Chapter 28 Gossip

The sky is clouded over.

 The sea is rough.

 The wind howled incessantly.

Rhaegar’s thin figure climbed up a coconut tree and stared at the rising water in panic.

The cold seawater flooded my ankles and gradually swallowed my calves together.

He wanted to shout for help, but his throat seemed to be blocked and he couldn't make a sound no matter what.

Rumble —

A bolt of lightning struck from the dark sky, like a silver bottle exploding, deafening.

The dark clouds in the sky rolled and surged, and suddenly it began to rain heavily, washing away the helpless Rhaegar.

“It’s so cold, where are we?”

The cool rain soaked Rhaegar's skin, and emotions arose in chaos.

 “Hiss…ga…”

With a thunder, the roar of a giant beast came from the sky, echoing continuously.

Rhaegar raised his head blankly, and with the light of lightning, he saw a huge creature breaking through the thick dark clouds, flapping its wings and soaring into the distance.

Rhaegar wanted to see the giant beast clearly, but there was only the noisy sound of rain in his ears.

The rain was flowing down his face, and Rhaegar raised his hand to wipe it away.

When he opened his eyes again, the giant beast flew back without knowing when, spreading its wings and heading towards the island where it had landed.

 “Ah! Don’t come over!?”

A huge, blurry shadow shrouded the top of his head. Rhaegar couldn't help but scream, and his vision went dark.

 The next second.

Rhaegar opened his eyes and shot up from the bed.

"what!"

Chest rose and fell violently, Rhaegar's nerves were tense, and he looked around in fear.

At first sight, the layout of the room is familiar.

After being stunned for a while, Rega wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and flopped down on the bed, his voice full of fear:

“Damn it, it’s another nightmare, and it’s even connected to the last time!”

Obviously, the nightmares in the past were refreshed every few days.

This dream appeared in Rhaegar's dream two nights in a row, which was really too much for him.

Rhaegar sighed: "Maybe this is what I think about every day and dream about every night!"

Yesterday, I was reading ancient books until early in the morning, and I kept thinking about the dreamer in my mind.

This time it’s better, the nightmare is over.

"Everything is different, there must be a demon. Continuous dreams are always rare, and they definitely have some kind of prophetic nature."

Rhaegar tugged at his hair and muttered in annoyance.

 …

After washing, the servants brought bread + milk + fried eggs as usual.

“Are you going to the tourney today, prince?”

After taking the last sip of milk, Ilic walked in just in time, and the time was just right.

Rega gently wiped the milk stains on the side of his mouth and said calmly: "It's nothing to see. Let's go to the dragon's lair. I haven't been there yet."

"OK."

Elic responded in a deep voice.

Before going out, Rhaegar picked up a piece of drawing paper from the table and rolled it up carefully.

Dragon's Den is not close to the Red Castle, so the attendants prepared the carriage in advance and got on the road.

Leaving the Red Castle and entering the King's Landing area.

Elic glanced at Rhaegar from time to time, looking like he was hesitant to speak.

Tired of looking at him, Rhaegar asked: "Sir, is it my dress that's wrong? Why do you look at me like that?"

“No, I just feel like you’re a little down today.”

 Elic expressed his doubts.

They had walked quite some distance, and the usually cheerful prince was silent the whole time, which made it difficult not to worry him.

Rhaegar’s eyes were full of fatigue, and he said melancholy: “I have a nightmare again.”

Hearing this, Ilic noticed that the dark circles under the prince's fair face were getting thicker.

There is already a trend of panda eyes.

"Prince, you may want to find a bachelor for psychological counseling. Insomnia and dreaminess are not a good sign." Ilic gave advice.

Rhaegar smiled mysteriously: "No need, my father asked me to learn to accept dreams, whether they are sweet or bitter."

“With all due respect, you prefer sweets.”

Elic frowned slightly.

“Don’t worry about me. Life is full of bitter, spicy, sour, and sweet flavors. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to taste all the flavors early.”

Rhaegar interrupted Ilic's advice and asked where there was a good blacksmith shop.

Ilic said: "There is a good blacksmith shop on Silk Street, and Old Orn's craftsmanship is well known."

“Then go to this store and buy something on the way.”

After making a decision, Ilic ordered the driver to drive towards the destination.

 …

The royal carriage is not only gorgeous, but also very fast.

Passing through the streets in a swaggering manner, we entered the famous Silk Street.

Finally, we stopped at the door of an inconspicuous blacksmith shop.

Rhaegar opened the curtains and looked outside, and saw a strong young man banging a hammer beside the furnace, sparks flying everywhere.

“This is the grandson of old Orne and a blacksmith’s apprentice.”

Elic mentioned something and protected Rhaega from the carriage.

“Go and call your grandpa out, and tell him that he has a distinguished guest to see him.”

Throwing a gold coin to the blacksmith's apprentice, Ilic gave the order politely.

 “Yes, noble white knight.”

Seeing a silver armor and white robe, the blacksmith apprentice quickly put down his work and ran to the shop.

Not long after, a fat old man with short stature and beard came out.

It is the owner of this blacksmith shop.

Old Aoun took long strides and came to the two of them. He said in a loud voice: "Dear guest, blacksmith Aoun welcomes you."

Speaking, he bowed laboriously to Rhaegar.

Rhaegar looked at the fat old man, secretly feeling interesting.

The two stood face to face. Old Orn was not much taller than Rhaegar, but he could fold him several times horizontally.

Rhaegar took out the drawing paper rolled into a cylinder and explained: "This is the design of a bracelet. I want you to make an exact one as quickly as possible."

“No problem, is it according to your wrist size?”

“Yes, this bracelet was made to replace a gift that didn’t match the size.”

After asking about the customer's needs, Old Aoun patted his chest and said confidently: "Don't worry, just come and pick up the bracelet before the sun goes down. I guarantee it will be exactly right."

“I trust Ilic’s recommendation and pay him my wages, sir.”

 Rega closed the deal cleanly.

Old Aoun did not accept the money bag handed over by Elik, and could not refuse: "I don't want money, and having a prince wear my work is already the most precious reward."

“Oh, how do you know that I am a prince? Why don’t you guess which prince I am?”

Rhaegar looked at the fat old man funny.

Old Orne said seriously: "I have seen the king holding events with his second son Aegon. You are about the same age as him. You must be the eldest son of the first queen, the sleeping young dragon Rhaegar."

“Sleeping baby dragon? What kind of nickname is this? Are you talking about me?”

Rhaegar admired Old Ornn's wisdom, but did not like the prefixes in his mouth.

Old Aoun immediately shut up and said to himself that he had said the wrong thing in a hurry.

Seeing that he didn't dare to say anything, Rhaegar turned his eyes to Ilic and said displeasedly: "Sir, when did I get this nickname?"

Ilic glared at Old Aoun in warning, and whispered: "Since the last hunt in the royal forest, the news about your natural frailty and the blessing of the white deer has spread like wildfire, and has been widely circulated among the people."

“The king has specially ordered to ban rumors about you, but the people still can’t stop the discussion.”

“It wasn’t until you welcomed Princess Rhaenyra back on her last voyage and appeared in front of the public for the first time that you got this nickname.”

Rhaegar frowned and asked, "So my father's restriction on me leaving the Red Keep has something to do with this?"

“There are some reasons, but the king has his own considerations, not all...”

“It’s enough to have a relationship.”
