He smiled and hugged her.

Suddenly the doors opened with a bang. A very furious Wang Jun entered the room, with his anger laced voice he roared.

"What nonsense did I just hear?"

Wang Zunyan stood up in shock, was his father listening the whole time?

"Father I..."

Wang Jun stepped forward, his footsteps making the dark wooden floors crack with each step he took.

Wang Jing stood up as well, this time she was holding a talisman paper, written on it was an incarnation written in blood.

"Don't come closer or else"

He paused, this woman just dared to threaten him? He scoffed.

"Or else what? Jing-Jing you wouldn't even dare to use that talisman on me, what's the name of the spell?" He teased.

"The spell of....of..."

He scoffed again. What a pathetic woman.

"Step aside woman, this is between me and my son, leave"

Wang Zunyan looked at his mother, he could she was worried.

"It's okay, he won't hurt me"

"Come see me once you are done here"

He nodded with a smile.

"Yes"

She walked to the door, she turned around to face her husband's back.

"If you even hurt a hair on his head....I'll kill you"

The doors closed and Wang Jun turned to his son, his eyes flashed orange startling the crowned Prince.

"Now....tell me, what did you mean by you loving Li Xiwang, are you a homosexual?"

Wang Zunyan was silent, should he say yes? What if his father then forbids him from meeting Li Xiwang...and finds him another spouse, no that can't happen.

"I am not....however I fell in love with Li Xiwang...who happened to be a man"

He was baffled, so this shameless boy just confessed that he liked Li Xiwang?

"You two cannot be together, firstly because he is dead and secondly, you have to continue the family name, you will NOT be with any other man"

He stepped forward.

"But father I-"

"No, it's final, if you even think of disobeying me....I'll exile you from the sect"

He froze, exile? He will lose his home, his title, he won't see his mother again and worst of all, no sect will be allowed to take him in.

With a shaky breath, he replies

"Then I suggest you prepare for my exile then"

The doors closed with a loud bang, Wang Jung clenched his hand into a tight fist. So Wang Zunyan would rather be exiled than be a good son and listen to his father's wish? So be it.

"Li Xiwang....if you are alive I'll make sure you are dead and never reincarnate ever again humph!"

Li Jie ran out of Xiangyun Pavilion, in his hand was a wooden staff, Li Jun and Li Qiang looked at each other.

"Why is he bringing a staff?" Li Jun asked, her question was replied by a shrug from Li Qiang.

Li Jie dipped the end of the staff inside the lake water, the two watched in awe as some of the water moved in a snakelike movement going towards Li Jie's hand.

The water reached the other end of the staff and a bright blue light nearly blinded them, once they could see again the staff had changed, it was now a crystal staff with an orb of water floating at the end.

"Step aside" Li Jie commanded, the two watched in awe again as their sect leader levitated on the water, his footsteps causing slight ripples on the water.

"I didn't know Heart cultivators could do such tricks" Li Qiang said in shock. Li Jun giggled

"Me too, it's so fascinating"

Once he had reached the middle of the lake, he stabbed the water with the staff causing waves and strong winds.

There was a loud screech and something jumped out, it's skin green and mouldy, it's eyes blood red, Li Qiang gasped in horror.

"It's the siren Li Xiwang set free!"

The creature screeched again, this time making everyone in the sect to hunch over covering their ringing ears.

With swift movement, Li Jie struck the creature with the staff making it fly over to the land.

A bright blue energy string tied the creature, curtsey to Li Jun.

Li Jie joined them in the land.

"Where does this thing come from?"

"Li Xiwang said it was from the western part of the world, since then I've been doing some research and noticed that these creatures prefer salt water than lake water, so something is off here"

The creature cried out, Li Jun could see the inside of it's mouth, it's throat was dry and bleeding.

"It looks like it was moved here, by who though?"

"If only it could talk"

Li Jie sighed, tossed the staff in the air and clasped his hands together.

"Go rest!"

The staff vanished in the air making Li Jun and Li Qiang gasp. This man was full of surprises.

He turned to the creature, his hand rested on it's bald wet scalp. He shivered and immediately pulled away his hand.

"What's wrong?" Li Jun asked. Li Jie opened his eyes.

"This creature's Shaqi (killing intent) is very high, the person who brought it here must have wronged it somehow"

"What do we do now sect leader?"

He sighed and started to walk ahead.

"Kill it, eliminate all evil"

Zhang Wei and Shao Wen were at Luxi river, since there was no one to cook for them, they were forced to catch their own fish and prepare their own food.

