Divine Beast Tamer

Ronald coming out of his cave caused a small commotion in the forest.

In this past days, Ronald and Freya kept hunting all the beasts around the area near the cave from dawn to dusk, which caused those beasts that escaped or those beasts that had hidden very well passed the information to other beasts in the area.

Due to this, some beasts came to Ronald's cave at night to challenge and kill both Ronald and Freya, but they were driven away by Freya's might, and some even died in the entrance of the cave. Ronald didn't know anything about this, as Freya didn't mind about telling him and Luna didn't talk about it either.

Ronald and Freya's coming out of the cave, was a very bad omen to those beasts living in the forest. After that night when they failed to kill Ronald and Freya in their sleep, all the beast in the area came to a decision that they need to arrange the fastest beasts that can act as a scout to notify them when Ronald and Freya came out. These fast-moving beasts also volunteered to help, as this action was related to the survival of the beasts in the area.

Ronald and Freya walked for some time, but they didn't find even a single beast in the area. They had already searched the whole area near the cave, but they didn't go too far from it, because the areas surrounding the cave were the territories of some beast Lord.

The lord of the area, were Ronald and Freya's cave was situated, was the Troll that Freya killed and was eaten by Ronald.

Before Freya found that troll, it had already fought with another Beast Lord rank Beast who wanted to usurp his throne, though it won the battle, it caused him to be severely injured and exhausted. After he killed the other Beast Lord ranked beast, he then let his guard down, not expecting of Freya's fast sneak attack. Even to his death, the troll was very confused on where the little beast lord that killed him came from.

After Freya killed the troll, she became the new lord in the area, but she didn't have any knowledge on how the society of the beasts worked, so she just killed those who came to her to pay their respect for their new lord. In Freya's eyes, these beasts are all experience points that would make her grow stronger every time she killed one.

Time passed slowly, three hours later, Ronald and Freya still didn't find any beasts. Ronald was very annoyed by this, as he only needed one beast to target his skill for him to have another taming slot.

Freya flew above the trees and started searching for any beasts. After some time, Freya saw a suspicious looking beast who was digging on the ground. Freya didn't know what kind of beast it was, but she was delighted. She flew away quietly to not startle the beast and hurriedly flew back to where Ronald was and informed him about her discovery.

After some time, Ronald came running into the place where Freya found the beasts, but they didn't find anything on the surface.

Freya was very confused, so she came to the exact place where the beasts started digging. At first, she didn't notice anything, but after some time walking in the area, she noticed that in the area where that beast was digging, the soil was very soft. So she decided to dig the area, as she thought that the beast was hiding in the ground.

Ronald was confused about Freya's action, as Freya just told him that she found a beast and brought him here, but they didn't see any beast by the time they came here, so he just thought that the beast had already escaped.

After some time digging, Freya found something that was black in color on the ground. Freya remembered that the beast she was black in color, so she started poking the shiny black object. After she poked the shiny black object, it then started quivering intensely.

Ronald also saw the quivering shiny black object, and he was sure that it was a beast. He prepared to kill it immediately, but then stopped, as he wanted to use his skill first for it to level up before killing it.

During the days that he was using his skill , he found out that there is a greater chance of it succeeding when being used on a beaten beast, and the chance of succeeding in taming an unharmed beast was zero.

Ronald used his skill on it, but what happened afterward shocked him.

He didn't expect that he would succeed in taming it, as the beast wasn't injured yet. He had already found a suitable beast for his second taming slot, it was a Spirit beast ranked three-headed hydra, the only spirit beast left in the area, they had purposely avoided hunting it for this reason. But now, everything that he planned was wasted. It will be some time before he can tame another beast.

At this time the shiny black object that was shaking a moment ago was now moving backward. And now Ronald knew that the shiny black object was just a part of the beast's body. After it had fully come out of the hole, Ronald clearly saw its appearance.

This beast appeared to be a giant ant, it was 2 meters in height and 9-10 meters in length, measuring from the tip of its mandibles to the tip of its abdomen.
