth, a small half of snake skin, a small mountain of snake meat, and two buckets of snake blood in his pocket.

The seven-thirds is close to his psychological expectations, and if there are more, he will waste it instead.

Professor Snape, who was diluting snake blood, looked up at Ulysses's back, and said to himself:

"Bellatrix, Rodolphes, Labstein... all have the last name Lestrange, why is the gap so big..."

...

The following days were spent in the sunshine of midsummer.

On the day when the mandela grass was ready to be harvested, the school held a dinner party to celebrate that this troubled school year finally returned to calm.

Mrs. Loris and Colin Creevey woke up one after another, the administrator Filch's complexion improved with naked eyes, and his attitude towards the students was a little milder... almost negligible, there are not many anyway. Students can detect it.

The inside of Colin Crevey's camera was scorched, but this did not prevent him from following Harry all day. Especially after hearing that Harry and the others killed the basilisk, they wanted to move directly to Harry's dormitory.

It's a pity that Ron, Dean and Seamus were driven out together.

At the dinner, everyone was dressed in pajamas, exchanged glasses and enjoyed themselves.

Professor McGonagall announced that to reward everyone for their hard work, this year's final exam was cancelled. All the students clapped and applauded, except for Hermione—she looked disappointed.

Dumbledore announced another thing: Professor Lockhart will no longer serve as a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts after this semester.

The atmosphere of the dinner suddenly reached its peak, and the students completely ignored Professor Lockhart's somewhat embarrassed face and cheered and clapped their hands happily. They didn't care about Professor Lockhart's reason for leaving, anyway, after a semester, everyone understood his teaching level.

To put it harder to say, the stuttering Qi Luo of last semester is more than one grade better than him.

Professor Lockhart walked out of the auditorium somewhat lonely. Ulysses happened to catch a glimpse, thought about it, picked up a glass of juice and followed it out.

"Oh, it's you, Ulysses. You should be in the auditorium, not here...you are their hero and you should enjoy their cheers..."

Professor Lockhart found Ulysses and said with a wry smile.

"It's not like what you would say, Professor."

Ulysses raised his eyebrows and took a sip of juice.

Orange juice is a bit sour.

"Since my magic was sealed, I have understood how uncomfortable it is to be a spectator in an exciting adventure. It's just that I have been hiding well..."

Professor Lockhart lowered his eyebrows and said weakly.

"You will have an own adventure soon, don't you?"

Ulysses smiled and said, "The task Dumbledore explained is not so easy to complete, right?"

Professor Lockhart's face was distressed, he looked around, and said in a very low voice:

"You can be considered an insider, so I'll tell you. He wants me to return to the abyss and be his spy...hell with such a difficult task, isn't this embarrassing me?"

Ulysses shrugged, noncommittal: "If you succeed, you can start to write the first book of own, although it may not be published...but I will read it."

Professor Lockhart was a little embarrassed. He rubbed his hands and asked curiously:

"I've always been curious, how did you know my secret? About... those books..."

Ulysses blinked and drank the orange juice:

"Confidentiality."

"It's the same again, God talks about it, just like Dumbledore..."

Professor Lockhart couldn't help whispering, and then quickly said, "Of course, I mean, you will definitely become a terrible wizard in the future..."

"Who knows the future?"

Ulysses smiled and raised his head.

The moon is like water, and the sky is full of stars.
