Everyone Tames Beasts: I End Up Taming Diseases

Soon, Richard came out with a few plates of hot dishes.

The dishes were stir-fried mushrooms and vegetables, fried chicken wings and chicken cutlets, and half a roasted duck respectively.

There were also a few cold dishes, rye bread, milk, and wheat porridge.

Richard distributed the meat onto four plates with a joyful expression on his tanned face.

Adrian looked at the delicious food and could not help but praise Richard. “Richard, your cooking is really good. These dishes look delicious.”

Richard smiled and explained, “It’s because I used to be a cook at a restaurant.”

“A cook?” Adrian was slightly stunned. He asked curiously, “Then, how did you become the leader of a beast-catching team?”

Richard scratched his head and smiled. “It’s because I thought I was making too little money. I heard that I could make a lot of money by creating a beast-catching team, so I did it.”

Adrian nodded gently and suddenly asked, “Richard, why did you prepare four plates? Is anyone else coming?”

“No, this is the food I prepared for a lady.” Richard flashed a rare bashful smile. His honest face was slightly red, as if he was embarrassed.

Upon seeing this, Adrian immediately understood that the lady must be close to Richard.

Adrian had been thinking to himself that it would be better for everyone to take this matter to heart and not expose it. However, he didn’t expect Charles to be so direct.

He simply heard Charles laugh. “Do you like that lady?”

Upon hearing this, Adrian instantly felt helpless.

Couldn’t this stupid boy see that Richard and the girl were having an affair?

Richard’s face turned bright red when he heard this.

He was a little helpless and a little panicky. He was so frightened that even the hand holding the spoon was trembling. He hurriedly shook his head with both hands and said, “No, no. Don’t spout nonsense. Don’t misunderstand our relationship.”

“She also said that she would eat whatever I eat. As long as I make another serving, I can send it to her at any time. Moreover, the remuneration I receive each time is quite generous.”

Richard swallowed hard. His voice finally calmed down slowly when he finished his story.

After Charles heard this, he kept nodding. He looked like he had understood, yet looked like he hadn’t.

However, Adrian could tell that Richard had a crush on the lady, and the lady seemed to have a crush on Richard as well.

Otherwise, why would anyone go through so much trouble just for a meal? Was it really just because the food was delicious?

With that in mind, Adrian couldn’t help but taste Richard’s cooking. He found that it was surprisingly delicious. Thus, he praised Richard again. “No wonder that lady likes your cooking. It’s really delicious.”

“Mr. Adrian, you flatter me.” Richard smiled awkwardly and said softly, “I have to deliver the food to that lady first, or it’ll get cold later.”

Charles couldn’t help but ask in surprise, “Didn’t the lady say that you can send it over anytime? Why don’t you finish your food before going?”

Richard was stunned for a moment before he replied in an uneasy manner, “After all, that lady is a regular customer of mine. Furthermore, I usually do this because the food won’t taste good when it’s cold. As for mine, I just need to heat it up.”

“Do you deliver food to her every day?” Charles asked with the intention of getting to the bottom of this matter.

Richard nodded as he replied, “If there are no accidents, or if I’m not leading a beast-catching team to the Spiritual Beast Forest, I’ll deliver food to her every day.”

Charles said with a strange expression, “You’ve already done so much for her, and yet you still say you don’t like that lady? Only love can make people willing to invest so much effort.”

“Don’t talk nonsense. I’m only here for the remuneration. I’m leaving now.” Richard didn’t speak to Charles in a kind tone and simply scolded him impolitely.

Then, Richard then turned to Adrian with a respectful smile and said, “Mr. Adrian, please have your meal first. If it’s not enough, you can eat my portion. I can make another one when we get back.”

Charles was furious. He stood up and said angrily, “Richard! This is discrimination! Why do you treat Adrian completely differently from how you treat me?!”

He didn’t know if it was because he happened to be talking about food, or if it was because Charles was really annoyed by this injustice. Either way, his reaction seemed extremely intense.

Richard was a little scared. However, he remembered that he was a Bronze Beast Tamer, so why would he be scared of a Black Iron Beast Tamer? Thus, he immediately calmed down and snapped, “If you were as powerful as Mr. Adrian, then I would respect you as much as I respect him. Unfortunately, you’re not. In fact, you’re even weaker than me!”

“So what if I’m weak? Adrian and I are teammates! How can you just be nice to him and not think about my feelings?” Charles said angrily.

Richard was afraid that the food in his hands would get cold, so he hurriedly said, “If Mr. Adrian doesn’t want to eat it, you can eat it if you want, okay? Do you have to be so loud?!”

Charles seemed to have achieved his goal upon hearing this. The anger on his face disappeared instantly.

He smiled foolishly and scratched his head in embarrassment. Then, he sat down and said happily, “I understand. You should leave now.”

Richard was instantly speechless. Then, he ignored Charles and walked out with a plate of hot food.

Adrian looked at Charles helplessly and said slowly, “Charles, what were you doing just now? Was it necessary to do that for a meal?”

Charles stuck his fork into a piece of beef and chewed it in his mouth. Then, his voice was muffled as he spoke. “He doesn’t respect me, so it’s normal for me to lose my temper.”

“But do you look like you’re doing this out of respect?” Adrian asked with a hint of exasperation in his voice as he watched Charles continuously eat.

Charles swallowed hard the food in his mouth and hurriedly drank a mouthful of soup. He looked like he had been starving for many days and was trying hard to stuff all kinds of meat into his mouth. After a while, he finally managed to reply to Adrian. “He said that I can take the food if you don’t eat it.”
