Furry Ears, His Unknown Brother's Identity

Shao Liling and Liu Shan were having a 'private' conversation, whispering to themselves as smirks evident on their faces, but no one was able to see their faces, the were conversing with hushed tones, turned towards each other and proved that he didn't care about other people at all.

"Yeah, I've just heard this morning that they started dating"

"That was true?? I thought I had a chance with Shao Liling now"

"Don't even dream about it, I heard Liu Shan was very possessive of her"

"I wish I had a boyfriend like that"

All the whispers going around weren't quite enough, anyone could hear them, and by anyone, I meant Mei Ring and her squad.

At first they were frozen with shock, but when they realised what was happening, they charged in madness towards Shao Liling, who was inside Liu Shan's embrace.

"How dare you!??! You dare steal Mei Ring's man? You're just as vicious as a snake!"

"How dare this b*tch, right?"

"Ugh, let's just beat her to a pulp, she wouldn't dare show her face then"

Mei Ring thought of a plan, to act as if she cared about Shao Liling, so that Liu Shan-ge would feel sympathy towards what's she been through.

"Ahh, you don't hav-"

"Don't you dare hurt her like before, I could make all of your families the same as what I did with that girl before, and you, don't go around telling people I'm your boyfriend or some sh*t, I don't even remember you now"

Mei Ring was stopped halfway as they stood their just staring at nothing in particular with a dumbfounded look.

Students around howled like wolves from witnessing the live broadcast of a melodrama, as the other students had fun seeing something like that, other parents were trying to help them, but from all the crowded space from the students, it was impossible to even hear what they had to say themselves.

Mei Ring couldn't believe it, how could her Liu Shan-ge say something like that to her? And plus in public, her reputation would probably drop to rockbottom, whoever goes against Lius or Shaos, have to go through torment, no one was willing to help them, after all, who would support Mei Ring when all she did was spike the anger in Liu Shan AND Shao Liling.

The girls were now suffering through inner dilemmas, should they leave her, or should they stay? whatever the choice, they would have to suffer. All the people left them alone, not willing to go against the couple who just left. The bubbling anger inside Mei Ring exploded as she screamed with all her might, not even a soul hearing her howls as it was just as loud outside.

Shao Liling had at least had Shao Liqin of the hook now, she didn't really have to worry about anything just yet, she still had to meet Ye MinFeng tomorrow. She had to do something that wouldn't raise any suspicion of where she is going. She would stay indoors or just go to a private restaurant so people would not intervene in her business, that way she could just bring Liu Shan with her so the both of them would be spared from Liqin. But the problem is that, how would Shao Liling and Ye MinFeng talk about what had happened a few days ago, if someone else tagged along? Ye MinFeng seems to have trusted her, and she was also very curious about what he had to say to her about it.

MinFeng might not feel comfortable speaking about all of that if someone decides to come along, she just can't. She just feels like she had to listen to it, but only her. As if he is trying to communicate through their her brain, she was getting signals, that he would hesitate to even spurt out a word, just like what had happened on their first date.

Maybe she could just tell him about MinFeng? But that wouldn't be fair, they both don't even know each other how could she just say that if it's someone else's business, and yet she wouldn't even know what to say if she wanted, say that her first date had ears?

If Shao Liling's dilemma isn't enough, Liu Shan just started asking her a bunch of questions,

"When did we start dating?"

"I didn't even know"

"Ugh, am I really losing my mind?"

"Or I am turning old just like you said?"

With a deep breath inhaled, Shao Liling closed her eyes and readied herself to spill the thoughts she had inside her mind.

"Just listen, I am seeing someone these days, and I needed a cover up for that, if you wouldn't mind, could you act like a boyfriend to me? Not all the time just when we're in public"

They already reached his house as the both of them departed together, no one could have a hint about what they're saying, they were in a compartment of the car where a sound wouldn't escape from inside nor something could come from outside, plus the windows were closed tightly so no one knew of what they were discussing about.

"I guess I could do that, but why don't you want anyone to no about that person? Is he that secretive?"

"He likes his privacy to not be invaded, so I'll tell you about him when things smooth down"

Liu Shan nods as a question entered in his mind.

"Aren't you at least going to tell Liqin about it?"

"Nah, she gossips a lot, she might spill it accidentally"

"That is not a way to acknowledge your own sister though"

"Whatever"

They both exited the car when it came to a halt, Shao Liling did not had any intentions of going back to her place as she decided to stay at Liu Shan's house for a bit. She certainly didn't want to see her so-called sister, tired from all the drama, she collapsed on his bed, and immediately fell asleep, without acknowledging her surroundings as Liu Shan came inside the room, a 'tsk' leaving his lips as he stared at his tomboyish best friend crashing in his bed like she owned it, he rolled his eyes one last time and headed towards the en suite bathroom that was connected to his bedroom.
