Continuous School

106 The bus ride to hell

The worst part about school. Is getting the bus. It's always flooded with people. If you weren't let out exactly on time, you were going to be on a bus that crushed your face against a stranger's stomach. Luckily. In sixth Form. It doesn't matter as you usually are let out just before everyone else. No rule says you are meant to be let out earlier, but it's just the teachers being kind to us.

The reason as to why I'm saying this is because I'm sitting on the bus. I could walk home, and most days I do. I just felt like taking the bus today. And the best bit? It's practically empty. I managed to get a seat on this double-decker bus and sit at the top, amongst the kings. There was no one up here. I have the whole top for myself. I just hope it stays that way.

The bus passes the stops slowly, it must be an old driver. I can hear someone coming up the stairs, they have quite heavy feet, kinda like a goat. I'm sure they won't sit right down next to me. I'll just look out the window and not even look at them. I'll just stay this way and focus on the tree outside the window.

Plop.

Hmm. that was strange. Whoever this is has decided to plop themselves down right next to me. Are they not aware of the empty seats? Are they blind? No, wait. I think I'm wrong. Something tells me that perhaps I was right about it being a goat. I can feel some heavy breathing down my neck as fear runs down my spine. I don't want to look but I have to know. The sweat pouring down my face won't stop if I don't look.

"Hello, pervert."

'Oh, hello satan.' I thought to myself. Of course, I thought it and didn't say. Charley's sister is the literal devil. Who knows what would happen if she heard that.

"Did you think something rude just now?" She asked with her satanic powers on full display.

"Of course not, Charley jr. I was just thinking about how I haven't seen you in a while."

"Did you miss me that much, Mr pervert?"

"Please stop calling me that," I said with a forced smile, hoping she'll understand the pain I'm going through.

"Why should I, Mr stalker? Do you remember when you first touched me?"

WHAT IS THIS CHILD ASKING?!

"If I remember correctly, you made that up to get me to help you."

"Who said I made it up." She replied with a straight face. "I have pictures to prove it..."

This girl really means this stuff!

"Well, I'll cut you some slack. I did hear that you went shopping with my Chi so it's only fair I treat you right."

Ah, what a wonderful child. She looks no older than 10 but speaks as if she was 100. Also, who is Chi?

"Who is Chi?" I asked.

At that point, I was getting flashbacks of when I last spent time with Charley. I remember seeing the same shop window 5 times all from various angles. Most of the time I was looking up at it.

"I think I'll stick to calling her Charley," I said with a forced laugh.

"Your loss."

We both sat in silence as the bus drove even slower than before. I was 7 stops away from escaping but this bus driver was moving so slow you would think they were dead at the wheel. At least I can escape by looking out the window.

"What are you looking at." The devil asked with a smile on her face.

"Are you talking to me?" I turned around and asked only to see Charley was now also sitting there and they were, in fact, not talking to me.

"Ah, Chi," I said suddenly before being thrown to the front of the bus by the older red demon.

"AHAHAHAHA." The younger demon burst out into laughter as Charley realised what was going on.

"You did this? You got him to call me that?!"

"Of course. I love you, Chi." I can see how she gets away with it. She's cute, alright. Wait no, don't say that. The devil will use her psychic powers to read your mind then you really will be a pervert.

"So, what are you doing here?" Charley asked as if she forgot I was riding public transport.

"I'm riding the bus. Public transport."

"Ah." She said turning red again and threw me back down the bus.

"AHAHAHAHA I LOVE YOU, CHI!"

Grrrr. This family is awful. Please hurry up bus driver!

"So you are in Sixth Form now?" Charley said starting up a normal conversation.

"I didn't realise you were smart?" The devil said poking me.

"Quit it. I'm not that dumb. You should also respect your elders."

"I do respect them." The devil said. "I just don't respect perverts."

This little shit. Thank god Charley isn't like her. Two of them would be hell.

"I was thinking of going Sixth Form," Charley said.

"Well, you've only just started this year. At least make it to April before deciding. Focus on this year's exams."

"Oh. Sixth Form. That means you guys will see each other a lot."

The devil wasn't wrong. Sixth formers have a common room to hang out in during lunch break and whenever they don't have a lesson, so I guess it is possible I'd see her a lot.

"What are you thinking about, Mr pervert?"

What does the devil want now?

"Are you thinking about how you want to get close to Chi? Do you want to kiss Chi? Do you want to have sex with Chi?"

"ALRIGHT THAT'S ENOUGH, YOU SPAWN OF SATAN!" I said sealing her mouth shut with the help from Charley.

"Sorry about her," Charley said looking away with a red face.

"WHY IS YOUR FACE RED!" I screamed, "DID YOU ACTUAL TAKE HER SERIOUSLY?"

"N...no… it's just… nothing…"

WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE FAMILY!

"Ah, this is my stop," I said as my stop was approaching.

"I guess I'll see you at school," Charley said.

"See ya, Mr pervert."

"Bye satanic family."

As I got off the bus I had one of the largest sighs of relief this world had ever seen. I noticed as I got off that this wasn't my stop. I seemed to have mistaken it and still had a bit to walk. But as I was walking one thought kept jumping around in my head.
