Divine Beast Tamer

In a crowded street in a newly rebuilt village, a young man was walking within the crowd with a little white tiger with wings sleeping on his head and a little girl sleeping on the little tiger's head, though the crowd only saw the tiger and not the little girl.

This young man was Ronald, he was currently on his way, to the temporary building of the Adventurers Guild. After he knew that his parents were alive, Ronald didn't linger near his house anymore. And as for the authenticity of the letter, he was sure that it came from his mother, as it had his mother's mana mark on it.

While Ronald was walking in the morning, he had also collected some information about the new village created after the ruins of the Oakheart Village. This village was created to act as a vanguard and alarm for the kingdom.

After the beast tide subsided, the kingdom sent some investigators and scouts to investigate what happened in the forest, as to why a beast tide occurred at this time.

The scouts and investigators discovered that there was a group of beasts gathering in the lake where the beast king had hidden at that time, this group was composed of varieties of beasts with the ranks starting from savage beasts to the beast lord rank.

After the beast king escaped into the lake, the kingdom arranged many sentries around it, they are tasked to clear all beast that came near the lake and report any strange events happening in the periphery of the lake. But these sentries didn't send any kind of signal or information, so the scouts and investigators checked the place where the sentries are located and discovered that the sentries arranged by the kingdom are annihilated.

And one of the discoveries that shocked them was that the annihilation happened 1 year ago before the beast tide. This discovery alerted the whole kingdom, as they were still receiving letters coming from sentries just a month ago before the beast tide. They are very confused as to who had sent them the letters. Among the sentries, only the captain can send the letter to the kingdom, signed with the captain's mana mark.

Mana mark is a mark created by inserting the wielder's mana into the name of the wielder that was written on any kind of surface. This mana will change the letters of the name into a unique mark or any kind of symbol that would represent the identity of the wielder.

The higher-ups in the kingdom were very confused by this event as the captain was among the dead bodies of the sentries that were discovered in the place that died a year ago. If the captain had already died a year ago, then who was the one that had sent them the information until the beast tide occurred. And another question that they had no answer with is that, if the one that sent them the report and letter was not the captain, then how did they create the captain's mana mark? This questions really brought great unrest and confusion among the higher-ups of the kingdom.

But all these things didn't have any relation to Ronald.

Ronald came to a newly constructed huge building, this building had a huge door with a large signboard above it. Written on the signboard was the words - Adventurers Guild.

The first thing that Ronald saw, when he entered the adventurers guild, were the large tables and long chairs that were arranged in the greater portion of the first floor and the large number of people sitting on it while they are eating, drinking and talking about some things.

Ronald approached a female lady that he thought was an employee of the guild and asked her, "Uhmm... Excuse me miss, where do I go if I want to register."

"Just go over there and asked that lady in the counter and she will tell you what you need to do.", The lady spoke without looking at Ronald as she pointed on a side where there are some people queueing in a line before a counter.

"Thank you, beautiful sister.", Ronald said as he walked into the counter where the lady pointed.

Ronald observed the counter which the lady pointed and noticed that all those that are queueing before the counter, all had young faces. Therefore, Ronald concluded that they were also here to register.

Ronald entered the queue and waited for his turn. After 25 minutes of waiting it was finally his turn.

"I'm here to register.", Ronald replied to her as he observed the lady before him.

"Put your right hand on here.", The lady replied to him as she pointed on a blue stone that was on the table.

Ronald followed what she said and put his hand on a blue stone, and a screen appeared above the stone.

But different from his status screen this screen can also be seen by others.

"Oh... Already at the practitioner stage and a Beast Tamer at that. When did you have your coming of age ceremony?", The lady asked as she saw the screen.

"Uhmm... It was 3 months ago, in the temple within this village."

"That was quite fast for someone who didn't have any background. Okay, wait for a while, we will call your name when your adventurer card is ready.", As she was speaking the lady was writing something on a paper before she put it above a red stone.

Ronald was curious about the blue and red stone, but he didn't ask anything and just searched for a vacant seat near the counter and waited for his name to be called.

After sitting on a seat, Ronald looked around, but he heard someone spoke beside him.

"What a cute little fella, can I touch her?"

Ronald looked at his side and saw a young lady with green hair and big eyes, looking at Freya who was on his head.

"Uhm... sorry miss, she doesn't want to be touched by someone she didn't know.", Ronald replied politely to her as she asked him politely, not like a certain someone who had asked him, like she was commanding him.

"Oh... Then, hi, I'm Lily. What's your name?", The young lady spoke as she fixed her dress and bowed in a lady-like manner before Ronald.

"I am Ronald, and this is Freya. Nice to meet you.", Ronald replied as he bowed with his right hand on his back and his left hand in front of his stomach.

This was the common greetings used in the kingdom when you are greeting someone you didn't know.
