Divine Beast Tamer

Upon noticing that a weak creature was stepping on its head, the spider wriggled its body as it wanted to fling the black wolf away. But as if the black wolf had predicted the spider's action, after landing on the spider's head, he then immediately transform the black energy on its feet into tentacle-like form and bind it across the spider's head.

The spider did all it could to fling the wolf away, but it was useless as the wolf was still standing stably on its head. Therefore the spider jumped off the tree upside down, with its back facing the ground, as it planned to flatten the small wolf with its body upon impact.

But again as if the wolf had expected the spider's action, as the spider decided to jump, the wolf immediately jumped off the spider's head and landed on the ground. But as the wolf was still on the air, it changed the tentacle-like form of the black energy into the form of a huge spike with thorns appearing on its surface and then placed it on the spot where the spider would fall.

But due to the wolf's actions of using the black energy as a spike with thorns, it now lacked the ability to protect itself from the impact of its fall.

The distance between the branch and the ground was at least about 50 meters in distance, and this distance wasn't a short one.

Therefore after the fall, the wolf couldn't stably stand anymore.

But Ronald vision wasn't centered at the wolf, but on the spider, which was falling at a speed faster than the wolf, due to their difference in weight. Therefore, the spider reached the ground earlier than the wolf and was impaled by the wolf's black energy.

The spider squirmed as the black energy had directly pierced its head. If the wolf had attacked the spider normally, then the black energy wouldn't deal any significant damage to it. But, due to the force of gravity, the impact of the spider's fall caused the spike with thorns made of the wolf's black energy to pierce the spider's head.

But just piercing a spot wouldn't let the spider feel some pain that would cause it to squirm. The wolf had accurately positioned the spike to pierce the spider's brain. The spike directly pierced on the spider's brain which caused the spider's brain fluids to spurt on the area.

And the wolf's plan didn't end there, as the spider squirm around, the inside of its head was further damaged by the thorns on the surface of the spike that caused it to die faster.

Ronald was really awed at the wolf's intricate plan. It was like the spider was just playing along the wolf's claws. After a moment Ronald looked again at the wolf with a new light.

The wolf was barely able to stand as it wobbled around and looked at Ronald's direction. It didn't even watch the dying spider, as if killing the spider was nothing to it. It looked at Ronald's direction as if it was proving its worth.

As Ronald saw this, he smiled a little and retrieved an excellent quality piece of meat from a spirit beast and threw it to the wolf, before leaving with Freya.

Ronald was really tempted to tame the wolf, although now it was still weak, its planned actions really caught Ronald attention, but his skill needed to reach level 20 before he can tame another beast.

The wolf was even more able than Freya when comparing in the aspect of controlling their energy. Ronald guessed that that wolf had a manipulation skill, like how Freya can freely control the wind in an area, but it wasn't as intricate as the wolf's control on its black energy.

As Ronald left, the wolf looked at the meat that was thrown at it. It thought for a moment before it dragged the meat and slowly followed Ronald with its weak body.

Ronald didn't notice the wolf's action and just walked slowly.

A moment later, a buzzing sound filled the air. This sound confused Ronald so much as the sound was nearing them.

It was not long after the sound was heard, a loud cry followed.

Ronald stood for a moment before he looked at the direction where the voice came from. And upon seeing Selena, his face changed as behind her little figure where hundreds or even thousands of bees.

As Freya saw this, she released her beast lord aura to scare the bees away. But different from what she had expected the beast didn't run, instead, they became more frantic at chasing Selena.

"Freya, it's no use, those bees are like Anteva's ant minions. And if the one controlling them was a beast lord ranked beast like you, then your aura wouldn't be effective.", Ronald said as he saw the status of the bees that were chasing Selena.

Hearing what Ronald said, Freya changed her tactics and used her skill.

Wind energy gathered in front of Freya's mouth before she launched a vortex of wind energy towards the waves of bees, killing the ones in the front and pushing away those at the back.

Freya's attack managed to increase the distance between Selena and the bees. As Selena saw this, she immediately flew frantically to Ronald's direction.

After some time the bees recovered from Freya's attack and immediately looked around.

Corpses of dead bees and destroyed trees scattered around the area. The bees started to frantically search for Ronald's groups, as they saw the scene in front of them, but Ronald's group mystically disappeared.

Without finding anyone, the bees scattered around and widen the range of their search.

Under the cover of the night, a lone wolf was weakly walking while dragging a piece of meat. This wolf was the black forest wolf that killed the spider, it followed Ronald's smell until this area.

The wolf looked around and saw the littered corpse of dead bees and the scattered parts of destroyed trees. It was as if a great disaster happened in the area. After a while, the wolf heard a buzzing sound, and so it looked at the direction where the sound came from. Although it didn't see the one that was making the sound, it still felt an extreme chill when it heard the sound.

This caused the wolf's vigilance to rise, but before it realized what had happened, a strong force pulled it down to the ground.

After some time, the wolf just noticed that it had appeared in an underground cave, where a young man, a white tiger, and a big ant was present. Also, it noticed that the one that dragged him was a huge ant. Its size was smaller than the big ant accompanying the young man but was bigger than the size of the wolf.

The young man released a short sigh before he looked away, while the little white tiger was looking at it with interest. And as for the giant ant, it just took a glance at it for a second before it continued eating on a pile of dead savage beast, seemingly uninterested to its appearance.
