Frenzy Troll

Bifrost [1]

Fifteen years ago, Cardinal Osron volunteered for Expedition Commander Bifrost.

The ducal title was only a title, but it was also a dream for Osron, where there was no changing business. And there is no other opportunity than a massive expedition to acquire territory.

Under the support of his brother King Os, Osron became a commander, preparing for the expedition with all his might. And I immediately hit a snag. Troops, money, everything was scarce.

It was the same even when all the connections were mobilized to attract supporters. The funding was modestly collected, but the expedition was lacking. Especially if Bifrost, the land of the world's waters, is infested with giants.

I had no choice but to reach out to foreign countries and bring a strong supporter. As a result, Bikappa, a world-renowned banker and mercenary commander, was invited.

In return for the expedition's six grand and five thousand elite troops, Vikappa was appointed to the original government commander.

In addition to being a commander, he agreed to receive many other things such as titles, interest, and mining rights, but this expenditure was also a fatal gamble for Bikappa. Osron is also heavily mortgaged.

The two commanders turned to Bifrost, knowing that if they failed, it would only be suicide.

Since then, battles have continued with fierce monsters and even more dangerous giants. And when the expedition finally triumphed, the occupied Bifrost became a duchess and Osron became a Bifrost ball.

It was worth it for Osron and Mediah. Mediah's territory has grown by more than half in an instant.

But the joy did not last long. I even had to borrow money from Bikappa to start my own Bifrost. And because Osron and even Mediah were not able to repay their debts.

Three years later, Vikappa, who judged that he would not receive interest, instructed his mercenaries to surround the public sphere. Shortly after, Osron was banished from the castle, as well as from Bifrost.

Vikappa, who took possession of the Lost Castle, declared himself Earl Bifrost. Thus, a foreign monarch was born who took the hatred of all in one body.

“Vikappa ordered the raid on the Temple of Eternity. It's obvious.”

In Osron's words, Roland asked.

“Why?”

“That ignorant mercenary insists that Mediah still has to repay itself. He paid for the pioneering, and even if he took over Bifrost, he paid for the expedition. Of course, it's not worth listening to, so you have to ignore it."

The following explanation was:

The news that the king had prepared gold for the ceremony would have entered Vikappa's ears.

Bikapa thought that the king would have to pay him back, so it would be his golden portion for the ceremony. The creditors consider the creditor's wallet to be their own.

Soon Vikappa would have decided to plunder the gold.

That is why he would lure a handful of people who want to join his mercenaries and order a raid on the temple where the gold was carried.

It was a pretty reasonable guess. But it was the truth. It was just a shame for Roland to hear it anyway.

Whoever the assault chest is, whatever Vikappa did, what can this do?

What do you want me to do? You want me to take revenge? You want me to kill that Vikappa guy? ’

“I'll keep that in mind. ”

That's the answer, but Roland groans in his heart. I can't believe you're making that noise in the backyard where you're going.

"Can't you let me enjoy the joy of your arrival? ’

I've been praying for the journey to be over as soon as possible. The march was very, very painful. A little physically, a lot mentally.

In Roland's eyes, this army of misfits was a horde of male robbers.

After sleeping one night, those accused of being stolen were provoked. Sexual harassment has also occurred three cases of attempted rape.

The nervous expedition tries to relieve the depression of the lepers who were carefully followed.

And attempted robbery. Pilgrims who went to buy groceries because they wanted to be poor in supplies, said the price of food offered by the locals was too expensive and wanted to plunder.

Even in this barbaric situation, Cardinal Osron was indifferent. The noble Cardinal pretended not to see everything.

I don't know about the other problems, but Roland had to step up for leprosy. Preventing this situation was a matter of morality as well as necessity. I couldn't let the rumor that the expedition led by the hero persecuted the sick spread.

Protecting them was simple. We just need to stick with the heroes and follow them.

In fact, what was more worrying was the lack of food, but it was simply solved.

The day after Roland stopped the snakes from plundering and negotiated with the farmer to buy some food, Osron stopped by a nearby city for a substantial amount of barley sacks.

There were still too many mouths to eat, so the supplies arrived around the time they were even snatched. A few days later, I stopped by the neighborhood on the road for supplies again.

We didn't have enough food for every meal, but we didn't have enough to make Asaza. I could tell Osron had a good march plan. Osron was never an outsider to a military operation.

Then why are you so indifferent to robberies and violence? As a High Priestess of the Cardinal Church, there's nothing wrong with showing a moral imperfection. ’

It's all over anyway.

Roland sighs in relief and looks forward.

A grey hill, like a huge mountain range, occupies half the view.

If you look closer, you can see that the grey surface of the hill is dead skin. The roots of the world's water are slightly exposed on the ground.

And beyond the root, of course, is the stem.

The expedition shouts.

“Look at the number of the world! ”

A massive gray pillar. Although the width is unrealistic, it is humble compared to its height. From the rise beyond the stratosphere, it is hidden from the clouds.

Bifrost was the city that surrounded the world's demand for something strange.

“Here we are at last! Well done, Ser! ”

A young knight named Wallace approaches you one day.

He was annoyed as Roland because he pretended to be close during the march. But now I was happy to share my joy.

“As you say. ”

Walnut showed a big smile. With a slight smile on his face, Walshna's smile grew bigger, and suddenly, as someone in a rag dresses up, he left.

A leper bowed his head and said.

“You have received unspeakable grace, my lord. ”

Roland replies.

“I just did what I had to do. ”

“Our lives depended on it. Don't want to say I'll pay you back someday, but I'm not up to it. I just want to thank you. If I want to pray for you, the lepers won't reach the gods when I pray. ”

“You will. ”

The leper smiles small.

“I'm Amaric. If I could see you in Valhalla someday · · · · · · ·"

Amaric tries to talk you into it. Because Roland reached out his hand.

What? Shake hands?

With leprosy?

I don't know if it's a pure favor or a flattering display of goodness, but this was also a burden on this side. Amaric wanted to say something, but he couldn't.

Amaric hides his hand on his sleeve and clasps hands with Roland.

After finishing shaking hands, Roland says,

“May the Valkyries guide you. ”

Amaric nods.

“I hope to see you in Valhalla one day. ”

Amaric thinks back to his fellow lepers. Working with leprosy? That knight is certainly brave, no matter what his intentions.

Not the real Lollant.

As a theologian, Amaric was able to write a paper explaining why he couldn't afford a legendary hero. And the paper would only be filled with basic theology, and the professor who received the paper knew that it would not be very impressive because it was so natural.

And he can't possibly know that because he's Cardinal Osron.

Of course, leprosy was none of my business.

The expedition continued to cheer and march towards the water of the world you see there.

Amaric told his colleagues about the leprosy.

“Should we stay hidden and go in when they all go in? ”

Another leper opened his mouth.

“Go with Roland. We don't know what they'll do if we're left alone. ”

Amaric frowns and thinks.

‘No matter how heroic you are, you won't like it if you keep up with them downtown. ’

But I couldn't tell my colleagues. They were naive teeth. I can believe that Roland was real.

In the meantime, I didn't explain why heroes are fake because they don't want to spoil their feelings of joy that they take care of them. Do I have to explain it now and tell them that I don't think they'd like it?

However, I gave up and nodded. You carefully follow the heroes with the rest of the sick.

So I entered Bifrost.
