Dear Young Master, Spare Me Please?

as the celebration was coming to an end, one by one the guests presented their gifts. they were actually generous but aside from the material things like properties and such, there were individually and personally prepared gifts.

zhang yu was the first to present his. he gave a small envelop to his cousin.

"this was prepared by our grandparents. read it later together."

han meixiu wondered just how many things her grandparents gave to her cousin yu. earlier it was a trinket and now a letter. "is there anything else?" she asked curiously. zhang yu was caught off guard seemingly confused. "things or messages from them? maybe another gift for my first baby and such?" it was just an example that she carelessly thought but the moment it left her mouth, it gained multiple reactions from the surrounding people. after realizing the impact of what she said, her faced was enveloped by a crimson shade. 'i wasn't implying anything.' she wanted to defend herself but for some reason she couldn't open her mouth and bit her lips instead.

"we'll see about that." zhang yu simply answered and a faint smile was engraved on his face. yes, he still has something to give to her in the future.

madam liu upon hearing the word 'baby' couldn't help herself to imagine a cute scenario thus her concentration slowly drifted away from what was happening and verified her 'gift' was indeed appropriate.

li xioazhi obviously didn't have any prepared gift. how could she prepare when she was 'abducted'? before the rage consumed her again, she came closer to han meixiu. she wrote a simple letter earlier and meant to be read later on as well. she then whispered to her best friend, "read it only when you have absolutely nothing to do." the letter was a bit dramatic so it would be better if no one was around when she's reading it. she knew han meixiu wasn't as a cry baby as her but the content of the letter was all her emotions thus her best friend must put her full concentration while reading it.

"it's my turn," liu zilong said in a voice full of vigor and enthusiasm wearing a knock-out smile. he presented a red well wrapped packaged ornamented with a gold ribbon while his eyes danced with joy and a hidden scheme flashed quickly before anyone ever noticed it.

it looked like an ordinary wedding gift so han meixiu wholeheartedly accepted it.

madam liu on the other hand gave a delicate looking elongated box. "meixiu dear, it is a tradition in the liu family to light incense to chase away negative energy. in the room you're staying for the next few days, i already asked the servants to arrange places where you can light the sticks. you need to light at least one in every place specially for the first night." she calmly explained and handed her the box which clearly contained those incense sticks.

han meixiu looked at liu zijian who had been quiet and saw he was knitting his eyebrows but didn't say anything. her gaze landed to mr. liu the next and the latter only cleared his throat and nodded confirming what madam liu had said.

little did she know the master of the liu family was pestered till he agreed to agree with this non-existent 'tradition'. it was only created for this day and maybe in the near future it would really be an authentic tradition. feeling uncomfortable to what he did, he then asked zhang yu for a short talk and excused themselves.

when liu zijian was about to probe the 'tradition' mentioned, he was dragged out by his brother saying he should still discuss something to him leaving the three women behind.

"i also placed a box that contained edible underwear in the bathroom. wear it for your first night." she whispered carefully to her new daughter in law.

han meixiu momentarily stunned and turned red like a tomato upon hearing what her mommy yi said. she couldn't even move her head as she felt it grew bigger and got frozen even though it's almost summer. to her horror her imagination vividly formed where liu zijian was 'eating' her undergarments! she felt she's going to have a massive nosebleed soon!

even though li xiaozhi didn't hear anything but from her best friend's reaction it must have been indecent and not suitable for someone like her. she just moved her gaze away and unfortunately landed on that despicable man who happened to be looking at her, too. she immediately glared and her anger suddenly rose in a split of second when she saw his sexy smirk. 'i'll settle with you, soon!' she angrily told herself.

being pulled away by his brother, liu zijian wasn't as resistant as before. he knew liu zilong was up to something and he's curious what would it be this time. his brother already told him a lot of things and with an excellent memory like him, he obviously remembered them all. he was actually thinking that learning from his brother might be better than reading books. he sounded like an expert and was credible. in short, liu zilong earned his younger brother's respect.

"little zi, do you still want some advice? i still have a lot to give you. but what could you give me in return?" he asked as he felt that his brother was indeed interested to hear more tips from him thought he didn't show it on his face nor say it out loud. as a businessman, couldn't he grab some benefits, too? but really, even without something in return he's more than willing to 'help'.

"what do you want?"

liu zilong smiled widely enough to even brighten the darkest night of an entire moonless sky. he wouldn't disappoint him, right? "the tips of how to please a woman to the point of insanity. sounds interesting?"
