Eternal Tranquility

Chapter 7 Introducing Qi into the Body

After a while, the rain that had lasted for three months came pouring down, accompanied by thunder and lightning. He immediately happily ran to the gap on the right side and used the rainwater that leaked in to wash away the dirt that had accumulated for two or three months on his body. After washing, I felt refreshed and comfortable all over, and the fatigue from the past few days was much lighter.

That night, he had a comfortable and peaceful sleep with the sound of rain on his pillow and dreams of green trees and red flowers all over the mountains and plains.

I just didn't expect that it had been raining for five days and five nights, but it didn't rain at all!

Liu Qinghuan sat on the stone inside the cave, looking out at the gray sky through the gap, sighing endlessly. This whole year has been full of natural and man-made disasters. Either drought or rain, God is going to punish people to death!

Fortunately, the cave is high on the left and low on the right. The rainwater that leaked in accumulated in a small pool below, and the excess soaked into the rocks.

Liu Qinghuan has not been idle these days. He had made up his mind to settle here, so he naturally wanted to take good care of the cave.

Throw all the stones on the left that can be moved to the right, and use the stones that cannot be moved as tables and benches to barely create an open space. I washed the bedding and clothes and hung them to dry on the branches stuck on the ground. When they were dry, I spread them on the big rocks, and then spread them with a layer of hay to make a comfortable bed.

There is still some horse meat. He was very economical along the way. There is no shortage of food for the time being. It shouldn't be too difficult to find some food in the mountains after the rain stops.

But if the rain continues like this, it is very likely to cause floods. Two days ago, he got out of the cave and took a look. The stream at the foot of the mountain had swelled into a river. The ancients said: After a severe drought, there will be a severe flood, and a severe flood is often accompanied by plague, and the more people there are, the more dangerous it is. He is alone in this barren mountain, so he doesn't have to worry about these. He just thinks of the Tongda City at this time. But something happened, and he thought that he didn't know whether the Fu family could reach Tongda City safely.

Originally, he only planned to escape the war and famine here, but now it seems that he will have to stay for a while longer.

With nothing to do, Liu Qinghuan remembered the Sutra of Immortality. He took out the remaining pages and the book, looked at them together again, and confirmed that the Sutra of Forgetting the Immortality was the real original, so he put away the remaining pages and only read the book.

It was rare for a little beggar like him to be able to read the words, and the words in the book were so obscure and profound that it made him grow taller than his head when he read them.

The heavy rain finally subsided on the eighth day, but it still kept falling.

Walking out of the cave, I saw the hazy and towering mountains in the rain, and the air was clear and cool with the coolness of early autumn. The half-dried trees and weeds on the mountain have been moisturized and dyed with fresh green. It seems that they can be seen stretching their branches and stretching comfortably in the rain.

Soon, he found a field of wild taro beside a stream at the foot of the mountain, and a large area of mountain chestnut trees behind the mountain. All kinds of wild vegetables sprouted up after the rain. There are gradually more and more wild animals in the mountains, and occasionally you can see animal footprints by the stream. Once when he was picking mushrooms in the mountains, he encountered a black bear. He was so frightened that he turned around and ran away. Fortunately, he was far away and the black bear did not catch up with him.

Afterwards, Liu Qinghuan became more cautious when entering the mountains. Not only did he always bring the knife with him, he also did not dare to wander around in the mountains without incident.

He found a big stone to block the entrance of the cave, and propped up the arched wooden board on the gap in the roof of the cave, so that it could get light and keep out the wind and rain. I dug a few more traps by the stream, and occasionally I could catch a small animal such as a hare. In this way, I finally no longer had to worry about food and could only concentrate on studying the scriptures.

"The Sutra of Sitting and Forgetting the Immortality" begins with a sermon. At the beginning of learning the Tao, one must sit still, withdraw the mind and leave the environment, without being attached to anything, and enter the void, so that the mind can be aligned with the Tao. Because the environment is created by the mind, only by retracting the mind, making it spotless and transcendent, can we return to the mind of tranquility and nothingness. Faith and respect, breaking off the relationship, retracting the mind, simple things, true contemplation, tranquility, and attaining the Tao. There are seven levels in total, so that you can calm down, calm down, and get rid of desires.

Next, we will start talking about how to practice Taoism, how to sense the Qi between heaven and earth, and how to introduce Qi into oneself to practice.

Liu Qinghuan couldn't quite understand the Taoist texts, but the meridians diagram next to them was clear at a glance.

He followed the example and sat down with his legs crossed as shown in the picture to sense the so-called Qi. However, after only sitting for half an hour, he felt that his legs were numb, he could no longer sit still, and he could not even breathe. Disorganized.

However, he had nothing else to do every day except eating. Coupled with his eagerness to become an immortal, he meditated happily. One month, two months, such a boring thing actually made him persist.

By the third month, Liu Qinghuan was able to sit for two hours without feeling tired, and her breathing and breathing began to keep up with what was written in the book.

Although Qi was still not felt, during the meditation process, Liu Qinghuan felt more and more peaceful in her mind, and realized that she had made great progress, and spent a lot of time in meditation every day.

The mountains are lonely, but also quiet. The hustle and bustle of the world is far away. The little Liu Qinghuan often climbs to the big tree at the entrance of the cave, reads scriptures amidst the chirping of birds and insects, and meditates under the tree. His heart is as untainted as a mirror. dust.

Winter turns to spring, and half a year passes in the blink of an eye.

Early that morning, Liu Qinghuan was sitting cross-legged under the big tree outside the cave, breathing in and out according to the instructions in the scriptures.

The rising sun slowly rose from the east, and its warm sunlight shone on him through the branches and leaves.

It is March, and everything is new. The rolling green mountains are lined with green trees, and red, yellow and gorgeous wildflowers cover the entire mountain and fields, blooming with vitality.

The breeze blew gently, Liu Qinghuan slowly closed her eyes, and her body and mind slowly entered the realm of emptiness.

I don't know how long it took, but a trace of warmth suddenly appeared in the Dantian of his lower abdomen, and it became more and more until it gathered into a stream and circulated in his meridians.

Wherever the warm current with a touch of cyan passed through, the internal organs were nourished until it merged into the Baihui point on the top of the head, then flowed back down and slowly returned to the Dantian.

Liu Qinghuan slowly opened his eyes, his eyes clear and clear. He sat quietly for another incense stick before he came back to his senses from the mysterious realm.

The scenery in front of me was still the same scenery, but it was a little different. He saw a drop of crystal dew slowly slipping from the tip of a leaf on a wild grass in the distance; the branches and leaves of a big tree swayed in the morning breeze, and the veins on the leaves were as clear as before his eyes; an ant held a seed high and drilled it. Enter the small hole in the ground.

Liu Qinghuan raised the corners of her mouth, joy welling up in her heart. He seemed to have inadvertently achieved what the book said about introducing qi into the body, and from then on he truly entered the threshold of spiritual practice.

Lowering his head, he noticed that his whole body was covered with a layer of greasy black mud, which smelled extremely fishy.

Liu Qinghuan quickly got up and rushed towards the creek, and once again found that her body was much lighter than before, she could jump higher, run faster, and seemed to have a lot more strength.

After washing herself in the stream, Liu Qinghuan couldn't wait to go back to the entrance of the cave and sit down, wanting to feel the warmth in her body again.
