liu zilong came back home after his short trip to the hospital. it was in time for breakfast.

even though he could eat in the hospital or somewhere else, he still preferred eating with the family.

it wasn't clear when this activity started that every time everyone was around, it's a must to eat breakfast together. dinner could be neglected as there were definitely times they had to work overtime but breakfast was a different case.

when they were young, it was a pain in the a*s to wake up so early but their father would insist them to do so.

eventually it became a habit. compared to his younger brother, it took him longer time to develop this habit.

when their mom got better they looked forward to their breakfast as she would prepare little things for them.

the simple fried eggs were special for them as it was prepared by their mother. they were proof that she was getting better. their simple breakfast turned into feast before they asked her to limit her effort.

now, a simple balanced meal in the morning became their usual breakfast. though they have helpers, madam liu would still prepare something for her boys.

liu zilong walked towards the dining area since he was informed that breakfast was about to start and they were just waiting for his arrival.

like always he greeted the people with more than necessary enthusiasm.

"i feel so touched that you waited for my arrival before eating." he said with a wide refreshing smile before he sat down on his designated seat.

"quit blabbering. how's your wounds?" madam liu asked his older son. when she woke up she was informed that liu zilong went to the hospital. he wanted to join them for breakfast thus he left early.

"everything's fine. i just have to take a rest and i'll be good." he answered casually. when his gaze moved to the younger liu couple he remembered what happened the night before. he cleared his throat before he spoke again.

"little zi, about last night..."

"it's okay." liu zijian answered and looked at him briefly before he placed some fruits on han meixiu's plate.

"eat this as well." he continued.

han meixiu wasn't really used to eat in the morning. she normally had light meal and in most cases just a soup or warm drink in the past. but every time she's eating with liu zijian during breakfast, he would add more on her plate saying she should 'eat properly'.

she understood that breakfast was really the most important meal of the day but her appetite was saying otherwise.

but if her husband was basically acting this way, she could only obey.

liu zilong who was suddenly shunned by his brother stared in disbelief for two things.

first his brother seemed to 'forgive and forget' what happened last night. he concluded that someone might have already explained the issue about the goodnight to his brother. who could it be? he then looked at his sister in law who was clearly in the middle of planning on how to eat the food on her plate. he sang a song if gratitude inwardly as he gave her a round if applause as well on his mind.

the second was his brother's attentiveness towards his wife. although he knew that he's already married and it was the right thing to do, he still couldn't stop himself from feeling surprise with the sudden changes. of course he's definitely happy it's just that he couldn't imagine his brother would be able to be this kind of man. at first he was worried that liu zijian might not treat han meixiu well thus he supplied him with some 'ideas'. but looking at him now, he was worried for nothing.

there was a warmth smile on his face as he looked at the younger liu couple and it was witnessed by madam liu.

looking at his older son's contented gaze towards the two she somewhat knew what he was thinking but she could not help herself to tease her older son a bit.

"big zi, if you really feel envious then find a wife as soon as possible."

liu ziling heard his mom. he was fully aware that she's teasing him. but he's liu zilong, this kind if simple tease was just nothing to him.

"soon, mom. i'll promise you'll be shocked when i do." he answered and even winked to madam liu while his smile glowed and his eyes shone seemingly captivating the lights around him.

madam liu was completely speechless. this was the reason why sometimes she simply didn't want to tease her older son. he basically knew how to retaliate.

"just be sure it's really a living person." she commented.

"of course. how many do you want?" he continued to torment his mom. he knew she would break this conversation in a reprimanding manner sooner or later.

"liu zilong! polygamy is prohibited in our family!" madam liu said as she put down her chopsticks.

liu zilong laughed. he won. the first one to get emotionally upset would not be him, always.

madam liu glared at her older son. although she knew he would not do it, she really didn't want to hear such things.

the mere thought of sharing her husband she painstakingly pursued and loved with all of her being could actually start a rage within her. she didn't want any woman to experience such thing. even if her own sons would do it, she would most definitely hang then upside down or castrate them.

looking at little zi whi was busy monitoring the meal of his wife, she contentedly smiled. she knew han meixiu would be the only woman who would be close to him.

her ultimate wish for the two to totally love each other might be just around the corner now. her eyes sparkled as she imagined that maybe soon they would give her little version of themselves.

she saw the 'marks' han meixiu tried to hide accidentally earlier when she greeted her. it seemed that the two were indeed active in that aspect.

although she was dying to ask the young woman about it, she still held herself as han meixiu might be embarrassed to answer her. but she planned later before they leave to ask the question she's been holding back.
