Ronald escorted Arisa and Lily until the entrance of the town, luckily during the 6 days that they were traversing the forest nothing bad happened, they didn't meet any beasts even a single savage beast didn't appear.

Due to this, a question appeared on the two women's mind, "Did the adventurers in the town exterminated all beasts in this region of the Everlast forest?", but they quickly denied this thought, as they knew that it was impossible to exterminate all the beasts of a region if the beasts in the whole Everlast Forest wasn't exterminated, and therefore the two came to a conclusion that they were just lucky.

While the two were thinking of things, Ronald had already asked Luna about this strange occurrence and knew from her that this strange event was not because of their luck, but it was because of Freya.

When Ronald was hunting, Freya would control herself not to release her aura that would startle the beast, but when Ronald was resting, Freya would openly release her aura scaring the beasts in the surroundings. This is why everytime Ronald rested in the forest, he wouldn't be disturbed by some unknown beasts.

But when Freya entered the enlightenment state, she lost control of her aura and instinctively release it in a more aggressive manner scaring even the spirit beasts in the area.

Knowing this, Ronald examined Freya's stats and was shocked at what he saw.

This was the second time that Ronald checked Freya's stats, and he was really awed knowing how strong Freya currently was.

After bidding goodbye to Lily, Ronald didn't enter the village and entered the forest again. Lily strongly suggested to him to come with them, but Ronald didn't budge a bit and just bid them a goodbye and entered the forest again.

An hour later Ronald stopped running and looked in the sky, and saw a silver round moon shining in the horizon.

The moon was extremely beautiful tonight, as it filled the dark night with its calming light.

"The three at the back, why are you following me?", Ronald said with a deep and annoyed voice.

When Ronald, Arisa, and Lily reached the entrance of the village, Luna informed Ronald that, when he first arrived in the village he was being followed until he entered the forest.

At first, Luna discovered some people following Ronald, but she didn't tell him as Freya was with him and could easily deal with those people. But now, Freya entered an enlightenment state and can't give Ronald any protection, therefore, she decided that it would be better to let Ronald know.

Knowing all of these, Ronald thought of losing them inside the forest, but sadly these people that were following him were very good at tracking someone.

Therefore, Ronald stopped moving and just waited for them to come out and talk, as he would just be wasting his energy if he continued to run.

As Ronald said those words, one man with a huge sword on his back, which was emitting a thick scent of blood, came out of the cover of the bushes, and two men in black outfit came out behind the foliage of the trees.

The man with a huge sword said as he laughed maniacally before he suddenly charged while holding the handle of the sword and attacked Ronald which caught him off-guard.

Ronald didn't expect the man to attack as he thought that they just needed something from him, that is why they were following him. But the thick scent of blood emitted by the man's sword said that they were clearly here to kill him.

Although Ronald lived a hard life within the village, he still hadn't been exposed to the dark side of a human. He only thought that only the beast and other races were the only enemies of humanity, but he was very wrong. He thought that a man would be greedy, but he wouldn't kill a fellow human, just like the people in his village, but the world was big and very different from the world he knew.

Luna knew all of this, so she didn't tell Ronald about the killing intent being emitted by these people when they were following him, as she wanted to let Ronald personally experience the dark side of humanity.

"Heavy Slash"

The man used a skill, and his sword glowed with a yellow color as he held the handle of the sword with one hand, and attacked Ronald.

Although Ronald was caught off-guard, he still reacted in the nick of time and dodged the great sword coming to him, by jumping sideways. The great sword made a deep cut on the ground and produced a small earthquake, that caused Ronald to lose his balance when he landed, but then Ronald quickly stabilized himself.

After the man's sword landed to the ground, the man immediately followed his attack with a strong kick, targetting Ronald's stomach.

Seeing the man's kick, Ronald blocked it with his Disassembling knife, but that kick wasn't an ordinary kick, it was one of the man's skills, which caused Ronald to fly as the kick hit the disassembling knife with a very strong force.

Although Ronald blocked the attack, it still dealt a huge damage to him, due to the difference in strength and level.

As Ronald flew due to the strong force behind that man's attack, he quickly used his skill which increased the speed as he flew in the air, which the man and the other two people in black outfit, who was hiding near the spot where they thought Ronald would land, didn't expect.

As the three saw Ronald flew deeper into the forest, they immediately tried to follow him, but as Ronald escaped their vision, he quickly used his skill stealth and hid behind the foliage of the trees.

The three people were clearly annoyed by the events that had transpired, especially the man with a great sword.

They thought that this mission would be easy, as their target was just a greenhorn, but they didn't expect him to escape from their grasps.

The three tried to track Ronald, but due to Ronald's skill Moon Glide, they found no clue as to where or what direction he went.

After some time checking the area separately, searching for clues, the three grouped again before they leave the area together.

On a branch of a big tree, Ronald let out a huge breath before he coughed some blood as he watched the three unknown men leave the area.

Ronald decided to hide there for some time, as he was afraid that the three men will come back.

Ronald thought of what he saw when he used his skill on the three unknown men when they first appeared.

He only saw their levels, and not their name and Hp, the man with a great sword was level 142 while the other two in black outfit that covered even their faces were level 121 and 124.

Thinking back on what had just happened, Ronald's back was soaked with cold sweat.

Everything that happened only occurred for not more than a minute, but everything that transpired put so much pressure to Ronald. Just one mistake, and everything would be over.
