Bride of the Dragon Emperor

An unusual aura were now cowling all over the splendid Imperial Palace of Crimson Empire. Cold wind passed through as the entire place turned eerily quiet, looking somewhat like those deserted places in an apocalyptic world.

Both inside and outside were full of kneeling officials and servants. Inside the terrifyingly quiet and spacious throne hall, there kneeled a fat looking man in minister's clothing. His wide forehead lay flat on the cold, bucket full of sweat trickling down all over his round and plump body. Unlike the others, the fat man trembled like crazy and his mind was in a complete mess. Even now that he was in this position, he still did not know why he was now kneeling before the Emperor.

The fat minister slowly lifted his head to look, but that infamous terrifying smile of the Emperor came to his sight. He instantly cowered in fear, afraid to lose his head. Just now, the kneeling fat minister almost peed his pants. Just the feeling of being stared by those pair of menacing eyes of the monarch is more frightening than being pointed at the neck by those thousands of sharp swords.

Moments later, a cold yet commanding voice reverberated in the entire hall. The owner of this voice sat in his chair. There was never a single emotion visible on his perfectly carved face. The man did not like speaking. But when he does, his words were sharp and harsh like knives slashing through their skin, making the receiver spit out blood until their insides turned green.

The man in the dragon throne continued to speak. Even though the man's voice sounded beautiful and silvery, it gives off a malicious and scary vibe like those of a grim-reaper waiting to obtain their lives.

The kneeling fat minister at the center, who's name is Ji Gong now realized why he was being persecuted. It was actually because of his son. But what Minister Ji was curious was, what exactly that great crime his damn son had done to be punished like this by the Emperor himself?

What sort of thing a mere kid can do to make an Emperor this pissed.

Before Minister Ji's question was voiced out, he heard a voice of a guard outside the throne hall, announcing the arrival of the crown prince. The officials present in court as well as all the ministers were perflexed. They all sudddenly felt nervous.

All felt a mixed of emotions in them as they caught sight of a little silhouette slowly emerging from the shadows.

Since this child was born, as ministers and officials at court, they never saw him appear nor given a chance to lay a single glance at little child's silhouette. So today will be their first time to see this little heir to the dragon throne. All of them were practically nervous and excited to see him. Of course, some of them were curious as to why this seemingly elusive crown prince choose to show himself to everyone today.