"This is harder than I thought" Shao Wen said, his hair was completely wet and his pale green robe was sticking to his skin.

"Once you get the gist of it you become a master" Zhang Wei replied tossing a fish into a barrel.

Shao Wen could only chuckle with a shake of his head, who knew they'd be doing this, a rich nobleman like him fishing, if word got out he will be a laughing stock.

Something caused an air bubble in the water making them pause, Zhang Wei frowned and stood up.

"What was that?"

"I don't know, maybe a fish"

Suddenly blood made the water red, fish started to float to the surface, the two males ran to the riverbank in fear of their lives.

"What the hell"

"Look!"

Just ahead bald headed creatures started to surface, their eyes alone made the two males' hearts skip a beat.

"What are those things?" Shao Wen asked, Zhang Wei tapped the ground two times and his sword came flying towards the creatures, it came back to him covered in green liquid.

"Green blood?" He asked in shock, this was something he had never seen before.

Shao Wen whistled a sharp tune and a large white owl flew up to the sky, it's hoot making the creatures to freeze in motion.

"The spell will run out after an hour, quick kill them"

Zhang Wei nodded and held his sword tightly, with his bare feet, he ran to the river and slashed the air, an orange flash of energy slashed the creatures in pieces.

Shao Wen whistled in wonder.

"What a strong jianguang (sword light)

Wang Zunyan was at the Yuqiong fields, the sweet scent of the flowers made him reminiscent of the moment he and Li Xiwang shared. He sighed.

"Ah Zun"

He turned around and there was his mother, her eyes were puffy and red making him frown.

"Mother, anything wrong?"

"Ah Zun....run, run!" She cried out, the doors leading to the fields opened with a loud bang and the emperor's disciples came out with blaring swords.

He gasped and ran off, his mother's cries for him making his heart ache in pain, so his father decided to exile him, he released a humourless chuckle.

"You don't deserve the title father anymore"

With the disciples on his heels he maneuvered the sword, the golden blade slashing through the wind and clouds with intense speed.

The disciples sighed in disappointment, the prince was just too fast for them, they turned back to return home.

"Your highness, we failed to catch him"

Wang Jun slammed his fist on the throne armrest.

"Pass my order, Wang Zunyan seizes to be my son and the crowned Prince of WangShi jaizu, if anyone dares to mention his name their tongues will be burnt off"

"Yes sir"

Wang Jing could only watch, her heart was already broken so why bother to try and reason with a stubborn man, she wiped her tears and walked away, her feet taking her to the Yuqiong fields, the once beautiful and serene area now destroyed and stomped on, she got on her knees and re-planted the dug up flowers.

"Ah Zun wouldn't like it if he sees his favourite spot like this, I will take care of it for him"

Li Jun and Li Qiang buried the creature inside the deep forest, they made their way back to Xiangyun Pavilion.

"What do you think caused this?"

"I don't know, what if Li Xiwang was pulled down by that creature and we never knew, he could be dead or.."

Li Jun frowned.

"Or what?"

"Before he disappeared, he was aiming to reach insight so maybe he's doing the biguan (closed door training)"

Looking at the circumstances, it seems like the best option, Li Xiwang did want to reach insight and his mother's death was an obstacle stopping him from reaching that, she sighed.

"Let's hope you are correct"

He landed on the ground and made his way inside the abounded palace, inside he could hear Zhang Wei and his friends laughing and chatting up ahead.

"Childe Zhang"

Zhang Wei turned to face him, Wang Zunyan looked like he was in a fight, his dusty robe and his dishevelled hair made him think that.

"Wang Zunyan? What brings you here"

"Eh....I was wondering if I could stay here for tonight"

He frowned, why would a crowned Prince like Wang Zunyan want to spend the night at an abandoned palace like his, he will ask that in the morning though.

"Sure, we are in the middle of having dinner, would you like some?"

He nodded with a thankful smile. Zhang Wei led him to the table, they sat down and ate.

Xiu Ying smiled at him, even though this Prince is more beautiful than her, she finds herself not being jealous.

"Wang Zunyan, eat up" Zhang Wei said once he noticed he wasn't eating.

He took a bite of the fish and his mind took him back to his mother's cooking, the fire roasted fish made his eyes well up with tears.

"This is delicious" he complimented yet he was crying.

Zhang Wei and the others could only watch, it seems Wang Zunyan went through traumatic events today.
