Bride of the Dragon Emperor

While the Emperor and General Xiao were in a serious meeting in the Supreme Hall. Somewhere in the Eastern Palace, a certain man can be seen sulking. Sitting beside a large stone near the man-made lake as he was grumpily picking some weeds on the ground. He sadly sniffed as tears on each side of his pair of alluring eyes were threathening to fall. His head bowed and his back hunched in a pitiful manner.

'Why? Why am I here again?!' Xufeng silently cried in his mind.っ╥╯﹏╰╥c

Little Dumpling who was just standing on the side of the lake threw some fish food in the lake. His pair of aloof eyes glanced at the sulking man, who was looking somewhat stupid as he pulled the weeds in front of him.

Discovering the man's outrageously pitiful appearance, the little guy titled his head to the side and pursed his lips. Moments after, he shook his little head and let out a helpless sigh. After feeding the fishes, he laid the empty container on the ground and then walked towards the man.

With a long face, Xufeng turned his head. The man saw the little guy approaching him. In the end, Xufeng pouted and decided to ignore the child. 'The kid was strong anyway.' he thought in his mind. But little did he knew that the little guy would suddenly tripped.

As he saw this, Xufeng let out a crisp curse.

He hastily stood up and run to the little guy's help. Luckily, the little guy wasn't that actually hurt by the fall. It is also good that the lawn was a bit soft and there were no rocks around.

Not until he was fully assured that the little guy was okay, that's when the overly nervous Xufeng let out a sigh of relief. Like a lifeless doll, he listlessly laid on the ground. He felt all of his energy had just left his body. (￣.￣) Just as he was lying there, a series of complains were running in his mind.

'Phew~ That was terrifyingly near.'

'Ugh! Why is this child so unpredictable! He always do something that would make me scared to death!'

'Surely, My hairs will quickly turn white if I remained by this little boy's side. '

And so on... the wave of complains in Xufeng's mind continues.

Meanwhile in the General's Manor...

Xiao Xingxing was currently in her courtyard, reclining on a chair as she happily ate her favorite honey biscuits. Just as she was about to bring her fifth biscuit into her mouth, she suddenly felt a pang of pain on her right arm. The pain was bearable but still, it brought some sort of unexplainable uneasiness into her heart.

Xiao Xingxing raised her sleeve up unto her elbows and saw something like a red thing on it. At first, she thought it was just some simple rash but upon examining it closer, she finally realized that it wasn't just as simple as she thought.

That red thing was a red mark in a phoenix form with it's pair of beautiful wings wide open. Actually the mark wasn't new and was quite familiar to her. Eyes widened, astonishment entirely covered on Xiao Xingxing's peerless face. Starled, her eyes intently focused at the red mark on her arm.

'If her guess was right, then this red mark... Looked exactly like her phoenix birthmark right when she was still Hera. Back then, that phoenix birthmark of hers was also located in her right forearm, just like this one right now.

Why is this.. .

Just then, Ah-jing came. Seeing her Mistress' face which was filled with confusion. The girl immediately felt worried and run to her Miss' side. In case there was a problem, Ah-jing will immediately be there at her miss' reach.

Upon reaching to her Miss' side, the girl noticed that her Miss focusing on something. Curious, she peered into what her Miss was cornerning about. Ah-jing blinked staring at the red phoenix mark on her Miss' arm. She innocently thought, 'When did her Miss has this mark on her forearm?' She was her Miss' personal servant and was always there, helping whenever her Miss was taking a bath or wearing her clothes. Aside from the Madam, she's the second one who only saw her Miss' bare body... So how come she did not know her Miss has this mark?
