Glory To Slytherin

Chapter 184: Panicked Gryffindor

Half an hour ago, Gryffindor common room.

Gryffindor had just won Ravenclaw in the Quidditch game, which allowed their party to open for a day and continued into the night.

The party just ended when Professor McGonagall appeared in a plaid dressing gown and a hairnet.

The exhausted Harry climbed onto the bed, closed the tent of the four-poster bed tightly, blocked the moonlight, and lay down, feeling as if he could immediately fall asleep.

In fact, he did have a dream. He carried a firebolt sent by someone on his shoulder, and followed a silver-white thing, walking in the forest. The speed of the thing was getting faster and faster, and he had to run and follow closely...

There was a loud noise all around, and Harry woke up suddenly, as if he had been hit in the face. He couldn't make out the direction in the dark, and he fumbled around indiscriminately.

The look on Ron's face was extremely frightened, and he said with trembling lips:

"Black! Sirius Black! Take a knife!"

"what?"

"Here! Just a moment ago! Stabbed Weichen with a knife! Woke me up!"

Everyone checked the account, and then returned to the common room in a hurry and yelled, awakening some people.

Percy of the Weasley family hurriedly walked into the common room, pinned the badge of the president of the Boys Student Union to her pajamas, and said sternly:

"Everyone go upstairs!"

"Percy—Sirius Black!" Ron said fearfully, "In our dormitory! Take the knife! Wake me up!"

There was silence in the common room.

Hermione was wrapped in her pajamas and her eyes widened, but she and Ron had recently had a stance of being out of touch with each other. The reason was that Ron’s Rat Spot was missing, and he suspected that Hermione’s pet cat, Crookshank, did it. Because Crookshanks always had the opportunity to chase after the spots, and there were blood stains where the spots disappeared.

"Nonsense!" Percy said in surprise, "You must have eaten too much, Ron, had a nightmare..."

"What are you doing!"

Professor McGonagall came in. She closed the portrait hole heavily and looked around angrily, "I'm glad Gryffindor won the game, but it's too much! Will there be no class tomorrow? Percy, I expected you to take care of everyone. Woolen cloth!"

"This is not my approval, Professor!" Percy said, her chest puffed up with anger, "I was about to put them all to bed! I had a nightmare, Little Brother Ron—"

"Not a nightmare!"

Ron glanced at Hermione without a trace, found her gaze cast elsewhere and then her mouth slumped, and yelled, "I saw Sirius Black standing by my bed with a knife in his hand!"

Professor McGonagall stared at him in surprise.

"Ask him if you don't believe me!"

Ron raised his trembling fingers, pointed at the back of Sir Cadogan's portrait, and said, "Ask if he saw—"

Professor McGonagall glared at him suspiciously, pushed away the portrait, walked outside, and the conversation sounded.

"Sir Cadogan, did you put a man into the Gryffindor Tower just now?"

"Of course, ma'am!" Sir Cadogan exclaimed.

There was a shocked silence inside and outside the common room.

"You—" Professor McGonagall suppressed his anger, "but—why? What about the password?"

"He has a password!"

Sir Cadogan said proudly, "It's a password for one week, my lady! I read it from a small note!"

Professor McGonagall looked at him incredulously, his face as white as chalk.

"Who is it?" she asked in a trembling voice, "Which idiot has written down this week's password and threw it around?"

Neville Longbottom slowly raised his hand, his head trembling from his toes in fluffy slippers.

Professor McGonagall closed his eyes in pain and said weakly, "Just stay where you are, don't walk around." After that, he walked out of the common room and went straight to the principal's room.

Dumbledore and Ulysses exchanged glances in surprise after hearing what Professor McGonagall said.

"What do you say."

Ulysses sighed with emotion.

"Let's check it out first."

Dumbledore got up and walked out, "Ulysses, come and look for any clues."

Professor McGonagall glanced at Ulysses in surprise again. Ulysses returned her helpless look, and the two quickly followed him.

The people in Gryffindor watched Professor McGonagall return after a few minutes, with Dumbledore and Ulysses, and the surprise on their faces could not be concealed.

They haven't seen anyone from other colleges enter the Gryffindor common room.

After Neville Longbottom saw Ulysses, his trembling body trembled more violently.

Now he knew that Ulysses had nothing to do with the Lestranges who tortured his parents, but the psychological barrier was still difficult to cross easily.

"Take me to your dorm, Mr. Weasley."

Dumbledore said gently, Ron's fear gradually faded after seeing the principal's figure, and he nodded and walked upstairs.

Ulysses followed without a word, Harry, Dean and other roommates looked at each other and walked up.

After arriving at their dormitory, Dumbledore's wand flicked, and there was a bright light in the room.

In one of the dormitory's only tents, there were a few shocking scratches. At first glance, they were cut out by someone with a knife. It seemed that they were looking for something.

Dumbledore's old fingers stroked the knife mark, his eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was feeling it with his heart, then he turned his head and asked:

"Can you see anything?"

Ulysses said in his heart that I am not Holmes, and he already knew the truth in his heart, no matter if he didn't show it, otherwise it would be troublesome to explain it.

He didn't take Sirius' matter to his heart, his thoughts were already floating on the illusory scepter. Hearing Dumbledore’s question at this time, he subconsciously shook his head:

"No."

He paused, glanced at Ron, and just wanted to ask something, but after another thought, he swallowed the words in his mouth again.

Dumbledore nodded slightly, his wand flicked lightly in the air, and a light breath was extracted by him, as if he was holding it in his hand. He walked out of the dormitory without saying a word, returned to the common room, and said to Professor McGonagall:

"Thank you, Minerva, let the other professors know. The castle must be thoroughly searched tonight. And the classmates of Gryffindor... Oh you are all here."

The common room was already crowded with people, and Professor McGonagall called out the students as they checked the dormitory.

Sirius Black had just appeared in the Gryffindor Tower, she did not dare to expose the students to the risk of being attacked.

All the Gryffindors stood in confusion in the lounge. Many people noticed the sudden appearance of Ulysses, but the principal and dean were both present, and they were not good at asking questions rashly.

That night, no one in the Gryffindor Tower slept. Everyone was waiting expectantly to hear that Black was captured, but it was not until dawn that Professor McGonagall returned to tell everyone that Sirius Black had escaped again.
